Juz 24

۞ فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ اِذْ جَاۤءَهٗۗ اَلَيْسَ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٣٢

ID Translation Maka siapakah yang lebih zalim daripada orang yang membuat-buat dusta terhadap Allah dan mendustakan kebenaran ketika datang kepadanya? Bukankah di neraka Jahannam tersedia tempat tinggal bagi orang-orang yang kafir?

EN Translation And who could be more wicked than he who invents lies about God? and gives the lie to the truth as soon as it has been placed before him? Is not hell the [proper] abode for all who deny the truth?

وَالَّذِيْ جَاۤءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهٖٓ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ ٣٣

ID Translation Dan orang yang membawa kebenaran (Muhammad) dan membenarkannya, mereka itulah orang-orang yang bertakwa.

EN Translation But he who brings the truth, and he who wholeheartedly accepts it as true - it is they, they, who are [truly] conscious of Him!

لَهُمْ مَّا يَشَاۤءُوْنَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ ذٰلِكَ جَزٰۤؤُا الْمُحْسِنِيْنَۚ ٣٤

ID Translation Mereka memperoleh apa yang mereka kehendaki pada sisi Tuhan mereka. Demikianlah balasan orang-orang yang berbuat baik,

EN Translation All that they have ever yearned for awaits them with their Sustainer: such will be the reward of the doers of good.

لِيُكَفِّرَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ عَمِلُوْا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ اَجْرَهُمْ بِاَحْسَنِ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٣٥

ID Translation agar Allah akan menutupi (mengampuni) bagi mereka perbuatan yang paling buruk yang mereka kerjakan dan membalas mereka dengan upah yang lebih baik dari apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation And to this end, God will efface from their record the worst that they ever did, and give them their reward in accordance with the best that they were doing [in life].

اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهٗۗ وَيُخَوِّفُوْنَكَ بِالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۗ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ هَادٍۚ ٣٦

ID Translation Bukankah Allah cukup untuk melindungi hamba-hamba-Nya. Dan mereka mempertakuti kamu dengan (sembahan-sembahan) yang selain Allah? Dan siapa yang disesatkan Allah maka tidak seorangpun pemberi petunjuk baginya.

EN Translation IS NOT God enough for His servant? And yet, they would frighten thee with those [imaginary divine powers which they worship] beside Him! But he whom God lets go astray can never find any guide,

وَمَنْ يَّهْدِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ مُّضِلٍّ ۗ اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِعَزِيْزٍ ذِى انْتِقَامٍ ٣٧

ID Translation Dan barangsiapa yang diberi petunjuk oleh Allah, maka tidak seorangpun yang dapat menyesatkannya. Bukankah Allah Maha Perkasa lagi mempunyai (kekuasaan untuk) mengazab?

EN Translation whereas he whom God guides aright can never be led astray. Is not God almighty, an avenger of evil?

وَلَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ لَيَقُوْلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۗ قُلْ اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّا تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ اَرَادَنِيَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كٰشِفٰتُ ضُرِّهٖٓ اَوْ اَرَادَنِيْ بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكٰتُ رَحْمَتِهٖۗ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ ۗعَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُوْنَ ٣٨

ID Translation Dan sungguh jika kamu bertanya kepada mereka: "Siapakah yang menciptakan langit dan bumi?", niscaya mereka menjawab: "Allah". Katakanlah: "Maka terangkanlah kepadaku tentang apa yang kamu seru selain Allah, jika Allah hendak mendatangkan kemudharatan kepadaku, apakah berhala-berhalamu itu dapat menghilangkan kemudharatan itu, atau jika Allah hendak memberi rahmat kepadaku, apakah mereka dapat menahan rahmat-Nya?. Katakanlah: "Cukuplah Allah bagiku". Kepada-Nya-lah bertawakkal orang-orang yang berserah diri.

EN Translation And thus it is [with most people]: if thou ask them, “Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth?” - they will surely answer, “God.” Say: “Have you, then, ever considered what it is that you invoke instead of God? If God wills that harm should befall me, could those [imaginary powers] remove the harm inflicted by Him? Or, if He wills that grace should alight on me, could they withhold His grace [from me]?” Say: “God is enough for me! In Him [alone] place their trust all who have trust [in His existence].”

قُلْ يٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمْ اِنِّيْ عَامِلٌ ۚفَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٣٩

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Hai kaumku, bekerjalah sesuai dengan keadaanmu, sesungguhnya aku akan bekerja (pula), maka kelak kamu akan mengetahui,

EN Translation Say: “O my [truth-denying] people! Do yet all that may be within your power, [whereas] I, behold, shall labour [in God’s way]: in time you will come to know

مَنْ يَّأْتِيْهِ عَذَابٌ يُّخْزِيْهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيْمٌ ٤٠

ID Translation siapa yang akan mendapat siksa yang menghinakannya dan lagi ditimpa oleh azab yang kekal".

EN Translation who it is that shall be visited [in this world] by suffering which will cover him with ignominy, and upon whom long-lasting suffering shall alight [in the life to come]!”

اِنَّآ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّۚ فَمَنِ اهْتَدٰى فَلِنَفْسِهٖۚ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَاِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۚوَمَآ اَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيْلٍ ٤١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami menurunkan kepadamu Al Kitab (Al Quran) untuk manusia dengan membawa kebenaran; siapa yang mendapat petunjuk maka (petunjuk itu) untuk dirinya sendiri, dan siapa yang sesat maka sesungguhnya dia semata-mata sesat buat (kerugian) dirinya sendiri, dan kamu sekali-kali bukanlah orang yang bertanggung jawab terhadap mereka.

EN Translation BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed upon thee this divine writ, setting forth the truth for [the benefit of all] mankind. And whoever chooses to be guided [thereby], does so for his own good, and whoever chooses to go astray, goes but astray to his own hurt; and thou hast not the power to determine their fate.

اَللّٰهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْاَنْفُسَ حِيْنَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِيْ لَمْ تَمُتْ فِيْ مَنَامِهَا ۚ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضٰى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْاُخْرٰىٓ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ٤٢

ID Translation Allah memegang jiwa (orang) ketika matinya dan (memegang) jiwa (orang) yang belum mati di waktu tidurnya; maka Dia tahanlah jiwa (orang) yang telah Dia tetapkan kematiannya dan Dia melepaskan jiwa yang lain sampai waktu yang ditetapkan. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu terdapat tanda-tanda kekuasaan Allah bagi kaum yang berfikir.

EN Translation It is God [alone that has this power - He] who causes all human beings to die at the time of their [bodily] death, and [causes to be as dead], during their sleep, those that have not yet died: thus, He withholds [from life] those upon whom He has decreed death, and lets the others go free for a term set [by Him]. In [all] this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think!

اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ شُفَعَاۤءَۗ قُلْ اَوَلَوْ كَانُوْا لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ ٤٣

ID Translation Bahkan mereka mengambil pemberi syafa'at selain Allah. Katakanlah: "Dan apakah (kamu mengambilnya juga) meskipun mereka tidak memiliki sesuatupun dan tidak berakal?"

EN Translation And yet, they choose [to worship], side by side with God, [imaginary] intercessors!” Say: “Why - even though they have no power over anything, and no understanding?”

قُلْ لِّلّٰهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيْعًا ۗ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ ثُمَّ اِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٤٤

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Hanya kepunyaan Allah syafa'at itu semuanya. Kepunyaan-Nya kerajaan langit dan bumi. Kemudian kepada-Nya-lah kamu dikembalikan"

EN Translation Say: “God’s alone is [the power to bestow the right of] intercession: His [alone] is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; and, in the end, Unto Him you will all be brought back.”

وَاِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَـَٔزَّتْ قُلُوْبُ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَاِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖٓ اِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَ ٤٥

ID Translation Dan apabila hanya nama Allah saja disebut, kesallah hati orang-orang yang tidak beriman kepada kehidupan akhirat; dan apabila nama sembahan-sembahan selain Allah yang disebut, tiba-tiba mereka bergirang hati.

EN Translation And yet, whenever God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who will not believe in the life to come contract with bitter aversion - whereas, when those [imaginary powers] are mentioned side by side with Him, lo, they rejoice!

قُلِ اللهم فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ عٰلِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ اَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيْ مَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ٤٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Wahai Allah, Pencipta langit dan bumi, Yang mengetahui barang ghaib dan yang nyata, Engkaulah Yang memutuskan antara hamba-hamba-Mu tentang apa yang selalu mereka memperselisihkannya".

EN Translation Say: “O God! Originator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of all that is beyond the reach of a created being’s perception, as well as of all that can be witnessed by a creature’s senses or mind! It is Thou who wilt judge between Thy servants [on Resurrection Day] with regard to all on which they were wont to differ!”

وَلَوْ اَنَّ لِلَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مَا فِى الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا وَّمِثْلَهٗ مَعَهٗ لَافْتَدَوْا بِهٖ مِنْ سُوْۤءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِۗ وَبَدَا لَهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُوْنُوْا يَحْتَسِبُوْنَ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan sekiranya orang-orang yang zalim mempunyai apa yang ada di bumi semuanya dan (ada pula) sebanyak itu besertanya, niscaya mereka akan menebus dirinya dengan itu dari siksa yang buruk pada hari kiamat. Dan jelaslah bagi mereka azab dari Allah yang belum pernah mereka perkirakan.

EN Translation But if those who are bent on evildoing posses­sed all that is on earth, and twice as much, they would surely offer it as ransom from the awful suffering [that will befall them] on the Day of Resur­rection: for, something with which they had not reckoned before will [by then] have been made obvious to them by God;

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوْا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ٤٨

ID Translation Dan (jelaslah) bagi mereka akibat buruk dari apa yang telah mereka perbuat dan mereka diliputi oleh pembalasan yang mereka dahulu selalu memperolok-olokkannya.

EN Translation and obvious to them will have become the evil that they had wrought [in life]: and thus shall they be overwhelmed by the very truth which they were wont to deride.

فَاِذَا مَسَّ الْاِنْسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَاۖ ثُمَّ اِذَا خَوَّلْنٰهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنَّاۙ قَالَ اِنَّمَآ اُوْتِيْتُهٗ عَلٰى عِلْمٍ ۗبَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَةٌ وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٤٩

ID Translation Maka apabila manusia ditimpa bahaya ia menyeru Kami, kemudian apabila Kami berikan kepadanya nikmat dari Kami ia berkata: "Sesungguhnya aku diberi nikmat itu hanyalah karena kepintaranku". Sebenarnya itu adalah ujian, tetapi kebanyakan mereka itu tidak mengetahui.

EN Translation NOW [thus it is:] when affliction befalls man, he cries out unto Us for help; but when We bestow upon him a boon by Our grace, he says [to himself], “I have been given [all] this by virtue of [my own] wisdom!” Nay, this [bestowal of grace] is a trial: but most of them understand it not!

قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ٥٠

ID Translation Sungguh orang-orang yang sebelum mereka (juga) telah mengatakan itu pula, maka tiadalah berguna bagi mereka apa yang dahulu mereka usahakan.

EN Translation The same did say [to themselves many of] those who lived before their time; but of no avail to them was all that they had ever achieved:

فَاَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوْا ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ سَيُصِيْبُهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوْا ۙوَمَا هُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ ٥١

ID Translation Maka mereka ditimpa oleh akibat buruk dari apa yang mereka usahakan. Dan orang-orang yang zalim di antara mereka akan ditimpa akibat buruk dari usahanya dan mereka tidak dapat melepaskan diri.

EN Translation for all the evil deeds that they had wrought fell [back] upon them. And [the same will happen to] people of the present time who are bent on wrongdoing: all the evil deeds that they have ever wrought will fall [back] upon them, and never will they be able to elude [God]!

اَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٥٢

ID Translation Dan tidakkah mereka mengetahui bahwa Allah melapangkan rezeki dan menyempitkannya bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya? Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu terdapat tanda-tanda kekuasaan Allah bagi kaum yang beriman.

EN Translation Are they, then, not aware that it is God who grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills? In this, behold, there are messages indeed for peo­ple who will believe!

۞ قُلْ يٰعِبَادِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اَسْرَفُوْا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوْا مِنْ رَّحْمَةِ اللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ جَمِيْعًا ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ ٥٣

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Hai hamba-hamba-Ku yang malampaui batas terhadap diri mereka sendiri, janganlah kamu berputus asa dari rahmat Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa semuanya. Sesungguhnya Dialah Yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation SAY: “[Thus speaks God:] ‘O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God’s mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dis­penser of grace!’”

