Ruku` ke 260 Surah Al-Kahf ~ My QUR`AN

وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِفَتٰىهُ لَآ اَبْرَحُ حَتّٰٓى اَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ اَوْ اَمْضِيَ حُقُبًا ٦٠

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) ketika Musa berkata kepada muridnya: "Aku tidak akan berhenti (berjalan) sebelum sampai ke pertemuan dua buah lautan; atau aku akan berjalan sampai bertahun-tahun".

EN Translation AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!"

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوْتَهُمَا فَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيْلَهٗ فِى الْبَحْرِ سَرَبًا ٦١

ID Translation Maka tatkala mereka sampai ke pertemuan dua buah laut itu, mereka lalai akan ikannya, lalu ikan itu melompat mengambil jalannya ke laut itu.

EN Translation But when they reached the junction between the two [seas], they forgot all about their fish, and it took its way into the sea and disappeared from sight.

فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتٰىهُ اٰتِنَا غَدَاۤءَنَاۖ لَقَدْ لَقِيْنَا مِنْ سَفَرِنَا هٰذَا نَصَبًا ٦٢

ID Translation Maka tatkala mereka berjalan lebih jauh, berkatalah Musa kepada muridnya: "Bawalah kemari makanan kita; sesungguhnya kita telah merasa letih karena perjalanan kita ini".

EN Translation And after the two had walked some distance, [Moses] said to his servant: "Bring us our mid-day meal; we have indeed suffered hardship on this [day of] our journey!"

قَالَ اَرَاَيْتَ اِذْ اَوَيْنَآ اِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَاِنِّيْ نَسِيْتُ الْحُوْتَۖ وَمَآ اَنْسٰىنِيْهُ اِلَّا الشَّيْطٰنُ اَنْ اَذْكُرَهٗۚ وَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيْلَهٗ فِى الْبَحْرِ عَجَبًا ٦٣

ID Translation Muridnya menjawab: "Tahukah kamu tatkala kita mencari tempat berlindung di batu tadi, maka sesungguhnya aku lupa (menceritakan tentang) ikan itu dan tidak adalah yang melupakan aku untuk menceritakannya kecuali syaitan dan ikan itu mengambil jalannya ke laut dengan cara yang aneh sekali".

EN Translation Said [the servant]: "Wouldst thou believe it? When we betook ourselves to that rock for a rest, behold, I forgot about the fish-and none but Satan made me thus forget it - and it took its way into the sea! How strange!"

قَالَ ذٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِۖ فَارْتَدَّا عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًاۙ ٦٤

ID Translation Musa berkata: "Itulah (tempat) yang kita cari". Lalu keduanya kembali, mengikuti jejak mereka semula.

EN Translation [Moses] exclaimed: "That [was the place] which we were seeking!, And the two turned back, retracing their footsetps,

فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَآ اٰتَيْنٰهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِنَا وَعَلَّمْنٰهُ مِنْ لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًا ٦٥

ID Translation Lalu mereka bertemu dengan seorang hamba di antara hamba-hamba Kami, yang telah Kami berikan kepadanya rahmat dari sisi Kami, dan yang telah Kami ajarkan kepadanya ilmu dari sisi Kami.

EN Translation and found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed grace from Ourselves and unto whom We had imparted knowledge [issuing] from Ourselves.

قَالَ لَهٗ مُوسٰى هَلْ اَتَّبِعُكَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًا ٦٦

ID Translation Musa berkata kepada Khidhr: "Bolehkah aku mengikutimu supaya kamu mengajarkan kepadaku ilmu yang benar di antara ilmu-ilmu yang telah diajarkan kepadamu?"

EN Translation Moses said unto him: "May I follow thee on the understanding that thou wilt impart to me something of that consciousness of what is right which has been imparted to thee?"

قَالَ اِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيْعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا ٦٧

ID Translation Dia menjawab: "Sesungguhnya kamu sekali-kali tidak akan sanggup sabar bersama aku.

EN Translation [The other] answered: "Behold, thou wilt never be able to have patience with me –

وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلٰى مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ خُبْرًا ٦٨

ID Translation Dan bagaimana kamu dapat sabar atas sesuatu, yang kamu belum mempunyai pengetahuan yang cukup tentang hal itu?"

EN Translation for how couldst thou be patient about something that thou canst not comprehend within the compass of (thy] experience?"

قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِيْٓ اِنْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ صَابِرًا وَّلَآ اَعْصِيْ لَكَ اَمْرًا ٦٩

ID Translation Musa berkata: "Insya Allah kamu akan mendapati aku sebagai orang yang sabar, dan aku tidak akan menentangmu dalam sesuatu urusanpun".

EN Translation Replied [Moses]: "Thou wilt find me patient, if God so wills; and I shall not disobey thee in anything!"

قَالَ فَاِنِ اتَّبَعْتَنِيْ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِيْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ حَتّٰٓى اُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًا ٧٠

ID Translation Dia berkata: "Jika kamu mengikutiku, maka janganlah kamu menanyakan kepadaku tentang sesuatu apapun, sampai aku sendiri menerangkannya kepadamu".

EN Translation Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof."
