Juz 22

۞ وَمَنْ يَّقْنُتْ مِنْكُنَّ لِلّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ وَتَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا نُّؤْتِهَآ اَجْرَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِۙ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لَهَا رِزْقًا كَرِيْمًا ٣١

ID Translation Dan barang siapa diantara kamu sekalian (isteri-isteri nabi) tetap taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya dan mengerjakan amal yang saleh, niscata Kami memberikan kepadanya pahala dua kali lipat dan Kami sediakan baginya rezeki yang mulia.

EN Translation But if any of you devoutly obeys God and His Apostle and does good deeds, on her shall We bestow her reward twice-over: for We shall have readied for her a most excellent sustenance [in the life to come].

يٰنِسَاۤءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَاَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاۤءِ اِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِيْ فِيْ قَلْبِهٖ مَرَضٌ وَّقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوْفًاۚ ٣٢

ID Translation Hai isteri-isteri Nabi, kamu sekalian tidaklah seperti wanita yang lain, jika kamu bertakwa. Maka janganlah kamu tunduk dalam berbicara sehingga berkeinginanlah orang yang ada penyakit dalam hatinya dan ucapkanlah perkataan yang baik,

EN Translation O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any of the [other] women, provided that you remain [truly] conscious of God. Hence, be not over-soft in your speech, lest any whose heart is diseased should be moved to desire [you]: but, withal, speak in a kindly way.

وَقَرْنَ فِيْ بُيُوْتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْاُوْلٰى وَاَقِمْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتِيْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَطِعْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ ۗاِنَّمَا يُرِيْدُ اللّٰهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ اَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيْرًاۚ ٣٣

ID Translation dan hendaklah kamu tetap di rumahmu dan janganlah kamu berhias dan bertingkah laku seperti orang-orang Jahiliyah yang dahulu dan dirikanlah shalat, tunaikanlah zakat dan taatilah Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Sesungguhnya Allah bermaksud hendak menghilangkan dosa dari kamu, hai ahlul bait dan membersihkan kamu sebersih-bersihnya.

EN Translation And abide quietly in your homes, and do not flaunt your charms as they used to flaunt them in the old days of pagan ignorance; and be constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto God and His Apostle: for God only wants to remove from you all that might be loathsome, O you members of the [Prophet’s] household, and to purify you to utmost purity.

وَاذْكُرْنَ مَا يُتْلٰى فِيْ بُيُوْتِكُنَّ مِنْ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَالْحِكْمَةِۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ لَطِيْفًا خَبِيْرًا ٣٤

ID Translation Dan ingatlah apa yang dibacakan di rumahmu dari ayat-ayat Allah dan hikmah (sunnah nabimu). Sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Lembut lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation And bear in mind all that is recited in your homes of God’s messages and [His] wisdom: for God is unfathomable [in His wisdom], all-aware.

اِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمٰتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ وَالْقٰنِتِيْنَ وَالْقٰنِتٰتِ وَالصّٰدِقِيْنَ وَالصّٰدِقٰتِ وَالصّٰبِرِيْنَ وَالصّٰبِرٰتِ وَالْخٰشِعِيْنَ وَالْخٰشِعٰتِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِيْنَ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقٰتِ وَالصَّاۤىِٕمِيْنَ وَالصّٰۤىِٕمٰتِ وَالْحٰفِظِيْنَ فُرُوْجَهُمْ وَالْحٰفِظٰتِ وَالذَّاكِرِيْنَ اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًا وَّالذَّاكِرٰتِ اَعَدَّ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةً وَّاَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا ٣٥

ID Translation Sesungguhnya laki-laki dan perempuan yang muslim, laki-laki dan perempuan yang mukmin, laki-laki dan perempuan yang tetap dalam ketaatannya, laki-laki dan perempuan yang benar, laki-laki dan perempuan yang sabar, laki-laki dan perempuan yang khusyu', laki-laki dan perempuan yang bersedekah, laki-laki dan perempuan yang berpuasa, laki-laki dan perempuan yang memelihara kehormatannya, laki-laki dan perempuan yang banyak menyebut (nama) Allah, Allah telah menyediakan untuk mereka ampunan dan pahala yang besar.

EN Translation VERILY, for all men and women who have sur­rendered themselves unto God, and all believing men and believing women, and all truly devout men and truly devout women, and all men and women who are true to their word, and all men and women who are patient in adversity, and all men and women who humble themselves [before God], and all men and women who give in charity, and all self-denying men and self-denying women, and all men and women who are mindful of their chastity, and all men and women who remember God unceasingly: for [all of] them has God readied forgiveness of sins and a mighty reward.

وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَّلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ اِذَا قَضَى اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗٓ اَمْرًا اَنْ يَّكُوْنَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ اَمْرِهِمْ ۗوَمَنْ يَّعْصِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلٰلًا مُّبِيْنًاۗ ٣٦

ID Translation Dan tidaklah patut bagi laki-laki yang mukmin dan tidak (pula) bagi perempuan yang mukmin, apabila Allah dan Rasul-Nya telah menetapkan suatu ketetapan, akan ada bagi mereka pilihan (yang lain) tentang urusan mereka. Dan barangsiapa mendurhakai Allah dan Rasul-Nya maka sungguhlah dia telah sesat, sesat yang nyata.

EN Translation Now whenever God and His Apostle have decided a matter, it is not for a believing man or a believing woman to claim freedom of choice insofar as they themselves are concerned: for he who [thus] rebels against God and His Apostle has already, most obviously, gone astray.