وَاَنِيْبُوْٓا اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ وَاَسْلِمُوْا لَهٗ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنْصَرُوْنَ ٥٤

ID Translation Dan kembalilah kamu kepada Tuhanmu, dan berserah dirilah kepada-Nya sebelum datang azab kepadamu kemudian kamu tidak dapat ditolong (lagi).

EN Translation Hence, turn towards your Sustainer [alone] and surrender yourselves unto Him ere the suffering [of death and resurrection] comes upon you, for then you will not be succoured.

وَاتَّبِعُوْٓا اَحْسَنَ مَآ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ مِّنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَّاَنْتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُوْنَ ۙ ٥٥

ID Translation Dan ikutilah sebaik-baik apa yang telah diturunkan kepadamu dari Tuhanmu sebelum datang azab kepadamu dengan tiba-tiba, sedang kamu tidak menyadarinya,

EN Translation And ere that suffering comes upon you of a sudden, without your being aware [of its approach], follow the most goodly [teaching] that has been revealed unto you by your Sustainer,

اَنْ تَقُوْلَ نَفْسٌ يّٰحَسْرَتٰى عَلٰى مَا فَرَّطْتُّ فِيْ جَنْۢبِ اللّٰهِ وَاِنْ كُنْتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِيْنَۙ ٥٦

ID Translation supaya jangan ada orang yang mengatakan: "Amat besar penyesalanku atas kelalaianku dalam (menunaikan kewajiban) terhadap Allah, sedang aku sesungguhnya termasuk orang-orang yang memperolok-olokkan (agama Allah),

EN Translation lest any human being should say [on Judgment Day], “Alas for me for having been remiss in what is due to God, and for having been indeed one of those who scoffed [at the truth]!”

اَوْ تَقُوْلَ لَوْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هَدٰىنِيْ لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ ۙ ٥٧

ID Translation atau supaya jangan ada yang berkata: 'Kalau sekiranya Allah memberi petunjuk kepadaku tentulah aku termasuk orang-orang yang bertakwa'.

EN Translation or lest he should say, “If God had but guided me, I would surely have been among those who are conscious of Him!”-

اَوْ تَقُوْلَ حِيْنَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ اَنَّ لِيْ كَرَّةً فَاَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ٥٨

ID Translation Atau supaya jangan ada yang berkata ketika ia melihat azab 'Kalau sekiranya aku dapat kemnbali (ke dunia), niscaya aku akan termasuk orang-orang berbuat baik'.

EN Translation or lest he should say, when he becomes aware of the suffering [that awaits him], “Would that I had a second chance [in life], so that I could be among the doers of good!”

بَلٰى قَدْ جَاۤءَتْكَ اٰيٰتِيْ فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٥٩

ID Translation (Bukan demikian) sebenarya telah datang keterangan-keterangan-Ku kepadamu lalu kamu mendustakannya dan kamu menyombongkan diri dan adalah kamu termasuk orang-orang yang kafir".

EN Translation [But God will reply:] “Yea, indeed! My mes­sages did come unto thee; but thou gavest them the lie, and wert filled with false pride, and wert among those who deny the truth!”

وَيَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ تَرَى الَّذِيْنَ كَذَبُوْا عَلَى اللّٰهِ وُجُوْهُهُمْ مُّسْوَدَّةٌ ۗ اَلَيْسَ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِيْنَ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan pada hari kiamat kamu akan melihat orang-orang yang berbuat dusta terhadap Allah, mukanya menjadi hitam. Bukankah dalam neraka Jahannam itu ada tempat bagi orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri?

EN Translation And [so,] on the Day of Resurrection thou wilt see all who invented lies about God [with] their faces darkened [by grief and ignominy]. Is not hell the [proper] abode for all who are given to false pride?

وَيُنَجِّى اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْۖ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوْۤءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ ٦١

ID Translation Dan Allah menyelamatkan orang-orang yang bertakwa karena kemenangan mereka, mereka tiada disentuh oleh azab (neraka dan tidak pula) mereka berduka cita.

EN Translation But God will safeguard all who were conscious of Him, [and will grant them happiness] by virtue of their [inner] triumphs; no evil shall ever touch them, and neither shall they grieve.

اَللّٰهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۙوَّهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّكِيْلٌ ٦٢

ID Translation Allah menciptakan segala sesuatu dan Dia memelihara segala sesuatu.

EN Translation GOD is the Creator of all things, and He alone has the power to determine the fate of all things.

لَهٗ مَقَالِيْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ ٦٣

ID Translation Kepunyaan-Nya-lah kunci-kunci (perbendaharaan) langit dan bumi. Dan orang-orang yang kafir terhadap ayat-ayat Allah, mereka itulah orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation His are the keys [to the mysteries] of the heavens and the earth: and they who are bent on denying the truth of God’s messages - it is they, they, who are the losers!

قُلْ اَفَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ تَأْمُرُوْۤنِّيْٓ اَعْبُدُ اَيُّهَا الْجٰهِلُوْنَ ٦٤

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Maka apakah kamu menyuruh aku menyembah selain Allah, hai orang-orang yang tidak berpengetahuan?"

EN Translation Say: “Is it, then, something other than God that you bid me to worship, O you who are unaware [of right and wrong]?”

وَلَقَدْ اُوْحِيَ اِلَيْكَ وَاِلَى الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَۚ لَىِٕنْ اَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ٦٥

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah diwahyukan kepadamu dan kepada (nabi-nabi) yang sebelummu. "Jika kamu mempersekutukan (Tuhan), niscaya akan hapuslah amalmu dan tentulah kamu termasuk orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation And yet, it has already been revealed to thee [O man,] as well as to those who lived before thee, that if thou ever ascribe divine powers to aught but God, all thy works shall most certainly have been in vain: for [in the life to come] thou shalt most certainly be among the lost.

بَلِ اللّٰهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُنْ مِّنَ الشّٰكِرِيْنَ ٦٦

ID Translation Karena itu, maka hendaklah Allah saja kamu sembah dan hendaklah kamu termasuk orang-orang yang bersyukur".

EN Translation Nay, but thou shalt worship God [alone], and be among those who are grateful [to Him]!

وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهٖۖ وَالْاَرْضُ جَمِيْعًا قَبْضَتُهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ وَالسَّمٰوٰتُ مَطْوِيّٰتٌۢ بِيَمِيْنِهٖ ۗسُبْحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ٦٧

ID Translation Dan mereka tidak mengagungkan Allah dengan pengagungan yang semestinya padahal bumi seluruhnya dalam genggaman-Nya pada hari kiamat dan langit digulung dengan tangan kanan-Nya. Maha Suci Tuhan dan Maha Tinggi Dia dari apa yang mereka persekutukan.

EN Translation And no true understanding of God have they [who worship aught beside Him], inasmuch as the whole of the earth will be as a [mere] handful to Him on Resurrection Day, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: limitless is He in His glory, and sublimely exalted above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity!

وَنُفِخَ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا مَنْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ ۗ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيْهِ اُخْرٰى فَاِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَّنْظُرُوْنَ ٦٨

ID Translation Dan ditiuplah sangkakala, maka matilah siapa yang di langit dan di bumi kecuali siapa yang dikehendaki Allah. Kemudian ditiup sangkakala itu sekali lagi maka tiba-tiba mereka berdiri menunggu (putusannya masing-masing).

EN Translation And [on that Day,] the trumpet [of judgment] will be sounded, and all [creatures] that are in the heavens and all that are on earth will fall down senseless, unless they be such as God wills [to exempt]. And then it will sound again - and lo! standing [before the Seat of Judgment], they will begin to see [the truth]!

وَاَشْرَقَتِ الْاَرْضُ بِنُوْرِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتٰبُ وَجِايْۤءَ بِالنَّبِيّٖنَ وَالشُّهَدَاۤءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ ٦٩

ID Translation Dan terang benderanglah bumi (padang mahsyar) dengan cahaya (keadilan) Tuhannya; dan diberikanlah buku (perhitungan perbuatan masing-masing) dan didatangkanlah para nabi dan saksi-saksi dan diberi keputusan di antara mereka dengan adil, sedang mereka tidak dirugikan.

EN Translation And the earth will shine bright with her Sus­tainer’s light. And the record [of everyone’s deeds] will be laid bare, and all the prophets will be brought forward, and all [other] witnesses; and judgment will be passed on them all in justice. And they will not be wronged,

وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُوْنَ ٧٠

ID Translation Dan disempurnakan bagi tiap-tiap jiwa (balasan) apa yang telah dikerjakannya dan Dia lebih mengetahui apa yang mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation for every human being will be repaid in full for whatever [good or evil] he has done: and He is fully aware of all that they do.

وَسِيْقَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا ۗحَتّٰىٓ اِذَا جَاۤءُوْهَا فُتِحَتْ اَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَآ اَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْكُمْ يَتْلُوْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنْذِرُوْنَكُمْ لِقَاۤءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَا ۗقَالُوْا بَلٰى وَلٰكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٧١

ID Translation Orang-orang kafir dibawa ke neraka Jahannam berombong-rombongan. Sehingga apabila mereka sampai ke neraka itu dibukakanlah pintu-pintunya dan berkatalah kepada mereka penjaga-penjaganya: "Apakah belum pernah datang kepadamu rasul-rasul di antaramu yang membacakan kepadamu ayat-ayat Tuhanmu dan memperingatkan kepadamu akan pertemuan dengan hari ini?" Mereka menjawab: "Benar (telah datang)". Tetapi telah pasti berlaku ketetapan azab terhadap orang-orang yang kafir.

EN Translation And those who were bent on denying the truth will be urged on in throngs towards hell till, when they reach it, its gates will be opened, and its keepers will ask them, “Have there not come to you apostles from among yourselves, who conveyed to you your Sustainer’s messages and warned you of the coming of this your Day [of Judgment]?” They will answer: “Yea, indeed!” But the sentence of suffering will [already] have fallen due upon the deniers of the truth;

قِيْلَ ادْخُلُوْٓا اَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا ۚفَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِيْنَ ٧٢

ID Translation Dikatakan (kepada mereka): "Masukilah pintu-pintu neraka Jahannam itu, sedang kamu kekal di dalamnya" Maka neraka Jahannam itulah seburuk-buruk tempat bagi orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri.

EN Translation [and] they will be told, “Enter the gates of hell, therein to abide!” And how vile an abode for those who were given to false pride!

وَسِيْقَ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ اِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۗحَتّٰىٓ اِذَا جَاۤءُوْهَا وَفُتِحَتْ اَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوْهَا خٰلِدِيْنَ ٧٣

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang bertakwa kepada Tuhan dibawa ke dalam surga berombong-rombongan (pula). Sehingga apabila mereka sampai ke surga itu sedang pintu-pintunya telah terbuka dan berkatalah kepada mereka penjaga-penjaganya: "Kesejahteraan (dilimpahkan) atasmu. Berbahagialah kamu! maka masukilah surga ini, sedang kamu kekal di dalamnya".

EN Translation But those who were conscious of their Sus­tainer will be urged on in throngs towards paradise till, when they reach it, they shall find its gates wide- open; and its keepers will say unto them, “Peace be upon you! Well have you done: enter, then, this [paradise], herein to abide!”

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهٗ وَاَوْرَثَنَا الْاَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّاُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاۤءُ ۚفَنِعْمَ اَجْرُ الْعٰمِلِيْنَ ٧٤

ID Translation Dan mereka mengucapkan: "Segala puji bagi Allah yang telah memenuhi janji-Nya kepada kami dan telah (memberi) kepada kami tempat ini sedang kami (diperkenankan) menempati tempat dalam surga di mana saja yang kami kehendaki; maka surga itulah sebaik-baik balasan bagi orang-orang yang beramal".

EN Translation And they will exclaim: “All praise is due to God, who has made His promise to us come true, and has bestowed upon us this expanse [of bliss] as our portion, so that we may dwell in paradise as we please!” And how excellent a reward will it be for those who laboured [in God’s way]!

وَتَرَى الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةَ حَاۤفِّيْنَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيْلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٧٥

ID Translation Dan kamu (Muhammad) akan melihat malaikat-mmlaikat berlingkar di sekeliling 'Arsy bertasbih sambil memuji Tuhannya; dan diberi putusan di antara hamba-hamba Allah dengan adil dan diucapkan: "Segala puji bagi Allah, Tuhan semesta alam".