وَاِذْ تَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِيْٓ اَنْعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ اَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللّٰهَ وَتُخْفِيْ فِيْ نَفْسِكَ مَا اللّٰهُ مُبْدِيْهِ وَتَخْشَى النَّاسَۚ وَاللّٰهُ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَخْشٰىهُ ۗ فَلَمَّا قَضٰى زَيْدٌ مِّنْهَا وَطَرًاۗ زَوَّجْنٰكَهَا لِكَيْ لَا يَكُوْنَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ حَرَجٌ فِيْٓ اَزْوَاجِ اَدْعِيَاۤىِٕهِمْ اِذَا قَضَوْا مِنْهُنَّ وَطَرًاۗ وَكَانَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ مَفْعُوْلًا ٣٧

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah), ketika kamu berkata kepada orang yang Allah telah melimpahkan nikmat kepadanya dan kamu (juga) telah memberi nikmat kepadanya: "Tahanlah terus isterimu dan bertakwalah kepada Allah", sedang kamu menyembunyikan di dalam hatimu apa yang Allah akan menyatakannya, dan kamu takut kepada manusia, sedang Allah-lah yang lebih berhak untuk kamu takuti. Maka tatkala Zaid telah mengakhiri keperluan terhadap istrinya (menceraikannya), Kami kawinkan kamu dengan dia supaya tidak ada keberatan bagi orang mukmin untuk (mengawini) isteri-isteri anak-anak angkat mereka, apabila anak-anak angkat itu telah menyelesaikan keperluannya daripada isterinya. Dan adalah ketetapan Allah itu pasti terjadi.

EN Translation AND LO, [O Muhammad,] thou didst say unto the one to whom God had shown favour and to whom thou hadst shown favour, “Hold on to thy wife, and remain conscious of God!” And [thus] wouldst thou hide within thyself something that God was about to bring to light for thou didst stand in awe of [what] people [might think], whereas it was God alone of whom thou shouldst have stood in awe! [But] then, when Zayd had come to the end of his union with her, We gave her to thee in marriage, so that [in future] no blame should attach to the be­lievers for [marrying] the spouses of their adopted children when the latter have come to the end of their union with them. And [thus] God’s will was done.

مَا كَانَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مِنْ حَرَجٍ فِيْمَا فَرَضَ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ ۗسُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِى الَّذِيْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗوَكَانَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ قَدَرًا مَّقْدُوْرًاۙ ٣٨

ID Translation Tidak ada suatu keberatanpun atas Nabi tentang apa yang telah ditetapkan Allah baginya. (Allah telah menetapkan yang demikian) sebagai sunnah-Nya pada nabi-nabi yang telah berlalu dahulu. Dan adalah ketetapan Allah itu suatu ketetapan yang pasti berlaku,

EN Translation [Hence,] no blame whatever attaches to the Prophet for [having done] what God has ordained for him. [Indeed, such was] God’s way with those that have passed away aforetime and [remember that] God’s will is always destiny absolute-;

ۨالَّذِيْنَ يُبَلِّغُوْنَ رِسٰلٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَخْشَوْنَهٗ وَلَا يَخْشَوْنَ اَحَدًا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ۗوَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ حَسِيْبًا ٣٩

ID Translation (yaitu) orang-orang yang menyapaikan risalah-risalah Allah, mereka takut kepada-Nya dan mereka tiada merasa takut kepada seorang(pun) selain kepada Allah. Dan cukuplah Allah sebagai Pembuat Perhitungan.

EN Translation [and such will always be His way with] those who convey God’s messages [to the world], and stand in awe of Him, and hold none but God in awe: for none can take count [of man’s doings] as God does!

مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ اَبَآ اَحَدٍ مِّنْ رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ رَّسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيّٖنَۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمًا ٤٠

ID Translation Muhammad itu sekali-kali bukanlah bapak dari seorang laki-laki di antara kamu, tetapi dia adalah Rasulullah dan penutup nabi-nabi. Dan adalah Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.

EN Translation [And know, O believers, that] Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but is God’s Apostle and the Seal of all Prophets. And God has indeed full knowledge of everything.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيْرًاۙ ٤١

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, berzdikirlah (dengan menyebut nama) Allah, zikir yang sebanyak-banyaknya.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! Remember God with unceasing remembrance,

وَّسَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًا ٤٢

ID Translation Dan bertasbihlah kepada-Nya diwaktu pagi dan petang.

EN Translation and extol His limitless glory from morn to evening.

هُوَ الَّذِيْ يُصَلِّيْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلٰۤىِٕكَتُهٗ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوْرِۗ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ رَحِيْمًا ٤٣

ID Translation Dialah yang memberi rahmat kepadamu dan malaikat-Nya (memohonkan ampunan untukmu), supaya Dia mengeluarkan kamu dari kegelapan kepada cahaya (yang terang). Dan adalah Dia Maha Penyayang kepada orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation He it is who bestows His blessings upon you, with His angels [echoing Him], so that He might take you out of the depths of darkness into the light. And, indeed, a dispenser of grace is He unto the believers.

تَحِيَّتُهُمْ يَوْمَ يَلْقَوْنَهٗ سَلٰمٌ ۚوَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ اَجْرًا كَرِيْمًا ٤٤

ID Translation Salam penghormatan kepada mereka (orang-orang mukmin itu) pada hari mereka menemui-Nya ialah: Salam; dan Dia menyediakan pahala yang mulia bagi mereka.

EN Translation On the Day when they meet Him, they will be welcomed with the greeting, “Peace”; and He will have readied for them a most excellent reward.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ شَاهِدًا وَّمُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِيْرًاۙ ٤٥

ID Translation Hai Nabi, sesungguhnya Kami mengutusmu untuk jadi saksi, dan pembawa kabar gemgira dan pemberi peringatan,

EN Translation [And as for thee,] O Prophet - behold, We have sent thee as a witness [to the truth], and as a herald of glad tidings and a warner,

وَّدَاعِيًا اِلَى اللّٰهِ بِاِذْنِهٖ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيْرًا ٤٦

ID Translation dan untuk jadi penyeru kepada Agama Allah dengan izin-Nya dan untuk jadi cahaya yang menerangi.

EN Translation and as one who summons [all men] to God by His leave, and as a light-giving beacon.

وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ بِاَنَّ لَهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ فَضْلًا كَبِيْرًا ٤٧

ID Translation Dan sampaikanlah berita gembira kepada orang-orang mukmin bahwa sesungguhnya bagi mereka karunia yang besar dari Allah.

EN Translation And [so,] convey to the believers the glad tiding that a great bounty from God awaits them;

وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَدَعْ اَذٰىهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۗوَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ وَكِيْلًا ٤٨

ID Translation Dan janganlah kamu menuruti orang-orang yang kafir dan orang-orang munafik itu, janganlah kamu hiraukan gangguan mereka dan bertawakkallah kepada Allah. Dan cukuplah Allah sebagai Pelindung.

EN Translation and defer not to [the likes and dislikes of] the deniers of the truth and the hypocrites, and disregard their hurtful talk, and place thy trust in God: for none is as worthy of trust as God.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوْهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَمَسُّوْهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّوْنَهَاۚ فَمَتِّعُوْهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوْهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيْلًا ٤٩

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, apabila kamu menikahi perempuan-perempuan yang beriman, kemudian kamu ceraikan mereka sebelum kamu mencampurinya maka sekali-sekali tidak wajib atas mereka 'iddah bagimu yang kamu minta menyempurnakannya. Maka berilah mereka mut'ah dan lepaskanlah mereka itu dengan cara yang sebaik-baiknya.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! If you marry believing women and then divorce them ere you have touched them, you have no reason to expect, and to calculate, any waiting period on their part: hence, make [at once] provision for them, and release them in a becoming manner.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اِنَّآ اَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ اَزْوَاجَكَ الّٰتِيْٓ اٰتَيْتَ اُجُوْرَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِيْنُكَ مِمَّآ اَفَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمّٰتِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خٰلٰتِكَ الّٰتِيْ هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَۗ وَامْرَاَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً اِنْ وَّهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ اِنْ اَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ اَنْ يَّسْتَنْكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِنْ دُوْنِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَۗ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيْٓ اَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُمْ لِكَيْلَا يَكُوْنَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا ٥٠

ID Translation Hai Nabi, sesungguhnya Kami telah menghalalkan bagimu isteri-isterimu yang telah kamu berikan mas kawinnya dan hamba sahaya yang kamu miliki yang termasuk apa yang kamu peroleh dalam peperangan yang dikaruniakan Allah untukmu, dan (demikian pula) anak-anak perempuan dari saudara laki-laki bapakmu, anak-anak perempuan dari saudara perempuan bapakmu, anak-anak perempuan dari saudara laki-laki ibumu dan anak-anak perempuan dari saudara perempuan ibumu yang turut hijrah bersama kamu dan perempuan mukmin yang menyerahkan dirinya kepada Nabi kalau Nabi mau mengawininya, sebagai pengkhususan bagimu, bukan untuk semua orang mukmin. Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengetahui apa yang Kami wajibkan kepada mereka tentang isteri-isteri mereka dan hamba sahaya yang mereka miliki supaya tidak menjadi kesempitan bagimu. Dan adalah Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation O PROPHET! Behold, We have made lawful to thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowers, as well as those whom thy right hand has come to possess from among the captives of war whom God has bestowed upon thee. And [We have made lawful to thee] the daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and the daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who have migrated with thee [to Yathrib]; and any believing woman who offers herself freely to the Prophet and whom the Prophet might be willing to wed: [this latter being but] a privilege for thee, and not for other believers - [seeing that] We have already made known what We have enjoined upon them with regard to their wives and those whom their right hands may possess. [And] in order that thou be not burdened with [undue] anxiety - for God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace –

۞ تُرْجِيْ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُـْٔوِيْٓ اِلَيْكَ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُۗ وَمَنِ ابْتَغَيْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكَۗ ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰٓى اَنْ تَقَرَّ اَعْيُنُهُنَّ وَلَا يَحْزَنَّ وَيَرْضَيْنَ بِمَآ اٰتَيْتَهُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِيْ قُلُوْبِكُمْ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيْمًا حَلِيْمًا ٥١

ID Translation Kamu boleh menangguhkan menggauli siapa yang kamu kehendaki di antara mereka (isteri-isterimu) dan (boleh pula) menggauli siapa yang kamu kehendaki. Dan siapa-siapa yang kamu ingini untuk menggaulinya kembali dari perempuan yang telah kamu cerai, maka tidak ada dosa bagimu. Yang demikian itu adalah lebih dekat untuk ketenangan hati mereka, dan mereka tidak merasa sedih, dan semuanya rela dengan apa yang telah kamu berikan kepada mereka. Dan Allah mengetahui apa yang (tersimpan) dalam hatimu. Dan adalah Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Penyantun.