EN Translation And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the throne of [God’s] almightiness, extolling their Sus­tainer’s glory and praise. And judgment will have been passed in justice on all [who had lived and died], and the word will be spoken: “All praise is due to God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!”

حٰمۤ ۚ ١

ID Translation Haa Miim.

EN Translation Ha. Mim.

تَنْزِيْلُ الْكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْعَلِيْمِۙ ٢

ID Translation Diturunkan Kitab ini (Al Quran) dari Allah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Mengetahui,

EN Translation THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues from God, the Almighty, the All-Know­ing,

غَافِرِ الذَّنْۢبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيْدِ الْعِقَابِ ذِى الطَّوْلِۗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۗاِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيْرُ ٣

ID Translation Yang Mengampuni dosa dan Menerima taubat lagi keras hukuman-Nya. Yang mempunyai karunia. Tiada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) selain Dia. Hanya kepada-Nya-lah kembali (semua makhluk).

EN Translation forgiving sins and accepting repentance, severe in retribution, limitless in His bounty. There is no deity save Him: with Him is all jour­neys’ end.

مَا يُجَادِلُ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِى الْبِلَادِ ٤

ID Translation Tidak ada yang memperdebatkan tentang ayat-ayat Allah, kecuali orang-orang yang kafir. Karena itu janganlah pulang balik mereka dengan bebas dari suatu kota ke kota yang lain memperdayakan kamu.

EN Translation NONE BUT THOSE who are bent on denying the truth would call God’s messages in question. But let it not deceive thee that they seem to be able to do as they please on earth:

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَّالْاَحْزَابُ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖوَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ اُمَّةٍۢ بِرَسُوْلِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوْهُ وَجَادَلُوْا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَاَخَذْتُهُمْ ۗفَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ ٥

ID Translation Sebelum mereka, kaum Nuh dan golongan-golongan yang bersekutu sesudah mereka telah mendustakan (rasul) dan tiap-tiap umat telah merencanakan makar terhadap rasul mereka untuk menawannya dan mereka membantah dengan (alasan) yang batil untuk melenyapkan kebenaran dengan yang batil itu; karena itu Aku azab mereka. Maka betapa (pedihnya) azab-Ku?

EN Translation to the truth gave the lie, before their time, the people of Noah and, after them, all those [others] who were leagued together [against God’s message-bearers]; and each of those com­munities schemed against the apostle sent unto them, aiming to lay hands on him; and they contended [against his message] with fallacious arguments, so as to render void the truth thereby: but then I took them to task - and how awesome was My retribution!

وَكَذٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اَنَّهُمْ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِۘ ٦

ID Translation Dan demikianlah telah pasti berlaku ketetapan azab Tuhanmu terhadap orang-orang kafir, karena sesungguhnya mereka adalah penghuni neraka.

EN Translation And thus shall thy Sustainer’s word come true against all who are bent on denying the truth: they shall find themselves in the fire [of hell].

اَلَّذِيْنَ يَحْمِلُوْنَ الْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهٗ يُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْاۚ رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَّعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِيْنَ تَابُوْا وَاتَّبَعُوْا سَبِيْلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيْمِ ٧

ID Translation (Malaikat-malaikat) yang memikul 'Arsy dan malaikat yang berada di sekelilingnya bertasbih memuji Tuhannya dan mereka beriman kepada-Nya serta memintakan ampun bagi orang-orang yang beriman (seraya mengucapkan): "Ya Tuhan kami, rahmat dan ilmu Engkau meliputi segala sesuatu, maka berilah ampunan kepada orang-orang yang bertaubat dan mengikuti jalan Engkau dan peliharalah mereka dari siksaan neraka yang menyala-nyala,

EN Translation THEY WHO BEAR [within themselves the knowl­edge of] the throne of [God’s] almightiness, as well as all who are near it, extol their Sustainer’s limitless glory and praise, and have faith in Him, and ask forgiveness for all [others] who have attained to faith: “O our Sustainer! Thou embracest all things within [Thy] grace and knowledge: forgive, then, their sins unto those who repent and follow Thy path, and preserve them from suffering through the blazing fire!

رَبَّنَا وَاَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنّٰتِ عَدْنِ ِۨالَّتِيْ وَعَدْتَّهُمْ وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ اٰبَاۤىِٕهِمْ وَاَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيّٰتِهِمْ ۗاِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُۙ ٨

ID Translation ya Tuhan kami, dan masukkanlah mereka ke dalam surga 'Adn yang telah Engkau janjikan kepada mereka dan orang-orang yang saleh di antara bapak-bapak mereka, dan isteri-isteri mereka, dan keturunan mereka semua. Sesungguhnya Engkaulah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana,

EN Translation “And, O our Sustainer, bring them into the gardens of perpetual bliss which Thou hast promised them, together with the righteous from among their forebears, and their spouses, and their offspring - for, verily, Thou alone art almighty, truly wise –

وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّاٰتِۗ وَمَنْ تَقِ السَّيِّاٰتِ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهٗ ۗوَذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيْمُ ٩

ID Translation dan peliharalah mereka dari (balasan) kejahatan. Dan orang-orang yang Engkau pelihara dari (pembalasan) kejahatan pada hari itu maka sesungguhnya telah Engkau anugerahkan rahmat kepadanya dan itulah kemenangan yang besar".

EN Translation and preserve them from [doing] evil deeds: for anyone whom on that Day [of Judgment] Thou wilt have preserved from [the taint of] evil deeds, him wilt Thou have graced with Thy mercy: and that, that will be the triumph supreme!”

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللّٰهِ اَكْبَرُ مِنْ مَّقْتِكُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْ اِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ اِلَى الْاِيْمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُوْنَ ١٠

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang kafir diserukan kepada mereka (pada hari kiamat): "Sesungguhnya kebencian Allah (kepadamu) lebih besar daripada kebencianmu kepada dirimu sendiri karena kamu diseru untuk beriman lalu kamu kafir".

EN Translation [But,] behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - [on that same Day] a voice will call out unto them: “Indeed, greater than your [present] loathing of yourselves was God’s loathing of you [at the time] when you were called unto faith but went on denying the truth!”

قَالُوْا رَبَّنَآ اَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَاَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوْبِنَا فَهَلْ اِلٰى خُرُوْجٍ مِّنْ سَبِيْلٍ ١١

ID Translation Mereka menjawab: "Ya Tuhan kami Engkau telah mematikan kami dua kali dan telah menghidupkan kami dua kali (pula), lalu kami mengakui dosa-dosa kami. Maka adakah sesuatu jalan (bagi kami) untuk keluar (dari neraka)?"

EN Translation [Whereupon] they will exclaim: “O our Sus­tainer! Twice hast Thou caused us to die, just as twice Thou hast brought us to life!

ذٰلِكُمْ بِاَنَّهٗٓ اِذَا دُعِيَ اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهٗ كَفَرْتُمْۚ وَاِنْ يُّشْرَكْ بِهٖ تُؤْمِنُوْا ۗفَالْحُكْمُ لِلّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيْرِ ١٢

ID Translation Yang demikian itu adalah karena kamu kafir apabila Allah saja disembah. Dan kamu percaya apabila Allah dipersekutukan. Maka putusan (sekarang ini) adalah pada Allah Yang Maha Tinggi lagi Maha Besar.

EN Translation [And they will be told:] “This [has befallen you] because, whenever the One God was invoked, you denied this truth; whereas, when divinity was ascribed to aught beside Him, you believed [in it]! But all judgment rests with God, the Exalted, the Great!”

هُوَ الَّذِيْ يُرِيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِهٖ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ رِزْقًا ۗوَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ اِلَّا مَنْ يُّنِيْبُ ١٣

ID Translation Dialah yang memperlihatkan kepadamu tanda-tanda (kekuasaan)-Nya dan menurunkan untukmu rezeki dari langit. Dan tiadalah mendapat pelajaran kecuali orang-orang yang kembali (kepada Allah).

EN Translation HE IT IS who shows you His wonders [in all nature], and sends down sustenance for you from the sky: but none bethinks himself [thereof] save those who are wont to turn to God.

فَادْعُوا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ١٤

ID Translation Maka sembahlah Allah dengan memurnikan ibadat kepada-Nya, meskipun orang-orang kafir tidak menyukai(nya).

EN Translation Invoke, then, God, sincere in your faith in Him alone, however hateful this may be to those who deny the truth!

رَفِيْعُ الدَّرَجٰتِ ذُو الْعَرْشِۚ يُلْقِى الرُّوْحَ مِنْ اَمْرِهٖ عَلٰى مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ لِيُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِۙ ١٥

ID Translation (Dialah) Yang Maha Tinggi derajat-Nya, Yang mempunyai 'Arsy, Yang mengutus Jibril dengan (membawa) perintah-Nya kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya di antara hamba-hamba-Nya, supaya dia memperingatkan (manusia) tentang hari pertemuan (hari kiamat).

EN Translation High above all orders [of being] is He, in almightiness enthroned. By His Own will does He bestow inspiration upon whomever He wills of His servants, so as to warn [all human beings of the coming] of the Day when they shall meet Him

يَوْمَ هُمْ بَارِزُوْنَ ۚ لَا يَخْفٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ مِنْهُمْ شَيْءٌ ۗلِمَنِ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ۗ لِلّٰهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ ١٦

ID Translation (Yaitu) hari (ketika) mereka keluar (dari kubur); tiada suatupun dari keadaan mereka yang tersembunyi bagi Allah. (Lalu Allah berfirman): "Kepunyaan siapakah kerajaan pada hari ini?" Kepunyaan Allah Yang Maha Esa lagi Maha Mengalahkan.

EN Translation the Day when they shall come forth [from death], with nothing of themselves hidden from God. With whom will sovereignty rest on that Day? With God, the One who holds absolute sway over all that exists!

اَلْيَوْمَ تُجْزٰى كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۗ لَا ظُلْمَ الْيَوْمَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ ١٧

ID Translation Pada hari ini tiap-tiap jiwa diberi balasan dengan apa yang diusahakannya. Tidak ada yang dirugikan pada hari ini. Sesungguhnya Allah amat cepat hisabnya.

EN Translation On that Day will every human being be requited for what he has earned: no wrong [will be done] on that Day: verily, swift in reckoning is God!

وَاَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْاٰزِفَةِ اِذِ الْقُلُوْبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِيْنَ ەۗ مَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ مِنْ حَمِيْمٍ وَّلَا شَفِيْعٍ يُّطَاعُۗ ١٨

ID Translation Berilah mereka peringatan dengan hari yang dekat (hari kiamat yaitu) ketika hati (menyesak) sampai di kerongkongan dengan menahan kesedihan. Orang-orang yang zalim tidak mempunyai teman setia seorangpun dan tidak (pula) mempunyai seorang pemberi syafa'at yang diterima syafa'atnya.

EN Translation Hence, warn them of that Day which draws ever nearer, when the hearts will chokingly come up to the throats: no loving friend will the evildoers have, nor any intercessor who would be heeded:

يَعْلَمُ خَاۤىِٕنَةَ الْاَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى الصُّدُوْرُ ١٩

ID Translation Dia mengetahui (pandangan) mata yang khianat dan apa yang disembunyikan oleh hati.

EN Translation [for] He is aware of the [most] stealthy glance, and of all that the hearts would conceal.

وَاللّٰهُ يَقْضِيْ بِالْحَقِّ ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ لَا يَقْضُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan Allah menghukum dengan keadilan. Dan sembahan-sembahan yang mereka sembah selain Allah tiada dapat menghukum dengan sesuatu apapun. Sesungguhnya Allah Dialah Yang Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Melihat.

EN Translation And God will judge in accordance with truth and justice, whereas those [beings] whom they invoke beside Him cannot judge at all: for, verily, God alone is all-hearing, all-seeing.

۞ اَوَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۗ كَانُوْا هُمْ اَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَّاٰثَارًا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ۗوَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّاقٍ ٢١

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi, lalu memperhatikan betapa kesudahan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka. Mereka itu adalah lebih hebat kekuatannya daripada mereka dan (lebih banyak) bekas-bekas mereka di muka bumi, maka Allah mengazab mereka disebabkan dosa-dosa mereka. Dan mereka tidak mempunyai seorang pelindung dari azab Allah.