EN Translation [know that] thou mayest put off for a time whichever of them thou pleasest, and mayest take unto thee whichever thou pleasest; and [that,] if thou seek out any from whom thou hast kept away [for a time], thou wilt incur no sin [thereby]: this will make it more likely that their eyes are gladdened [whenever they see thee], and that they do not grieve [whenever they are overlooked], and that all of them may find contentment in whatever thou hast to give them: for God [alone] knows what is in your hearts - and God is indeed all-knowing, for­bearing.

لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاۤءُ مِنْۢ بَعْدُ وَلَآ اَنْ تَبَدَّلَ بِهِنَّ مِنْ اَزْوَاجٍ وَّلَوْ اَعْجَبَكَ حُسْنُهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِيْنُكَۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رَّقِيْبًا ٥٢

ID Translation Tidak halal bagimu mengawini perempuan-perempuan sesudah itu dan tidak boleh (pula) mengganti mereka dengan isteri-isteri (yang lain), meskipun kecantikannya menarik hatimu kecuali perempuan-perempuan (hamba sahaya) yang kamu miliki. Dan adalah Allah Maha Mengawasi segala sesuatu.

EN Translation No [other] women shall henceforth be lawful to thee nor art thou [allowed] to supplant [any of] them by other wives, even though their beauty should please thee greatly -: [none shall be lawful to thee] beyond those whom thou [already] hast come to possess. And God keeps watch over everything.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَدْخُلُوْا بُيُوْتَ النَّبِيِّ اِلَّآ اَنْ يُّؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ اِلٰى طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نٰظِرِيْنَ اِنٰىهُ وَلٰكِنْ اِذَا دُعِيْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوْا فَاِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانْتَشِرُوْا وَلَا مُسْتَأْنِسِيْنَ لِحَدِيْثٍۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى النَّبِيَّ فَيَسْتَحْيٖ مِنْكُمْ ۖوَاللّٰهُ لَا يَسْتَحْيٖ مِنَ الْحَقِّۗ وَاِذَا سَاَلْتُمُوْهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْـَٔلُوْهُنَّ مِنْ وَّرَاۤءِ حِجَابٍۗ ذٰلِكُمْ اَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوْبِكُمْ وَقُلُوْبِهِنَّۗ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ اَنْ تُؤْذُوْا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ وَلَآ اَنْ تَنْكِحُوْٓا اَزْوَاجَهٗ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖٓ اَبَدًاۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيْمًا ٥٣

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu memasuki rumah-rumah Nabi kecuali bila kamu diizinkan untuk makan dengan tidak menunggu-nunggu waktu masak (makanannya), tetapi jika kamu diundang maka masuklah dan bila kamu selesai makan, keluarlah kamu tanpa asyik memperpanjang percakapan. Sesungguhnya yang demikian itu akan mengganggu Nabi lalu Nabi malu kepadamu (untuk menyuruh kamu keluar), dan Allah tidak malu (menerangkan) yang benar. Apabila kamu meminta sesuatu (keperluan) kepada mereka (isteri-isteri Nabi), maka mintalah dari belakang tabir. Cara yang demikian itu lebih suci bagi hatimu dan hati mereka. Dan tidak boleh kamu menyakiti (hati) Rasulullah dan tidak (pula) mengawini isteri-isterinya selama-lamanya sesudah ia wafat. Sesungguhnya perbuatan itu adalah amat besar (dosanya) di sisi Allah.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not enter the Prophet’s dwellings unless you are given leave; [and when invited] to a meal, do not come [so early as] to wait for it to be readied: but whenever you are invited, enter [at the proper time]; and when you have partaken of the meal, disperse without lingering for the sake of mere talk: that, behold, might give offence to the Prophet, and yet he might feel shy of [asking] you [to leave]: but God is not shy of [teaching you] what is right. And [as for the Prophet’s wives,] whenever you ask them for anything that you need, ask them from behind a screen: this will but deepen the purity of your hearts and theirs. Moreover, it does not behove you to give offence to God’s Apostle - just as it would not behove you ever to marry his widows after he has passed away: that, verily, would be an enormity in the sight of God.

اِنْ تُبْدُوْا شَيْـًٔا اَوْ تُخْفُوْهُ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمًا ٥٤

ID Translation Jika kamu melahirkan sesuatu atau menyembunyikannya, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.

EN Translation Whether you do anything openly or in secret, [remember that,] verily, God has full knowledge of everything.

لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فِيْٓ اٰبَاۤىِٕهِنَّ وَلَآ اَبْنَاۤىِٕهِنَّ وَلَآ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَآ اَبْنَاۤءِ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَآ اَبْنَاۤءِ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَاۤىِٕهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُنَّۚ وَاتَّقِيْنَ اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيْدًا ٥٥

ID Translation Tidak ada dosa atas isteri-isteri Nabi (untuk berjumpa tanpa tabir) dengan bapak-bapak mereka, anak-anak laki-laki mereka, saudara laki-laki mereka, anak laki-laki dari saudara laki-laki mereka, anak laki-laki dari saudara mereka yang perempuan yang beriman dan hamba sahaya yang mereka miliki, dan bertakwalah kamu (hai isteri-isteri Nabi) kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Menyaksikan segala sesuatu.