EN Translation Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time? Greater were they in power than they are, and in the impact which they left on earth: but God took them to task for their sins, and they had none to defend them against God:

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَانَتْ تَّأْتِيْهِمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَكَفَرُوْا فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّهٗ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ ٢٢

ID Translation Yang demiklan itu adalah karena telah datang kepada mereka rasul-rasul mereka dengan membawa bukti-bukti yang nyata lalu mereka kafir; maka Allah mengazab mereka. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Kuat lagi Maha Keras hukuman-Nya.

EN Translation this, because their apostles had come to them with all evidence of the truth, and yet they rejected it: and so God took them to task - for, verily, He is powerful, severe in retribution!

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami utus Musa dengan membawa ayat-ayat Kami dan keterangan yang nyata,

EN Translation THUS, INDEED, did We send Moses with Our mes­sages and a manifest authority [from Us]

اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامٰنَ وَقَارُوْنَ فَقَالُوْا سٰحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ ٢٤

ID Translation kepada Fir'aun, Haman dan Qarun; maka mereka berkata: "(Ia) adalah seorang ahli sihir yang pendusta".

EN Translation unto Pharaoh, and Haman, and Qarun; but they [only] said, “A spellbinder is he, a liar!”

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا اقْتُلُوْٓا اَبْنَاۤءَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَعَهٗ وَاسْتَحْيُوْا نِسَاۤءَهُمْ ۗوَمَا كَيْدُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اِلَّا فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ ٢٥

ID Translation Maka tatkala Musa datang kepada mereka membawa kebenaran dari sisi Kami mereka berkata: "Bunuhlah anak-anak orang-orang yang beriman bersama dengan dia dan biarkanlah hidup wanita-wanita mereka". Dan tipu daya orang-orang kafir itu tak lain hanyalah sia-sia (belaka).

EN Translation Now [as for Pharaoh and his followers,] when he came to them, setting forth the truth from Us, they said, “Slay the sons of those who share his beliefs, and spare [only] their women!” - but the guile of those deniers of the truth could not lead to aught but failure.

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُوْنِيْٓ اَقْتُلْ مُوْسٰى وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهٗ ۚاِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ اَنْ يُّبَدِّلَ دِيْنَكُمْ اَوْ اَنْ يُّظْهِرَ فِى الْاَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ ٢٦

ID Translation Dan berkata Fir'aun (kepada pembesar-pembesarnya): "Biarkanlah aku membunuh Musa dan hendaklah ia memohon kepada Tuhannya, karena sesungguhnya aku khawatir dia akan menukar agamamu atau menimbulkan kerusakan di muka bumi".

EN Translation And Pharaoh said: “Leave it to me to slay Moses - and let him invoke his [alleged] sustainer! Behold, I fear lest he cause you to change your religion, or lest he cause corruption to prevail in the land!”

وَقَالَ مُوْسٰىٓ اِنِّيْ عُذْتُ بِرَبِّيْ وَرَبِّكُمْ مِّنْ كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ ٢٧

ID Translation Dan Musa berkata: "Sesungguhnya aku berlindung kepada Tuhanku dan Tuhanmu dari setiap orang yang menyombongkan diri yang tidak beriman kepada hari berhisab".

EN Translation But Moses said: “With [Him who is] my Sus­tainer as well as your Sustainer have I indeed found refuge from everyone who, immersed in false pride, will not believe in [the coming of] the Day of Reckon­ing!”

وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤْمِنٌۖ مِّنْ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ اِيْمَانَهٗٓ اَتَقْتُلُوْنَ رَجُلًا اَنْ يَّقُوْلَ رَبِّيَ اللّٰهُ وَقَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ مِنْ رَّبِّكُمْ ۗوَاِنْ يَّكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهٗ ۚوَاِنْ يَّكُ صَادِقًا يُّصِبْكُمْ بَعْضُ الَّذِيْ يَعِدُكُمْ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهْدِيْ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ ٢٨

ID Translation Dan seorang laki-laki yang beriman di antara pengikut-pengikut Fir'aun yang menyembunyikan imannya berkata: "Apakah kamu akan membunuh seorang laki-laki karena dia menyatakan: "Tuhanku ialah Allah padahal dia telah datang kepadamu dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan dari Tuhanmu. Dan jika ia seorang pendusta maka dialah yang menanggung (dosa) dustanya itu; dan jika ia seorang yang benar niscaya sebagian (bencana) yang diancamkannya kepadamu akan menimpamu". Sesungguhnya Allah tidak menunjuki orang-orang yang melampaui batas lagi pendusta.

EN Translation At that, a believing man of Pharaoh’s family, who [until then] had concealed his faith, exclaimed: “Would you slay a man because he says, ‘God is my Sustainer’ - seeing, withal, that he has brought you all evidence of this truth from your Sustainer? Now if he be a liar, his lie will fall back on him; but if he is a man of truth, something [of the punishment] whereof he warns you is bound to befall you: for, verily, God would not grace with His guidance one who has wasted his own self by lying [about Him].

يٰقَوْمِ لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ظَاهِرِيْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِۖ فَمَنْ يَّنْصُرُنَا مِنْۢ بَأْسِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ جَاۤءَنَا ۗقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَآ اُرِيْكُمْ اِلَّا مَآ اَرٰى وَمَآ اَهْدِيْكُمْ اِلَّا سَبِيْلَ الرَّشَادِ ٢٩

ID Translation (Musa berkata): "Hai kaumku, untukmulah kerajaan pada hari ini dengan berkuasa di muka bumi. Siapakah yang akan menolong kita dari azab Allah jika azab itu menimpa kita!" Fir'aun berkata: "Aku tidak mengemukakan kepadamu, melainkan apa yang aku pandang baik; dan aku tiada menunjukkan kepadamu selain jalan yang benar".

EN Translation “O my people! Yours is the dominion today, [and] most eminent are you on earth: but who will rescue us from God’s punishment, once it befalls us?” Said Pharaoh: “I but want to make you see what I see myself; and I would never make you follow any path but that of rectitude!”

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْٓ اٰمَنَ يٰقَوْمِ اِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ الْاَحْزَابِۙ ٣٠

ID Translation Dan orang yang beriman itu berkata: "Hai kaumku, sesungguhnya aku khawatir kamu akan ditimpa (bencana) seperti peristiwa kehancuran golongan yang bersekutu.

EN Translation Thereupon exclaimed he who had attained to faith: “O my people! Verily, I fear for you the like of what one day befell those others who were leagued together [against God’s truth] –

مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوْحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوْدَ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۗوَمَا اللّٰهُ يُرِيْدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ ٣١

ID Translation (Yakni) seperti keadaan kaum Nuh, 'Aad, Tsamud dan orang-orang yang datang sesudah mereka. Dan Allah tidak menghendaki berbuat kezaliman terhadap hamba-hamba-Nya.

EN Translation the like of what happened to Noah’s people, and to [the tribes of] Ad and Thamud and those who came after them! And, withal, God does not will any wrong for His crea­tures.

وَيٰقَوْمِ اِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ التَّنَادِۙ ٣٢

ID Translation Hai kaumku, sesungguhnya aku khawatir terhadapmu akan siksaan hari panggil-memanggil.

EN Translation “And, O my people, I fear for you [the coming of] that Day of [Judgment - the Day when you will be] calling unto one another [in distress] –

يَوْمَ تُوَلُّوْنَ مُدْبِرِيْنَۚ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍۚ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ هَادٍ ٣٣

ID Translation (yaitu) hari (ketika) kamu (lari) berpaling ke belakang, tidak ada bagimu seorangpun yang menyelamatkan kamu dari (azab) Allah, dan siapa yang disesatkan Allah, niscaya tidak ada baginya seorangpun yang akan memberi petunjuk.

EN Translation the Day when you will [wish to] turn your backs and flee, having none to defend you against God: for he whom God lets go astray can never find any guide.

وَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ يُوْسُفُ مِنْ قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِيْ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَاۤءَكُمْ بِهٖ ۗحَتّٰىٓ اِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَنْ يَّبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ رَسُوْلًا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابٌۙ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah datang Yusuf kepadamu dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan, tetapi kamu senantiasa dalam keraguan tentang apa yang dibawanya kepadamu, hingga ketika dia meninggal, kamu berkata: "Allah tidak akan mengirim seorang (rasulpun) sesudahnya. Demikianlah Allah menyesatkan orang-orang yang melampaui batas dan ragu-ragu.

EN Translation “And [remember:] it was to you that Joseph came aforetime with all evidence of the truth; but you never ceased to throw doubt on all [the messages] that he brought you - so much so that when he died, you said, ‘Never will God send any apostle [even] after him!’ “In this way God lets go astray such as waste their own selves by throwing suspicion [on His revela­tions] –

ۨالَّذِيْنَ يُجَادِلُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطٰنٍ اَتٰىهُمْۗ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَعِنْدَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ ٣٥

ID Translation (Yaitu) orang-orang yang memperdebatkan ayat-ayat Allah tanpa alasan yang sampai kepada mereka. Amat besar kemurkaan (bagi mereka) di sisi Allah dan di sisi orang-orang yang beriman. Demikianlah Allah mengunci mati hati orang yang sombong dan sewenang-wenang.

EN Translation such as would call God’s messages in question without having any evidence therefor: [a sin] exceedingly loathsome in the sight of God and of those who have attained to faith. It is in this way that God sets a seal on every arrogant, self-exalting heart.”

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يٰهَامٰنُ ابْنِ لِيْ صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّيْٓ اَبْلُغُ الْاَسْبَابَۙ ٣٦

ID Translation Dan berkatalah Fir'aun: "Hai Haman, buatkanlah bagiku sebuah bangunan yang tinggi supaya aku sampai ke pintu-pintu,

EN Translation But Pharaoh said: “O Haman! Build me a lofty tower, that haply I may attain to the [right] means

اَسْبَابَ السَّمٰوٰتِ فَاَطَّلِعَ اِلٰٓى اِلٰهِ مُوْسٰى وَاِنِّيْ لَاَظُنُّهٗ كَاذِبًا ۗوَكَذٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوْۤءُ عَمَلِهٖ وَصُدَّ عَنِ السَّبِيْلِ ۗوَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ اِلَّا فِيْ تَبَابٍ ٣٧

ID Translation (yaitu) pintu-pintu langit, supaya aku dapat melihat Tuhan Musa dan sesungguhnya aku memandangnya seorang pendusta". Demikianlah dijadikan Fir'aun memandang baik perbuatan yang buruk itu, dan dia dihalangi dari jalan (yang benar); dan tipu daya Fir'aun itu tidak lain hanyalah membawa kerugian.

EN Translation the means of approach to the heavens - and that [thus] I may have a look at the god of Moses: for, behold, I am indeed certain that he is a liar!” And thus, goodly seemed unto Pharaoh the evil of his own doings, and so he was barred from the path [of truth]: and Pharaoh’s guile did not lead to aught but ruin.

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْٓ اٰمَنَ يٰقَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوْنِ اَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيْلَ الرَّشَادِۚ ٣٨

ID Translation Orang yang beriman itu berkata: "Hai kaumku, ikutilah aku, aku akan menunjukkan kepadamu jalan yang benar.

EN Translation Still, the man who had attained to faith went on: “O my people! Follow me: I shall guide you onto the path of rectitude!

يٰقَوْمِ اِنَّمَا هٰذِهِ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ ۖوَّاِنَّ الْاٰخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ الْقَرَارِ ٣٩

ID Translation Hai kaumku, sesungguhnya kehidupan dunia ini hanyalah kesenangan (sementara) dan sesungguhnya akhirat itulah negeri yang kekal.

EN Translation “O my people! This worldly life is but a brief enjoyment, whereas, behold, the life to come is the home abiding.

مَنْ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً فَلَا يُجْزٰىٓ اِلَّا مِثْلَهَاۚ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّنْ ذَكَرٍ اَوْ اُنْثٰى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ يَدْخُلُوْنَ الْجَنَّةَ يُرْزَقُوْنَ فِيْهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ٤٠

ID Translation Barangsiapa mengerjakan perbuatan jahat, maka dia tidak akan dibalasi melainkan sebanding dengan kejahatan itu. Dan barangsiapa mengerjakan amal yang saleh baik laki-laki maupun perempuan sedang ia dalam keadaan beriman, maka mereka akan masuk surga, mereka diberi rezeki di dalamnya tanpa hisab.