EN Translation [However,] it is no sin for them [to appear freely] before their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their womenfolk, or such [male slaves] as their right hands may possess. But [always, O wives of the Prophet,] remain con­scious of God - for, behold, God is witness unto everything.

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَمَلٰۤىِٕكَتَهٗ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّۗ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمًا ٥٦

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah dan malaikat-malaikat-Nya bershalawat untuk Nabi. Hai orang-orang yang beriman, bershalawatlah kamu untuk Nabi dan ucapkanlah salam penghormatan kepadanya.

EN Translation Verily, God and His angels bless the Prophet: [hence,] O you who have attained to faith, bless him and give yourselves up [to his guidance] in utter self-surrender!

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُؤْذُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ لَعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا مُّهِيْنًا ٥٧

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang menyakiti Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Allah akan melaknatinya di dunia dan di akhirat, dan menyediakan baginya siksa yang menghinakan.

EN Translation Verily, as for those who [knowingly] affront God and His Apostle - God will reject them in this world and in the life to come; and shameful suffering will He ready for them.

وَالَّذِيْنَ يُؤْذُوْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُوْا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُوْا بُهْتَانًا وَّاِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا ٥٨

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang menyakiti orang-orang yang mukmin dan mukminat tanpa kesalahan yang mereka perbuat, maka sesungguhnya mereka telah memikul kebohongan dan dosa yang nyata.

EN Translation And as for those who malign believing men and believing women without their having done any wrong - they surely burden themselves with the guilt of calumny, and [thus] with a flagrant sin!

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنٰتِكَ وَنِسَاۤءِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يُدْنِيْنَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيْبِهِنَّۗ ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰىٓ اَنْ يُّعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا ٥٩

ID Translation Hai Nabi, katakanlah kepada isteri-isterimu, anak-anak perempuanmu dan isteri-isteri orang mukmin: "Hendaklah mereka mengulurkan jilbabnya ke seluruh tubuh mereka". Yang demikian itu supaya mereka lebih mudah untuk dikenal, karena itu mereka tidak di ganggu. Dan Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more con­ducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much- forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

۞ لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ يَنْتَهِ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ وَّالْمُرْجِفُوْنَ فِى الْمَدِيْنَةِ لَنُغْرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُوْنَكَ فِيْهَآ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ٦٠

ID Translation Sesungguhnya jika tidak berhenti orang-orang munafik, orang-orang yang berpenyakit dalam hatinya dan orang-orang yang menyebarkan kabar bohong di Madinah (dari menyakitimu), niscaya Kami perintahkan kamu (untuk memerangi) mereka, kemudian mereka tidak menjadi tetanggamu (di Madinah) melainkan dalam waktu yang sebentar,

EN Translation THUS IT IS: if the hypocrites, and they in whose hearts is disease, and they who, by spreading false rumours, would cause disturbances in the City [of the Prophet] desist not [from their hostile doings]. We shall indeed give thee mastery over them, [O Muhammad] - and then they will not remain thy neighbours in this [city] for more than a little while:

مَلْعُوْنِيْنَۖ اَيْنَمَا ثُقِفُوْٓا اُخِذُوْا وَقُتِّلُوْا تَقْتِيْلًا ٦١

ID Translation dalam keadaan terlaknat. Di mana saja mereka dijumpai, mereka ditangkap dan dibunuh dengan sehebat-hebatnya.

EN Translation bereft of God’s grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all.

سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِى الَّذِيْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚوَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللّٰهِ تَبْدِيْلًا ٦٢

ID Translation Sebagai sunnah Allah yang berlaku atas orang-orang yang telah terdahulu sebelum(mu), dan kamu sekali-kali tiada akan mendapati peubahan pada sunnah Allah.

EN Translation Such has been God’s way with those who [sinned in like manner and] passed away aforetime - and never wilt thou find any change in God’s way!

يَسْـَٔلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِۗ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَمَا يُدْرِيْكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُوْنُ قَرِيْبًا ٦٣

ID Translation Manusia bertanya kepadamu tentang hari berbangkit. Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya pengetahuan tentang hari berbangkit itu hanya di sisi Allah". Dan tahukah kamu (hai Muhammad), boleh jadi hari berbangkit itu sudah dekat waktunya.

EN Translation PEOPLE will ask thee about the Last Hour. Say: “Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; yet for all thou knowest, the Last Hour may well be near!”

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَعَنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ سَعِيْرًاۙ ٦٤

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah melaknati orang-orang kafir dan menyediakan bagi mereka api yang menyala-nyala (neraka),

EN Translation Verily, God has rejected the deniers of the truth, and has readied for them a blazing fire,

خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ اَبَدًاۚ لَا يَجِدُوْنَ وَلِيًّا وَّلَا نَصِيْرًا ۚ ٦٥

ID Translation mereka kekal di dalamnya selama-lamanya; mereka tidak memperoleh seorang pelindungpun dan tidak (pula) seorang penolong.

EN Translation therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protec­tor will they find, and none to bring them succour.

يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوْهُهُمْ فِى النَّارِ يَقُوْلُوْنَ يٰلَيْتَنَآ اَطَعْنَا اللّٰهَ وَاَطَعْنَا الرَّسُوْلَا۠ ٦٦

ID Translation Pada hari ketika muka mereka dibolak-balikan dalam neraka, mereka berkata: "Alangkah baiknya, andaikata kami taat kepada Allah dan taat (pula) kepada Rasul".

EN Translation On the Day when their faces shall be tossed about in the fire, they will exclaim, “Oh, would that we had paid heed unto God, and paid heed unto the Apostle!”

وَقَالُوْا رَبَّنَآ اِنَّآ اَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاۤءَنَا فَاَضَلُّوْنَا السَّبِيْلَا۠ ٦٧

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Ya Tuhan kami, sesungguhnya kami telah mentaati pemimpin-pemimpin dan pembesar-pembesar kami, lalu mereka menyesatkan kami dari jalan (yang benar).

EN Translation And they will say: “O our Sustainer! Behold, we paid heed unto our leaders and our great men, and it is they who have led us astray from the right path!

رَبَّنَآ اٰتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِيْرًا ٦٨

ID Translation Ya Tuhan kami, timpakanlah kepada mereka azab dua kali lipat dan kutuklah mereka dengan kutukan yang besar".

EN Translation O our Sustainer! Give them double suffering, and banish them utterly from Thy grace!”

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِيْنَ اٰذَوْا مُوْسٰى فَبَرَّاَهُ اللّٰهُ مِمَّا قَالُوْا ۗوَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَجِيْهًا ۗ ٦٩

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu menjadi seperti orang-orang yang menyakiti Musa; maka Allah membersihkannya dari tuduhan-tuduhan yang mereka katakan. Dan adalah dia seorang yang mempunyai kedudukan terhormat di sisi Allah.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! Be not like those [children of Israel] who gave offence to Moses, and [remember that] God showed him to be innocent of whatever they alleged [against him or demanded of him]: for of great honour was he in the sight of God.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَقُوْلُوْا قَوْلًا سَدِيْدًاۙ ٧٠

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, bertakwalah kamu kepada Allah dan katakanlah perkataan yang benar,

EN Translation O you who have attained to faith! Remain conscious of God, and [always] speak with a will to bring out [only] what is just and true -

يُّصْلِحْ لَكُمْ اَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوْبَكُمْۗ وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيْمًا ٧١

ID Translation niscaya Allah memperbaiki bagimu amalan-amalanmu dan mengampuni bagimu dosa-dosamu. Dan barangsiapa mentaati Allah dan Rasul-Nya, maka sesungguhnya ia telah mendapat kemenangan yang besar.

EN Translation [whereupon] He will cause your deeds to be virtuous, and will forgive you your sins. And [know that] whoever pays heed unto God and His Apostle has already attained to a mighty triumph.

اِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْاَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَاَبَيْنَ اَنْ يَّحْمِلْنَهَا وَاَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْاِنْسَانُۗ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ ظَلُوْمًا جَهُوْلًاۙ ٧٢

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengemukakan amanat kepada langit, bumi dan gunung-gunung, maka semuanya enggan untuk memikul amanat itu dan mereka khawatir akan mengkhianatinya, dan dipikullah amanat itu oleh manusia. Sesungguhnya manusia itu amat zalim dan amat bodoh,

EN Translation Verily, We did offer the trust [of reason and volition] to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains: but they refused to bear it because they were afraid of it. Yet man took it up - for, verily, he has always been prone to be most wicked, most foolish.

لِّيُعَذِّبَ اللّٰهُ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقَتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ وَالْمُشْرِكٰتِ وَيَتُوْبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا ٧٣

ID Translation sehingga Allah mengazab orang-orang munafik laki-laki dan perempuan dan orang-orang musyrikin laki-laki dan perempuan; dan sehingga Allah menerima taubat orang-orang mukmin laki-laki dan perempuan. Dan adalah Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation [And so it is] that God imposes suffering on the hypocrites, both men and women, as well as on the men and women who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him. And [so, too, it is] that God turns in His mercy unto the believing men and believing women: for God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِۗ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيْمُ الْخَبِيْرُ ١

ID Translation Segala puji bagi Allah yang memiliki apa yang di langit dan apa yang di bumi dan bagi-Nya (pula) segala puji di akhirat. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Bijaksana lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation ALL PRAISE is due to God, to whom all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth belongs; and to Him will be due all praise in the life to come. For He alone is truly wise, all-aware:

يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيْهَاۗ وَهُوَ الرَّحِيْمُ الْغَفُوْرُ ٢

ID Translation Dia mengetahui apa yang masuk ke dalam bumi, apa yang ke luar daripadanya, apa yang turun dari langit dan apa yang naik kepadanya. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Penyayang lagi Maha Pengampun.

EN Translation He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He alone is a dispenser of grace, truly-forgiving.

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَا تَأْتِيْنَا السَّاعَةُ ۗقُلْ بَلٰى وَرَبِّيْ لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْۙ عٰلِمِ الْغَيْبِۙ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَآ اَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَآ اَكْبَرُ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٣

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang kafir berkata: "Hari berbangkit itu tidak akan datang kepada kami". Katakanlah: "Pasti datang, demi Tuhanku Yang Mengetahui yang ghaib, sesungguhnya kiamat itu pasti akan datang kepadamu. Tidak ada tersembunyi daripada-Nya sebesar zarrahpun yang ada di langit dan yang ada di bumi dan tidak ada (pula) yang lebih kecil dari itu dan yang lebih besar, melainkan tersebut dalam Kitab yang nyata (Lauh Mahfuzh)",

EN Translation And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth assert, “Never will the Last Hour come upon us!” Say: “Nay, by my Sustainer! By Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being’s perception: it will most certainly come upon you!” Not an atom’s weight [of whatever there is] in the heavens or on earth escapes His knowledge; and neither is there anything smaller than that, or larger, but is recorded in [His] clear decree,

لِّيَجْزِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ ٤

ID Translation supaya Allah memberi balasan kepada orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal yang saleh. Mereka itu adalah orang-orang yang baginya ampunan dan rezeki yang mulia.