EN Translation [There,] anyone who has done a bad deed will be requited with no more than the like thereof, whereas anyone, be it man or woman, who has done righteous deeds and is a believer withal - all such will enter paradise, wherein they shall be blest with good beyond all reckoning!

۞ وَيٰقَوْمِ مَا لِيْٓ اَدْعُوْكُمْ اِلَى النَّجٰوةِ وَتَدْعُوْنَنِيْٓ اِلَى النَّارِۗ ٤١

ID Translation Hai kaumku, bagaimanakah kamu, aku menyeru kamu kepada keselamatan, tetapi kamu menyeru aku ke neraka?

EN Translation “And, O my people, how is it that I summon you to salvation, the while you summon me to the fire?

تَدْعُوْنَنِيْ لِاَكْفُرَ بِاللّٰهِ وَاُشْرِكَ بِهٖ مَا لَيْسَ لِيْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ وَّاَنَا۠ اَدْعُوْكُمْ اِلَى الْعَزِيْزِ الْغَفَّارِ ٤٢

ID Translation (Kenapa) kamu menyeruku supaya kafir kepada Allah dan mempersekutukan-Nya dengan apa yang tidak kuketahui padahal aku menyeru kamu (beriman) kepada Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Pengampun?

EN Translation - [for] you call upon me to deny [the one­ness of] God and to ascribe a share in His divinity to aught of which I cannot [possibly] have any knowl­edge the while I summon you to [a cognition of] the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!

لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّمَا تَدْعُوْنَنِيْٓ اِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهٗ دَعْوَةٌ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَنَّ مَرَدَّنَآ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَاَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَ هُمْ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ ٤٣

ID Translation Sudah pasti bahwa apa yang kamu seru supaya aku (beriman) kepadanya tidak dapat memperkenankan seruan apapun baik di dunia maupun di akhirat. Dan sesungguhnya kita kembali kepada Allah dan sesungguhnya orang-orang yang melampaui batas, mereka itulah penghuni neraka.

EN Translation “There is no doubt that what you summon me to is something that has no claim to being invoked either in this world or in the life to come - as [there is no doubt] that unto God is our return, and that they who have wasted their own selves shall find them­selves in the fire:

فَسَتَذْكُرُوْنَ مَآ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْۗ وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمْرِيْٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِيْرٌ ۢبِالْعِبَادِ ٤٤

ID Translation Kelak kamu akan ingat kepada apa yang kukatakan kepada kamu. Dan aku menyerahkan urusanku kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Melihat akan hamba-hamba-Nya".

EN Translation and at that time you will [have cause to] remember what I am telling you [now]. “But [as for me,] I commit myself unto God: for, verily, God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His servants.”

فَوَقٰىهُ اللّٰهُ سَيِّاٰتِ مَا مَكَرُوْا وَحَاقَ بِاٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوْۤءُ الْعَذَابِۚ ٤٥

ID Translation Maka Allah memeliharanya dari kejahatan tipu daya mereka, dan Fir'aun beserta kaumnya dikepung oleh azab yang amat buruk.

EN Translation And God preserved him from the evil of their scheming, whereas suffering vile was to encompass Pharaoh’s folk:

اَلنَّارُ يُعْرَضُوْنَ عَلَيْهَا غُدُوًّا وَّعَشِيًّا ۚوَيَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ ۗ اَدْخِلُوْٓا اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ اَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ ٤٦

ID Translation Kepada mereka dinampakkan neraka pada pagi dan petang, dan pada hari terjadinya Kiamat. (Dikatakan kepada malaikat): "Masukkanlah Fir'aun dan kaumnya ke dalam azab yang sangat keras".

EN Translation the fire [of the hereafter - that fire] which they had been made to contemplate [in vain], morning and evening: for on the Day when the Last Hour dawns [God will say], “Make Phar­aoh’s folk enter upon suffering most severe!”

وَاِذْ يَتَحَاۤجُّوْنَ فِى النَّارِ فَيَقُوْلُ الضُّعَفٰۤؤُ لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْٓا اِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ مُّغْنُوْنَ عَنَّا نَصِيْبًا مِّنَ النَّارِ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah), ketika mereka berbantah-bantah dalam neraka, maka orang-orang yang lemah berkata kepada orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri: "Sesungguhnya kami adalah pengikut-pengikutmu, maka dapatkah kamu menghindarkan dari kami sebahagian azab api neraka?"

EN Translation AND LO! They [who in life were wont to deny the truth] will contend with one another in the fire [of the hereafter]; and then the weak will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance, “Behold, we were but your followers: can you, then, relieve us of some [of our] share of this fire?”

قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْٓا اِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيْهَآ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ ٤٨

ID Translation Orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri menjawab: "Sesungguhnya kita semua sama-sama dalam neraka karena sesungguhnya Allah telah menetapkan keputusan antara hamba-hamba-(Nya)".

EN Translation [to which] they who had [once] been arrogant will reply, “Behold, we are all in it [together]! Verily, God has judged between His creatures!”

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ فِى النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوْا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ ٤٩

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang berada dalam neraka berkata kepada penjaga-penjaga neraka Jahannam: "Mohonkanlah kepada Tuhanmu supaya Dia meringankan azab dari kami barang sehari".

EN Translation And they who are in the fire will say to the keepers of hell, “Pray unto your Sustainer that He lighten, [though it be] for one day [only], this suffering of ours!”

قَالُوْٓا اَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيْكُمْ رُسُلُكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ ۗقَالُوْا بَلٰىۗ قَالُوْا فَادْعُوْا ۚوَمَا دُعٰۤؤُا الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اِلَّا فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ ٥٠

ID Translation Penjaga Jahannam berkata: "Dan apakah belum datang kepada kamu rasul-rasulmu dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan?" Mereka menjawab: "Benar, sudah datang". Penjaga-penjaga Jahannam berkata: "Berdoalah kamu". Dan doa orang-orang kafir itu hanyalah sia-sia belaka.

EN Translation [But the keepers of hell] will ask, “Is it not [true] that your apostles came unto you with all evidence of the truth?” Those [in the fire] will reply, “Yea, indeed.” [And the keepers of hell] will say, “Pray, then!” - for the prayer of those who deny the truth cannot lead to aught but delusion.

اِنَّا لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الْاَشْهَادُۙ ٥١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami menolong rasul-rasul Kami dan orang-orang yang beriman dalam kehidupan dunia dan pada hari berdirinya saksi-saksi (hari kiamat),

EN Translation BEHOLD, We shall indeed succour Our apostles and those who have attained to faith, [both] in this world’s life and on the Day when all the witnesses shall stand up

يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوْۤءُ الدَّارِ ٥٢

ID Translation (yaitu) hari yang tidak berguna bagi orang-orang zalim permintaan maafnya dan bagi merekalah laknat dan bagi merekalah tempat tinggal yang buruk.

EN Translation the Day when their excuses will be of no avail to the evildoers, seeing that their lot will be rejection from all that is good, and a woeful hereafter.

وَلَقَدْاٰتَيْنَا مُوْسٰى الْهُدٰى وَاَوْرَثْنَا بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ الْكِتٰبَۙ ٥٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami berikan petunjuk kepada Musa; dan Kami wariskan Taurat kepada Bani Israil,

EN Translation And, indeed, We bestowed aforetime [Our] guidance on Moses, and [thus] made the children of Israel heirs to the divine writ [revealed to him]

هُدًى وَّذِكْرٰى لِاُولِى الْاَلْبَابِ ٥٤

ID Translation untuk menjadi petunjuk dan peringatan bagi orang-orang yang berfikir.

EN Translation as a [means of] guidance and a reminder for those who were endowed with insight:

فَاصْبِرْ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْاِبْكَارِ ٥٥

ID Translation Maka bersabarlah kamu, karena sesungguhnya janji Allah itu benar, dan mohonlah ampunan untuk dosamu dan bertasbihlah seraya memuji Tuhanmu pada waktu petang dan pagi.

EN Translation hence, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God’s promise always comes true - and ask forgiveness for thy sins, and extol thy Sustainer’s glory and praise by night and by day.

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُجَادِلُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطٰنٍ اَتٰىهُمْ ۙاِنْ فِيْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ اِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَّا هُمْ بِبَالِغِيْهِۚ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ ٥٦

ID Translation Sesungguhhnya orang-orang yang memperdebatkan tentang ayat-ayat Allah tanpa alasan yang sampai kepada mereka tidak ada dalam dada mereka melainkan hanyalah (keinginan akan) kebesaran yang mereka sekali-kali tiada akan mencapainya, maka mintalah perlindungan kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Melihat.

EN Translation Behold, as for those who call God’s messages in question without having any evidence therefore in their hearts is nothing but overweening self-con­ceit, which they will never be able to satisfy: seek thou, then, refuge with God - for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-seeing!

لَخَلْقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ اَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٥٧

ID Translation Sesungguhnya penciptaan langit dan bumi lebih besar daripada penciptaan manusia akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui.

EN Translation Greater indeed than the creation of man is the creation of the heavens and the earth: yet most men do not understand [what this implies].

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُ ەۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَلَا الْمُسِيْۤئُ ۗقَلِيْلًا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٥٨

ID Translation Dan tidaklah sama orang yang buta dengan orang yang melihat, dan tidaklah (pula sama) orang-orang yang beriman serta mengerjakan amal saleh dengan orang-orang yang durhaka. Sedikit sekali kamu mengambil pelajaran.

EN Translation But [then,] the blind and the seeing are not equal; and neither [can] they who have attained to faith and do good works and the doers of evil [be deemed equal]. How seldom do you keep this in mind!

اِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَاٰتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيْهَا ۖوَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٥٩

ID Translation Sesungguhnya hari kiamat pasti akan datang, tidak ada keraguan tentangnya, akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tiada beriman.

EN Translation Verily, the Last Hour is sure to come: of this there is no doubt; yet most men will not believe it.

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُوْنِيْٓ اَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۗاِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِيْ سَيَدْخُلُوْنَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِيْنَࣖ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan Tuhanmu berfirman: "Berdoalah kepada-Ku, niscaya akan Kuperkenankan bagimu. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri dari menyembah-Ku akan masuk neraka Jahannam dalam keadaan hina dina".

EN Translation But your Sustainer says: “Call unto Me, [and] I shall respond to you! Verily, they who are too proud to worship Me will enter hell, abased!”

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوْا فِيْهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَذُوْ فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ ٦١

ID Translation Allah-lah yang menjadikan malam untuk kamu supaya kamu beristirahat padanya; dan menjadikan siang terang benderang. Sesungguhnya Allah benar-benar mempunyal karunia yang dilimpahkan atas manusia, akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak bersyukur.

EN Translation IT IS GOD who has made the night for you, so that you might rest therein, and the day, to make [you] see. Behold, God is indeed limitless in His bounty unto man - but most men are ungrateful.

ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍۘ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۖفَاَنّٰى تُؤْفَكُوْنَ ٦٢

ID Translation Yang demikian itu adalah Allah, Tuhanmu, Pencipta segala sesuatu, tiada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia; maka bagaimanakah kamu dapat dipalingkan?

EN Translation Such is God, your Sustainer, the Creator of all that exists: there is no deity save Him. How perverted, then, are your minds!

كَذٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذِيْنَ كَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ يَجْحَدُوْنَ ٦٣

ID Translation Seperti demikianlah dipalingkan orang-orang yang selalu mengingkari ayat-ayat Allah.

EN Translation [For] thus it is: perverted are the minds of those who knowingly reject God’s messages.

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَّالسَّمَاۤءَ بِنَاۤءً وَّصَوَّرَكُمْ فَاَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ ۗذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۚ فَتَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٦٤

ID Translation Allah-lah yang menjadikan bumi bagi kamu tempat menetap dan langit sebagai atap, dan membentuk kamu lalu membaguskan rupamu serta memberi kamu rezeki dengan sebahagian yang baik-baik. Yang demikian itu adalah Allah Tuhanmu, Maha Agung Allah, Tuhan semesta alam.

EN Translation It is God who has made the earth a resting- place for you and the sky a canopy, and has formed you - and formed you so well and provided for you sustenance out of the good things of life. Such is God, your Sustainer: hallowed, then, is God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!

هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَادْعُوْهُ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ ۗ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٦٥

ID Translation Dialah Yang hidup kekal, tiada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia; maka sembahlah Dia dengan memurnikan ibadat kepada-Nya. Segala puji bagi Allah Tuhan semesta alam.

EN Translation He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity save Him: call, then, unto Him [alone], sincere in your faith in Him. All praise is due to God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!

۞ قُلْ اِنِّيْ نُهِيْتُ اَنْ اَعْبُدَ الَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ لَمَّا جَاۤءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنٰتُ مِنْ رَّبِّيْ وَاُمِرْتُ اَنْ اُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٦٦

ID Translation Katakanlah (ya Muhammad): "Sesungguhnya aku dilarang menyembah sembahan yang kamu sembah selain Allah setelah datang kepadaku keterangan-keterangan dari Tuhanku; dan aku diperintahkan supaya tunduk patuh kepada Tuhan semesta alam.

EN Translation Say: “Since all evidence of the truth has come to me from my Sustainer, I am forbidden to worship [any of] those beings whom you invoke instead of God; and I am bidden to surrender myself to the Sustainer of all the worlds.”

هُوَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوْٓا اَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُوْنُوْا شُيُوْخًا ۚوَمِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُّتَوَفّٰى مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوْٓا اَجَلًا مُّسَمًّى وَّلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٦٧

ID Translation Dialah yang menciptakan kamu dari tanah kemudian dari setetes mani, sesudah itu dari segumpal darah, kemudian dilahirkannya kamu sebagai seorang anak, kemudian (kamu dibiarkan hidup) supaya kamu sampai kepada masa (dewasa), kemudian (dibiarkan kamu hidup lagi) sampai tua, di antara kamu ada yang diwafatkan sebelum itu. (Kami perbuat demikian) supaya kamu sampai kepada ajal yang ditentukan dan supaya kamu memahami(nya).

EN Translation It is He who creates you out of dust, and then out of a drop of sperm, and then out of a germ-cell; and then He brings you forth as children; and then [He ordains] that you reach maturity, and then, that you grow old - though some of you [He causes to] die earlier -: and [all this He ordains] so that you might reach a term set [by Him], and that you might [learn to] use your reason.

هُوَ الَّذِيْ يُحْيٖ وَيُمِيْتُۚ فَاِذَا قَضٰىٓ اَمْرًا فَاِنَّمَا يَقُوْلُ لَهٗ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ ٦٨

ID Translation Dialah yang menghidupkan dan mematikan, maka apabila Dia menetapkan sesuatu urusan, Dia hanya bekata kepadanya: "Jadilah", maka jadilah ia.

EN Translation It is He who grants life and deals death; and when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, “Be” - and it is.

اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ يُجَادِلُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۗاَنّٰى يُصْرَفُوْنَۚ ٦٩

ID Translation Apakah kamu tidak melihat kepada orang-orang yang membantah ayat-ayat Allah? Bagaimanakah mereka dapat dipalingkan?

EN Translation ART THOU NOT aware of how far they who call God’s messages in question have lost sight of the truth?

اَلَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِالْكِتٰبِ وَبِمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا بِهٖ رُسُلَنَا ۗفَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٧٠

ID Translation (Yaitu) orang-orang yang mendustakan Al Kitab (Al Quran) dan wahyu yang dibawa oleh rasul-rasul Kami yang telah Kami utus. Kelak mereka akan mengetahui,

EN Translation they who give the lie to this divine writ and [thus] to all [the messages] with which We sent forth Our apostles [of old]? But in time they will come to know [how blind they have been: they will know it on Judgment Day],

اِذِ الْاَغْلٰلُ فِيْٓ اَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَالسَّلٰسِلُۗ يُسْحَبُوْنَۙ ٧١

ID Translation ketika belenggu dan rantai dipasang di leher mereka, seraya mereka diseret,

EN Translation when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks,

فِى الْحَمِيْمِ ەۙ ثُمَّ فِى النَّارِ يُسْجَرُوْنَۚ ٧٢

ID Translation ke dalam air yang sangat panas, kemudian mereka dibakar dalam api,

EN Translation and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell].

ثُمَّ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ اَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُوْنَۙ ٧٣

ID Translation kemudian dikatakan kepada mereka: "Manakah berhala-berhala yang selalu kamu persekutukan,

EN Translation And then they will be asked: “Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity

مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗقَالُوْا ضَلُّوْا عَنَّا بَلْ لَّمْ نَكُنْ نَّدْعُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ شَيْـًٔاۚ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٧٤

ID Translation (yang kamu sembah) selain Allah?" Mereka menjawab: "Mereka telah hilang lenyap dari kami, bahkan kami dahulu tiada pernah menyembah sesuatu". Seperti demikianlah Allah menyesatkan orang-orang kafir.

EN Translation side by side with God?” They will answer: “They have forsaken us - or, rather, what we were wont to invoke aforetime did not exist at all!” And they will be told:] “It is thus that God lets the deniers of the truth go astray:

ذٰلِكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَمْرَحُوْنَ ٧٥

ID Translation Yang demikian itu disebabkan karena kamu bersuka ria di muka bumi dengan tidak benar dan karena kamu selalu bersuka ria (dalam kemaksiatan).

EN Translation this is an out­come of your having arrogantly exulted on earth without any [concern for what is] right, and of your having been so full of self-conceit!

اُدْخُلُوْٓا اَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا ۚفَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِيْنَ ٧٦

ID Translation (Dikatakan kepada mereka): "Masuklah kamu ke pintu-pintu neraka Jahannam, sedang kamu kekal di dalamnya. Maka itulah seburuk-buruk tempat bagi orang-orang yang sombong".

EN Translation Enter [now] the gates of hell, therein to abide: and how vile an abode for all who are given to false pride!”

فَاصْبِرْ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ ۚفَاِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ نَعِدُهُمْ اَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَاِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُوْنَ ٧٧

ID Translation Maka bersabarlah kamu, sesungguhnya janji Allah adalah benar; maka meskipun Kami perlihatkan kepadamu sebagian siksa yang Kami ancamkan kepada mereka ataupun Kami wafatkan kamu (sebelum ajal menimpa mereka), namun kepada Kami sajalah mereka dikembalikan.

EN Translation HENCE, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God’s promise always comes true. And whether We show thee [in this world] something of what We hold in store for those [deniers of the truth], or whether We cause thee to die [ere that retribution takes place - know that, in the end], it is unto Us that they will be brought back.

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُمْ مَّنْ قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ ۗوَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُوْلٍ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَ بِاٰيَةٍ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۚفَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ قُضِيَ بِالْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ ٧٨

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami utus beberapa orang rasul sebelum kamu, di antara mereka ada yang Kami ceritakan kepadamu dan di antara mereka ada (pula) yang tidak Kami ceritakan kepadamu. Tidak dapat bagi seorang rasul membawa suatu mukjizat, melainkan dengan seizin Allah; maka apabila telah datang perintah Allah, diputuskan (semua perkara) dengan adil. Dan ketika itu rugilah orang-orang yang berpegang kepada yang batil.

EN Translation And, indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God’s leave. Yet when God’s will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand].

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَنْعَامَ لِتَرْكَبُوْا مِنْهَا وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُوْنَۖ ٧٩

ID Translation Allahlah yang menjadikan binatang ternak untuk kamu, sebagiannya untuk kamu kendarai dan sebagiannya untuk kamu makan.

EN Translation It is God who [at all times works wonders for you: thus, He] provides for you [all manner of] livestock, so that on some of them you may ride, and from some derive your food,

وَلَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوْا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِيْ صُدُوْرِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُوْنَۗ ٨٠

ID Translation Dan (ada lagi) manfaat-manfaat yang lain pada binatang ternak itu untuk kamu dan supaya kamu mencapai suatu keperluan yang tersimpan dalam hati dengan mengendarainya. Dan kamu dapat diangkut dengan mengendarai binatang-binatang itu dan dengan mengendarai bahtera.

EN Translation and find [yet other] benefits in them; and that through them you may attain to the fulfillment of [many] a heartfelt need: for on them, as on ships, you are borne [through life].

وَيُرِيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِهٖۖ فَاَيَّ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ تُنْكِرُوْنَ ٨١

ID Translation Dan Dia memperlihatkan kepada kamu tanda-tanda (kekuasaan-Nya); maka tanda-tanda (kekuasaan) Allah yang manakah yang kamu ingkari?

EN Translation And [thus] He displays His wonders before you: which, then, of God’s wonders can you still deny?

اَفَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۗ كَانُوْٓا اَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَاَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَّاٰثَارًا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ٨٢

ID Translation Maka apakah mereka tiada mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi lalu memperhatikan betapa kesudahan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka. Adalah orang-orang yang sebelum mereka itu lebih hebat kekuatannya dan (lebih banyak) bekas-bekas mereka di muka bumi, maka apa yang mereka usahakan itu tidak dapat menolong mereka.

EN Translation HAVE THEY, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time? More numerous were they, and greater in power than they are, and in the impact which they left on earth: but all that they ever achieved was of no avail to them –

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَرِحُوْا بِمَا عِنْدَهُمْ مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ٨٣

ID Translation Maka tatkala datang kepada mereka rasul-rasul (yang diutus kepada) mereka dengan membawa ketarangan-keterangan, mereka merasa senang dengan pengetahuan yang ada pada mereka dan mereka dikepung oleh azab Allah yang selalu mereka perolok-olokkan itu.

EN Translation for when their apostles came to them with all evidence of the truth, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they [already] possessed: and [so, in the end,] they were overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride.

فَلَمَّا رَاَوْا بَأْسَنَاۗ قَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَحْدَهٗ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهٖ مُشْرِكِيْنَ ٨٤

ID Translation Maka tatkala mereka melihat azab Kami, mereka berkata: "Kami beriman hanya kepada Allah saja, dan kami kafir kepada sembahan-sembahan yang telah kami persekutukan dengan Allah".

EN Translation And then, when they [clearly] beheld Our punishment, they said: “We have come to believe in the One God, and we have renounced all belief in that to which we were wont to ascribe a share in His divinity!”

فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنْفَعُهُمْ اِيْمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَاَوْا بَأْسَنَا ۗسُنَّتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِيْ قَدْ خَلَتْ فِيْ عِبَادِهِۚ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ٨٥

ID Translation Maka iman mereka tiada berguna bagi mereka tatkala mereka telah melihat siksa Kami. Itulah sunnah Allah yang telah berlaku terhadap hamba-hamba-Nya. Dan di waktu itu binasalah orang-orang kafir.

EN Translation But their attaining to faith after they had beheld Our punishment could not possibly benefit them such being the way of God that has always obtained for His creatures -: and so, then and there, lost were they who had denied the truth.

حٰمۤ ۚ ١

ID Translation Haa Miim.

EN Translation Ha. Mim.

تَنْزِيْلٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ ۚ ٢

ID Translation Diturunkan dari Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dis­penser of Grace:

كِتٰبٌ فُصِّلَتْ اٰيٰتُهٗ قُرْاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٣

ID Translation Kitab yang dijelaskan ayat-ayatnya, yakni bacaan dalam bahasa Arab, untuk kaum yang mengetahui,

EN Translation a divine writ, the messages whereof have been clearly spelled out as a discourse in the Arabic tongue for people of [innate] knowl­edge,

بَشِيْرًا وَّنَذِيْرًاۚ فَاَعْرَضَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ ٤

ID Translation yang membawa berita gembira dan yang membawa peringatan, tetapi kebanyakan mereka berpaling, tidak mau mendengarkan.

EN Translation to be a herald of glad tidings as well as a warning. And yet, [whenever this divine writ is offered to men,] most of them turn away, so that they cannot hear [its message];

وَقَالُوْا قُلُوْبُنَا فِيْٓ اَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُوْنَآ اِلَيْهِ وَفِيْٓ اٰذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَّمِنْۢ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ اِنَّنَا عٰمِلُوْنَ ٥

ID Translation Mereka berkata: "Hati kami berada dalam tutupan (yang menutupi) apa yang kamu seru kami kepadanya dan telinga kami ada sumbatan dan antara kami dan kamu ada dinding, maka bekerjalah kamu; sesungguhnya kami bekerja (pula)".