EN Translation to the end that He may reward those who believe and do right­eous deeds: [for] it is they whom forgiveness of sins awaits, and a most excellent sustenance

وَالَّذِيْنَ سَعَوْ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِنَا مُعٰجِزِيْنَ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِّنْ رِّجْزٍ اَلِيْمٌ ٥

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang berusaha untuk (menentang) ayat-ayat Kami dengan anggapan mereka dapat melemahkan (menggagalkan azab Kami), mereka itu memperoleh azab, yaitu (jenis) azab yang pedih.

EN Translation whereas for those who strive against Our messages, seeking to defeat their purpose, there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness.

وَيَرَى الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ الَّذِيْٓ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ هُوَ الْحَقَّۙ وَيَهْدِيْٓ اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِ ٦

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang diberi ilmu (Ahli Kitab) berpendapat bahwa wahyu yang diturunkan kepadamu dari Tuhanmu itulah yang benar dan menunjuki (manusia) kepada jalan Tuhan Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Terpuji.

EN Translation NOW THEY who are endowed with [innate] knowl­edge are well aware that whatever has been be­stowed upon thee from on high by thy Sustainer is indeed the truth, and that it guides onto the way that leads to the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due!

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا هَلْ نَدُلُّكُمْ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ يُّنَبِّئُكُمْ اِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍۙ اِنَّكُمْ لَفِيْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍۚ ٧

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir berkata (kepada teman-temannya). "Maukah kamu kami tunjukkan kepadamu seorang laki-laki yang memberitakan kepadamu bahwa apabila badanmu telah hancur sehancur-hancurnya, sesungguhnya kamu benar-benar (akan dibangkitkan kembali) dalam ciptaan yang baru?

EN Translation As against this, they who are bent on denying the truth say [unto all who are of like mind]: “Shall we point out to you a man who will tell you that [after your death,] when you will have been scattered in countless fragments, you shall - lo and behold! - be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?

اَفْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَمْ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ۗبَلِ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ فِى الْعَذَابِ وَالضَّلٰلِ الْبَعِيْدِ ٨

ID Translation Apakah dia mengada-adakan kebohongan terhadap Allah ataukah ada padanya penyakit gila?" (Tidak), tetapi orang-orang yang tidak beriman kepada negeri akhirat berada dalam siksaan dan kesesatan yang jauh.

EN Translation Does he [knowingly] attribute his own lying inventions to God - or is he a madman?” Nay, [there is no madness in this Prophet -] but they who will not believe in the life to come are [bound to lose themselves] in suffering and in a profound aberration.

اَفَلَمْ يَرَوْا اِلٰى مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنْ نَّشَأْ نَخْسِفْ بِهِمُ الْاَرْضَ اَوْ نُسْقِطْ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيْبٍ ٩

ID Translation Maka apakah mereka tidak melihat langit dan bumi yang ada di hadapan dan di belakang mereka? Jika Kami menghendaki, niscaya Kami benamkan mereka di bumi atau Kami jatuhkan kepada mereka gumpalan dari langit. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda (kekuasaan Tuhan) bagi setiap hamba yang kembali (kepada-Nya).

EN Translation Are they, then, not aware of how little of the sky and the earth lies open before them, and how much is hidden from them? [or that,] if We so willed, We could cause the earth to swallow them, or cause fragments of the sky to fall down upon them? In all this, behold, there is a message indeed for every servant [of God] who is wont to turn unto Him [in repentance].

۞ وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا دَاوٗدَ مِنَّا فَضْلًاۗ يٰجِبَالُ اَوِّبِيْ مَعَهٗ وَالطَّيْرَ ۚوَاَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيْدَۙ ١٠

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami berikan kepada Daud kurnia dari Kami. (Kami berfirman): "Hai gunung-gunung dan burung-burung, bertasbihlah berulang-ulang bersama Daud", dan Kami telah melunakkan besi untuknya,

EN Translation AND [thus], indeed, did We grace David with Our favour: “O you mountains! Sing with him the praise of God! And [likewise] you birds!” And We softened all sharpness in him,

اَنِ اعْمَلْ سٰبِغٰتٍ وَّقَدِّرْ فِى السَّرْدِ وَاعْمَلُوْا صَالِحًاۗ اِنِّيْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ ١١

ID Translation (yaitu) buatlah baju besi yang besar-besar dan ukurlah anyamannya; dan kerjakanlah amalan yang saleh. Sesungguhnya Aku melihat apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation [and inspired him thus:] “Do good deeds lavishly, without stint, and give deep thought to their steady flow.” And [thus should you all, O believers,] do righteous deeds: for, verily, I see all that you do!