EN Translation and so they say, [as it were:] “Our hearts are veiled from whatever thou callest us to, [O Muhammad,] and in our ears is deafness, and between us and thee is a barrier. Do, then, [whatever thou wilt, whereas,] behold, we shall do [as we have always done]!”

قُلْ اِنَّمَآ اَنَا۟ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوْحٰىٓ اِلَيَّ اَنَّمَآ اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَاسْتَقِيْمُوْٓا اِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ ۗوَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِيْنَۙ ٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Bahwasanya aku hanyalah seorang manusia seperti kamu, diwahyukan kepadaku bahwasanya Tuhan kamu adalah Tuhan yang Maha Esa, maka tetaplah pada jalan yang lurus menuju kepada-Nya dan mohonlah ampun kepada-Nya. Dan kecelakaan besarlah bagi orang-orang yang mempersekutukan-Nya,

EN Translation Say thou, [O Prophet:] “I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!” And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him,

الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَهُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ٧

ID Translation (yaitu) orang-orang yang tidak menunaikan zakat dan mereka kafir akan adanya (kehidupan) akhirat.

EN Translation [and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come!

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ ٨

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman dan beramal saleh, mereka mendapat pahala yang tiada putus-putusnya".

EN Translation [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending!

۞ قُلْ اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُوْنَ بِالَّذِيْ خَلَقَ الْاَرْضَ فِيْ يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُوْنَ لَهٗٓ اَنْدَادًا ۗذٰلِكَ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۚ ٩

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya patutkah kamu kafir kepada Yang menciptakan bumi dalam dua masa dan kamu adakan sekutu-sekutu bagi-Nya? (Yang bersifat) demikian itu adalah Rabb semesta alam".

EN Translation SAY: “Would you indeed deny Him who has created the earth in two aeons? And do you claim that there is any power that could rival Him, the Sustainer of all the worlds?”

وَجَعَلَ فِيْهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَبٰرَكَ فِيْهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيْهَآ اَقْوَاتَهَا فِيْٓ اَرْبَعَةِ اَيَّامٍۗ سَوَاۤءً لِّلسَّاۤىِٕلِيْنَ ١٠

ID Translation Dan dia menciptakan di bumi itu gunung-gunung yang kokoh di atasnya. Dia memberkahinya dan Dia menentukan padanya kadar makanan-makanan (penghuni)nya dalam empat masa. (Penjelasan itu sebagai jawaban) bagi orang-orang yang bertanya.

EN Translation For He [it is who, after creating the earth,] placed firm mountains on it, [towering] above its surface, and bestowed [so many] blessings on it, and equitably apportioned its means of subsistence to all who would seek it: [and all this He created] in four aeons.

ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰىٓ اِلَى السَّمَاۤءِ وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْاَرْضِ ائْتِيَا طَوْعًا اَوْ كَرْهًاۗ قَالَتَآ اَتَيْنَا طَاۤىِٕعِيْنَ ١١

ID Translation Kemudian Dia menuju kepada penciptaan langit dan langit itu masih merupakan asap, lalu Dia berkata kepadanya dan kepada bumi: "Datanglah kamu keduanya menurut perintah-Ku dengan suka hati atau terpaksa". Keduanya menjawab: "Kami datang dengan suka hati".

EN Translation And He [it is who] applied His design to the skies, which were [yet but] smoke; and He [it is who] said to them and to the earth, “Come [into being], both of you, willingly or unwillingly!” - to which both responded, “We do come in obedience.”

فَقَضٰىهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ فِيْ يَوْمَيْنِ وَاَوْحٰى فِيْ كُلِّ سَمَاۤءٍ اَمْرَهَا ۗوَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاۤءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيْحَۖ وَحِفْظًا ۗذٰلِكَ تَقْدِيْرُ الْعَزِيْزِ الْعَلِيْمِ ١٢

ID Translation Maka Dia menjadikannya tujuh langit dalam dua masa. Dia mewahyukan pada tiap-tiap langit urusannya. Dan Kami hiasi langit yang dekat dengan bintang-bintang yang cemerlang dan Kami memeliharanya dengan sebaik-baiknya. Demikianlah ketentuan Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation And He [it is who] decreed that they become seven heavens in two aeons, and imparted unto each heaven its function. And We adorned the skies nearest to the earth with lights, and made them secure: such is the ordaining of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

فَاِنْ اَعْرَضُوْا فَقُلْ اَنْذَرْتُكُمْ صٰعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صٰعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَّثَمُوْدَ ۗ ١٣

ID Translation Jika mereka berpaling maka katakanlah: "Aku telah memperingatkan kamu dengan petir, seperti petir yang menimpa kaum 'Aad dan Tsamud".

EN Translation BUT IF they turn away, say: “I warn you of [the coming of] a thunderbolt of punishment like the thunderbolt [that fell upon the tribes] of Ad and Thamud!”

اِذْ جَاۤءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْٓا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ۗقَالُوْا لَوْ شَاۤءَ رَبُّنَا لَاَنْزَلَ مَلٰۤىِٕكَةً فَاِنَّا بِمَآ اُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوْنَ ١٤

ID Translation Ketika para rasul datang kepada mereka dari depan dan belakang mereka (dengan menyerukan): "Janganlah kamu menyembah selain Allah". Mereka menjawab: "Kalau Tuhan kami menghendaki tentu Dia akan menurunkan malaikat-malaikat-Nya, maka sesungguhnya kami kafir kepada wahyu yang kamu diutus membawanya".

EN Translation Lo! There came unto them [God’s] apostles, speaking of what lay open before them and what was [still] beyond their ken, [and calling unto them,] “Worship none but God!” They answered: “If our Sustainer had willed [us to believe in what you say], He would have sent down angels [as His message-bearers]. As it is, behold, we deny that there is any truth in what you [claim to] have been sent with!”

فَاَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوْا مَنْ اَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۗ اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ اَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۗ وَكَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُوْنَ ١٥

ID Translation Adapun kaum 'Aad maka mereka menyombongkan diri di muka bumi tanpa alasan yang benar dan berkata: "Siapakah yang lebih besar kekuatannya dari kami?" Dan apakah mereka itu tidak memperhatikan bahwa Allah Yang menciptakan mereka adalah lebih besar kekuatan-Nya daripada mereka? Dan adalah mereka mengingkari tanda-tanda (kekuatan) Kami.

EN Translation Now as for [the tribe of] Ad, they walked arrogantly on earth, [offending] against all right, and saying, “Who could have a power greater than ours?” Why - were they, then, not aware that God, who created them, had a power greater than theirs? But they went on rejecting Our messages;

فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيْحًا صَرْصَرًا فِيْٓ اَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيْقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۗوَلَعَذَابُ الْاٰخِرَةِ اَخْزٰى وَهُمْ لَا يُنْصَرُوْنَ ١٦

ID Translation Maka Kami meniupkan angin yang amat gemuruh kepada mereka dalam beberapa hari yang sial, karena Kami hendak merasakan kepada mereka itu siksaan yang menghinakan dalam kehidupan dunia. Dan Sesungguhnya siksa akhirat lebih menghinakan sedang mereka tidak diberi pertolongan.

EN Translation and thereupon We let loose upon them a storm wind raging through days of misfortune, so as to give them, in the life of this world, a foretaste of suffering through humiliation: but [their] suffering in the life to come will be far more humiliating, and they will have none to succour them.

وَاَمَّا ثَمُوْدُ فَهَدَيْنٰهُمْ فَاسْتَحَبُّوا الْعَمٰى عَلَى الْهُدٰى فَاَخَذَتْهُمْ صٰعِقَةُ الْعَذَابِ الْهُوْنِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ۚ ١٧

ID Translation Dan adapun kaum Tsamud, maka mereka telah Kami beri petunjuk tetapi mereka lebih menyukai buta (kesesatan) daripada petunjuk, maka mereka disambar petir azab yang menghinakan disebabkan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation And as for [the tribe of] Thamud, We offered them guidance, but they chose blindness in pre­ference to guidance: and so the thunderbolt of shame­ful suffering fell upon them as an outcome of all [the evil] that they had wrought;

وَنَجَّيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَكَانُوْا يَتَّقُوْنَ ١٨

ID Translation Dan Kami selamatkan orang-orang yang beriman dan mereka adalah orang-orang yang bertakwa.

EN Translation and We saved [only] those who had attained to faith and were conscious of Us.

وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ اَعْدَاۤءُ اللّٰهِ اِلَى النَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوْزَعُوْنَ ١٩

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) hari (ketika) musuh-musuh Allah di giring ke dalam neraka, lalu mereka dikumpulkan semuanya.

EN Translation Hence, [warn all men of] the Day when the enemies of God shall be gathered together before the fire, and then shall be driven onward,

حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا مَا جَاۤءُوْهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَاَبْصَارُهُمْ وَجُلُوْدُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٠

ID Translation Sehingga apabila mereka sampai ke neraka, pendengaran, penglihatan dan kulit mereka menjadi saksi terhadap mereka tentang apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation till, when they come close to it, their hearing and their sight and their [very] skins will bear witness against them, speaking of what they were doing [on earth].

وَقَالُوْا لِجُلُوْدِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدْتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا ۗقَالُوْٓا اَنْطَقَنَا اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۙ وَّاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٢١

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata kepada kulit mereka: "Mengapa kamu menjadi saksi terhadap kami?" Kulit mereka menjawab: "Allah yang menjadikan segala sesuatu pandai berkata telah menjadikan kami pandai (pula) berkata, dan Dialah yang menciptakan kamu pada kali pertama dan hanya kepada-Nya lah kamu dikembalikan".

EN Translation And they will ask their skins, “Why did you bear witness against us?” - [and] these will reply: “God, who gives speech to all things, has given speech to us [as well]: for He [it is who] has created you in the first instance - and unto Him you are [now] brought back.

وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُوْنَ اَنْ يَّشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَآ اَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُوْدُكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَثِيْرًا مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٢

ID Translation Kamu sekali-sekali tidak dapat bersembunyi dari kesaksian pendengaran, penglihatan dan kulitmu kepadamu bahkan kamu mengira bahwa Allah tidak mengetahui kebanyakan dari apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation And you did not try to hide [your sins] lest your hearing or your sight or your skins bear witness against you: nay, but you thought that God did not know much of what you were doing –

وَذٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِيْ ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ اَرْدٰىكُمْ فَاَصْبَحْتُمْ مِّنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan yang demikian itu adalah prasangkamu yang telah kamu sangka kepada Tuhanmu, Dia telah membinasakan kamu, maka jadilah kamu termasuk orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation and that very thought which you thought about your Sustainer has brought you to perdition, and so now you find yourselves among the lost!”

فَاِنْ يَّصْبِرُوْا فَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ ۚوَاِنْ يَّسْتَعْتِبُوْا فَمَا هُمْ مِّنَ الْمُعْتَبِيْنَ ٢٤

ID Translation Jika mereka bersabar (menderita azab) maka nerakalah tempat diam mereka dan jika mereka mengemukakan alasan-alasan, maka tidaklah mereka termasuk orang-orang yang diterima alasannya.

EN Translation And then, [even] if they endure [their lot] in patience, the fire will still be their abode; and if they pray to be allowed to make amends, they will not be allowed to do so:

۞ وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاۤءَ فَزَيَّنُوْا لَهُمْ مَّا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِيْٓ اُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِۚ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا خٰسِرِيْنَ ٢٥

ID Translation Dan Kami tetapkan bagi mereka teman-teman yang menjadikan mereka memandang bagus apa yang ada di hadapan dan di belakang mereka dan tetaplah atas mereka keputusan azab pada umat-umat yang terdahulu sebelum mereka dari jinn dan manusia, sesungguhnya mereka adalah orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation for [when they became obli­vious of Us,] We assigned to them [their own evil impulses as their] other selves, and these made appear goodly to them whatever lay open before them and whatever was beyond their ken. And so, the sentence [of doom] will have fallen due upon them together with the [other sinful] com­munities of invisible beings and humans that passed away before their time: verily, they [all] will indeed be lost!

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَا تَسْمَعُوْا لِهٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ وَالْغَوْا فِيْهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُوْنَ ٢٦

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang kafir berkata: "Janganlah kamu mendengar dengan sungguh-sungguh akan Al Quran ini dan buatlah hiruk-pikuk terhadapnya, supaya kamu dapat mengalahkan mereka".

EN Translation NOW THOSE who are bent on denying the truth say [unto one another]: “Do not listen to this Qur’an, but rather talk frivolously about it, so that you might gain the upper hand!”

فَلَنُذِيْقَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًاۙ وَّلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٧

ID Translation Maka sesungguhnya Kami akan merasakan azab yang keras kepada orang-orang kafir dan Kami akan memberi balasan kepada mereka dengan seburuk-buruk pembalasan bagi apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation But We shall most certainly give those who are [thus] bent on denying the truth a taste of suffering severe, and We shall most certainly requite them according to the worst of their deeds!

ذٰلِكَ جَزَاۤءُ اَعْدَاۤءِ اللّٰهِ النَّارُ لَهُمْ فِيْهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ ۗجَزَاۤءً ۢبِمَا كَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُوْنَ ٢٨

ID Translation Demikianlah balasan terhadap musuh-musuh Allah, (yaitu) neraka; mereka mendapat tempat tinggal yang kekal di dalamnya sebagai balasan atas keingkaran mereka terhadap ayat-ayat Kami.

EN Translation That requital of God’s enemies will be the fire [of the hereafter]: in it will they have an abode of immeasurable duration as an outcome of their having knowingly rejected Our messages.

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا رَبَّنَآ اَرِنَا الَّذَيْنِ اَضَلّٰنَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ اَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُوْنَا مِنَ الْاَسْفَلِيْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir berkata: "Ya Rabb kami perlihatkanlah kepada kami dua jenis orang yang telah menyesatkan kami (yaitu) sebagian dari jinn dan manusia agar kami letakkan keduanya di bawah telapak kaki kami supaya kedua jenis itu menjadi orang-orang yang hina".

EN Translation And they who [in their life on earth] were bent on denying the truth will [thereupon] exclaim: “O our Sustainer! Show us those of the invisible beings and humans that have led us astray: we shall trample them underfoot, so that they shall be the lowest of all!”

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوْا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ اَلَّا تَخَافُوْا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوْا وَاَبْشِرُوْا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِيْ كُنْتُمْ تُوْعَدُوْنَ ٣٠

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang mengatakan: "Tuhan kami ialah Allah" kemudian mereka meneguhkan pendirian mereka, maka malaikat akan turun kepada mereka dengan mengatakan: "Janganlah kamu takut dan janganlah merasa sedih; dan gembirakanlah mereka dengan jannah yang telah dijanjikan Allah kepadamu".

EN Translation [But,] behold, as for those who say, “Our Sustainer is God,” and then steadfastly pursue the right way - upon them do angels often descend, [say­ing:] “Fear not and grieve not, but receive the glad tiding of that paradise which has been promised to you!

نَحْنُ اَوْلِيَاۤؤُكُمْ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِى الْاٰخِرَةِ ۚوَلَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيْٓ اَنْفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَا تَدَّعُوْنَ ۗ ٣١

ID Translation Kamilah pelindung-pelindungmu dalam kehidupan dunia dan akhirat; di dalamnya kamu memperoleh apa yang kamu inginkan dan memperoleh (pula) di dalamnya apa yang kamu minta.

EN Translation We are close unto you in the life of this world and [will be so] in the life to come; and in that [life to come] you shall have all that your souls may desire, and in it you shall have all that you ever prayed for,

نُزُلًا مِّنْ غَفُوْرٍ رَّحِيْمٍ ٣٢

ID Translation Sebagai hidangan (bagimu) dari Tuhan Yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation as a ready welcome from Him who is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!”

وَمَنْ اَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّنْ دَعَآ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَّقَالَ اِنَّنِيْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ ٣٣

ID Translation Siapakah yang lebih baik perkataannya daripada orang yang menyeru kepada Allah, mengerjakan amal yang saleh, dan berkata: "Sesungguhnya aku termasuk orang-orang yang menyerah diri?"

EN Translation And who could be better of speech than he who calls [his fellow-men] unto God, and does what is just and right, and says, “Verily, I am of those who have surrendered themselves to God”?

وَلَا تَسْتَوِى الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۗاِدْفَعْ بِالَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُ فَاِذَا الَّذِيْ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهٗ عَدَاوَةٌ كَاَنَّهٗ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيْمٌ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan tidaklah sama kebaikan dan kejahatan. Tolaklah (kejahatan itu) dengan cara yang lebih baik, maka tiba-tiba orang yang antaramu dan antara dia ada permusuhan seolah-olah telah menjadi teman yang sangat setia.

EN Translation But [since] good and evil cannot be equal, repel thou [evil] with something that is better and lo! he between whom and thyself was enmity [may then become] as though he had [always] been close [unto thee], a true friend!

وَمَا يُلَقّٰىهَآ اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ صَبَرُوْاۚ وَمَا يُلَقّٰىهَآ اِلَّا ذُوْ حَظٍّ عَظِيْمٍ ٣٥

ID Translation Sifat-sifat yang baik itu tidak dianugerahkan melainkan kepada orang-orang yang sabar dan tidak dianugerahkan melainkan kepada orang-orang yang mempunyai keuntungan yang besar.

EN Translation Yet [to achieve] this is not given to any but those who are wont to be patient in adversity: it is not given to any but those endowed with the greatest good fortune!

وَاِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطٰنِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ ٣٦

ID Translation Dan jika syetan mengganggumu dengan suatu gangguan, maka mohonlah perlindungan kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Dialah yang Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation Hence, if it should happen that a prompting from Satan stirs thee up [to blind anger], seek refuge with God: behold, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهِ الَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُۗ لَا تَسْجُدُوْا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوْا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَهُنَّ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ اِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُوْنَ ٣٧

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah malam, siang, matahari dan bulan. Janganlah sembah matahari maupun bulan, tapi sembahlah Allah Yang menciptakannya, Jika Ialah yang kamu hendak sembah.

EN Translation Now among His signs are the night and the day, as well as the sun and the moon: [hence,] adore not the sun or the moon, but prostrate yourselves in adoration before God, who has created them - if it is Him whom you [really] worship.

فَاِنِ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا فَالَّذِيْنَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُوْنَ لَهٗ بِالَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُوْنَ ۩ ٣٨

ID Translation Jika mereka menyombongkan diri, maka mereka (malaikat) yang di sisi Tuhanmu bertasbih kepada-Nya di malam dan siang hari, sedang mereka tidak jemu-jemu.

EN Translation And though some be too proud [to listen to this call], they who [in their hearts] are with thy Sustainer extol His limitless glory by night and by day, and never grow weary [thereof].

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنَّكَ تَرَى الْاَرْضَ خَاشِعَةً فَاِذَآ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاۤءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْۗ اِنَّ الَّذِيْٓ اَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰى ۗاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ٣٩

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda-Nya (Ialah) bahwa kau lihat bumi kering dan gersang, maka apabila Kami turunkan air di atasnya, niscaya ia bergerak dan subur. Sesungguhnya Tuhan Yang menghidupkannya, Pastilah dapat menghidupkan yang mati. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.

EN Translation For among His signs is this: thou seest the earth lying desolate - and lo! when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells [with life]! Verily, He who brings it to life can surely give life to the dead [of heart as well]: for, behold, He has the power to will anything.

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُلْحِدُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِنَا لَا يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَاۗ اَفَمَنْ يُّلْقٰى فِى النَّارِ خَيْرٌ اَمَّنْ يَّأْتِيْٓ اٰمِنًا يَّوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗاِعْمَلُوْا مَا شِئْتُمْ ۙاِنَّهٗ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ ٤٠

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang mengingkari ayat-ayat Kami, mereka tidak tersembunyi dari Kami. Maka apakah orang-orang yang dilemparkan ke dalam neraka lebih baik, ataukah orang-orang yang datang dengan aman sentosa pada hari Kiamat? Perbuatlah apa yang kamu kehendaki; Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Melihat apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation VERILY, they who distort the meaning of Our mes­sages are not hidden from Us: hence, which [of the two] will be in a better state - he that is [destined to be] cast into the fire, or he that shall come secure [before Us] on Resurrection Day? Do what you will: verily, He sees all that you do.

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِالذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ ۗوَاِنَّهٗ لَكِتٰبٌ عَزِيْزٌ ۙ ٤١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang mengingkari Al Quran ketika Al Quran itu datang kepada mereka, (mereka itu pasti akan celaka), dan sesungguhnya Al Quran itu adalah kitab yang mulia.

EN Translation Verily, they who are bent on denying the truth of this reminder as soon as it comes to them - [they are the losers]: for, behold, it is a sublime divine writ:

لَّا يَأْتِيْهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهٖ ۗتَنْزِيْلٌ مِّنْ حَكِيْمٍ حَمِيْدٍ ٤٢

ID Translation Yang tidak datang kepadanya (Al Quran) kebatilan baik dari depan maupun dari belakangnya, yang diturunkan dari Rabb Yang Maha Bijaksana lagi Maha Terpuji.

EN Translation no falsehood can ever attain to it openly, and neither in a stealthy manner, [since it is] bestowed from on high by One who is truly wise, ever to be praised.

مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ اِلَّا مَا قَدْ قِيْلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۗاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُوْ مَغْفِرَةٍ وَّذُوْ عِقَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ ٤٣

ID Translation Tidaklah ada yang dikatakan (oleh orang-orang kafir) kepadamu itu selain apa yang sesungguhnya telah dikatakan kepada rasul-rasul sebelum kamu. Sesungguhnya Rabb-mu benar-benar mempunyai ampunan dan hukuman yang pedih.

EN Translation [And as for thee, O Prophet,] nothing is being said to thee but what was said to all [of God’s] apostles before thy time. Behold, thy Sustainer is indeed full of forgiveness - but He has also the power to requite most grie­vously!

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنٰهُ قُرْاٰنًا اَعْجَمِيًّا لَّقَالُوْا لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ اٰيٰتُهٗ ۗ ءَاَ۬عْجَمِيٌّ وَّعَرَبِيٌّ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا هُدًى وَّشِفَاۤءٌ ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَّهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًىۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِنْ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيْدٍ ٤٤

ID Translation Dan jikalau Kami jadikan Al Quran itu suatu bacaan dalam bahasa selain Arab, tentulah mereka mengatakan: "Mengapa tidak dijelaskan ayat-ayatnya?" Apakah (patut Al Quran) dalam bahasa asing sedang (rasul adalah orang) Arab? Katakanlah: "Al Quran itu adalah petunjuk dan penawar bagi orang-orang mukmin. Dan orang-orang yang tidak beriman pada telinga mereka ada sumbatan, sedang Al Quran itu suatu kegelapan bagi mereka. Mereka itu adalah (seperti) yang dipanggil dari tempat yang jauh".

EN Translation Now if We had willed this [divine writ] to be a discourse in a non-Arabic tongue, they [who now reject it] would surely have said, “Why is it that its messages have not been spelled out clearly? Why - [a message in] a non-Arabic tongue, and [its bearer] an Arab?” Say: “Unto all who have attained to faith, this [divine writ] is a guidance and a source of health; but as for those who will not believe - in their ears is deafness, and so it remains obscure to them: they are [like people who are] being called from too far away.

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيْهِ ۗوَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗوَاِنَّهُمْ لَفِيْ شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيْبٍ ٤٥

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami berikan kepada Musa Taurat lalu diperselisihkan tentang Taurat itu. Kalau tidak ada keputusan yang telah terdahulu dari Rabb-mu, tentulah orang-orang kafir itu sudah dibinasakan. Dan Sesungguhnya mereka terhadap Al Quran benar-benar dalam keragu-raguan yang membingungkan.

EN Translation Thus, too, have We vouchsafed revelation unto Moses aforetime, and thereupon disputes arose about it. And [then, as now,] had it not been for a decree that had already gone forth from thy Sustainer, all would indeed have been decided between them [from the outset]. As it is, behold, they [who will not believe in this divine writ] are in grave doubt, amounting to suspicion, about what it portends.

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهٖ ۙوَمَنْ اَسَاۤءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۗوَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِ ۔ ٤٦

ID Translation Barangsiapa yang mengerjakan amal yang saleh maka (pahalanya) untuk dirinya sendiri dan barangsiapa mengerjakan perbuatan jahat, maka (dosanya) untuk dirinya sendiri; dan sekali-kali tidaklah Rabb-mu menganiaya hamba-hamba-Nya.

EN Translation WHOEVER does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own hurt: and never does God do the least wrong to His creatures.