وَلِسُلَيْمٰنَ الرِّيْحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَّرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌۚ وَاَسَلْنَا لَهٗ عَيْنَ الْقِطْرِۗ وَمِنَ الْجِنِّ مَنْ يَّعْمَلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهٖۗ وَمَنْ يَّزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ اَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِيْرِ ١٢

ID Translation Dan Kami (tundukkan) angin bagi Sulaiman, yang perjalanannya di waktu pagi sama dengan perjalanan sebulan dan perjalanannya di waktu sore sama dengan perjalanan sebulan (pula) dan Kami alirkan cairan tembaga baginya. Dan sebahagian dari jin ada yang bekerja di hadapannya (di bawah kekuasaannya) dengan izin Tuhannya. Dan siapa yang menyimpang di antara mereka dari perintah Kami, Kami rasakan kepadanya azab neraka yang apinya menyala-nyala.

EN Translation AND UNTO Solomon [We made subservient] the wind: its morning course [covered the distance of] a month’s journey, and its evening course, a month’s journey. And We caused a fountain of molten copper to flow at his behest; and [even] among the invisible beings there were some that had [been constrained] to labour for him by his Sustainer’s leave and whichever of them deviated from Our command, him would We let taste suffering through a blazing flame -:

يَعْمَلُوْنَ لَهٗ مَا يَشَاۤءُ مِنْ مَّحَارِيْبَ وَتَمَاثِيْلَ وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَوَابِ وَقُدُوْرٍ رّٰسِيٰتٍۗ اِعْمَلُوْٓا اٰلَ دَاوٗدَ شُكْرًا ۗوَقَلِيْلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُوْرُ ١٣

ID Translation Para jin itu membuat untuk Sulaiman apa yang dikehendakinya dari gedung-gedung yang tinggi dan patung-patung dan piring-piring yang (besarnya) seperti kolam dan periuk yang tetap (berada di atas tungku). Bekerjalah hai keluarga Daud untuk bersyukur (kepada Allah). Dan sedikit sekali dari hamba-hamba-Ku yang berterima kasih.

EN Translation they made for him whatever he wished of sanctuaries, and statues, and basins as [large as] great watering - troughs, and cauldrons firmly anchored. [And We said:] “Labour, O David’s people, in gratitude [towards Me] and [remember that] few are the truly grateful [even] among My servants!”

فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلٰى مَوْتِهٖٓ اِلَّا دَاۤبَّةُ الْاَرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنْسَاَتَهٗ ۚفَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ اَنْ لَّوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوْا فِى الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِيْنِۗ ١٤

ID Translation Maka tatkala Kami telah menetapkan kematian Sulaiman, tidak ada yang menunjukkan kepada mereka kematiannya itu kecuali rayap yang memakan tongkatnya. Maka tatkala ia telah tersungkur, tahulah jin itu bahwa kalau sekiranya mereka mengetahui yang ghaib tentulah mereka tidak akan tetap dalam siksa yang menghinakan.

EN Translation Yet [even Solomon had to die; but] when We decreed that he should die, nothing showed them that he was dead except an earthworm that gnawed away his staff. And when he fell to the ground, those invisible beings [subservient to him] saw clearly that, had they but understood the reality which was be­yond the reach of their perception, they would not have continued [to toil] in the shameful suffering [of servitude]

لَقَدْ كَانَ لِسَبَاٍ فِيْ مَسْكَنِهِمْ اٰيَةٌ ۚجَنَّتٰنِ عَنْ يَّمِيْنٍ وَّشِمَالٍ ەۗ كُلُوْا مِنْ رِّزْقِ رَبِّكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوْا لَهٗ ۗبَلْدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَّرَبٌّ غَفُوْرٌ ١٥

ID Translation Sesungguhnya bagi kaum Saba' ada tanda (kekuasaan Tuhan) di tempat kediaman mereka yaitu dua buah kebun di sebelah kanan dan di sebelah kiri. (kepada mereka dikatakan): "Makanlah olehmu dari rezeki yang (dianugerahkan) Tuhanmu dan bersyukurlah kamu kepada-Nya. (Negerimu) adalah negeri yang baik dan (Tuhanmu) adalah Tuhan Yang Maha Pengampun".

EN Translation INDEED, in [the luxuriant beauty of] their homeland, the people of Sheba had an evidence [of God’s grace] two [vast expanses of] gardens, to the right and to the left, [calling out to them, as it were:] “Eat of what your Sustainer has provided for you, and render thanks unto Him: a land most goodly, and a Sustainer much-forgiving!”

فَاَعْرَضُوْا فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلْنٰهُمْ بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَوَاتَيْ اُكُلٍ خَمْطٍ وَّاَثْلٍ وَّشَيْءٍ مِّنْ سِدْرٍ قَلِيْلٍ ١٦

ID Translation Tetapi mereka berpaling, maka Kami datangkan kepada mereka banjir yang besar dan Kami ganti kedua kebun mereka dengan dua kebun yang ditumbuhi (pohon-pohon) yang berbuah pahit, pohon Atsl dan sedikit dari pohon Sidr.

EN Translation But they turned away [from Us], and so We let loose upon them a flood that overwhelmed the dams, and changed their two [expanses of luxuriant] gardens into a couple of gardens yielding bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few [wild] lote-trees:

ذٰلِكَ جَزَيْنٰهُمْ بِمَا كَفَرُوْاۗ وَهَلْ نُجٰزِيْٓ اِلَّا الْكَفُوْرَ ١٧

ID Translation Demikianlah Kami memberi balasan kepada mereka karena kekafiran mereka. Dan Kami tidak menjatuhkan azab (yang demikian itu), melainkan hanya kepada orang-orang yang sangat kafir.

EN Translation thus We requited them for their having denied the truth. But do We ever requite [thus] any but the utterly ingrate?

وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْقُرَى الَّتِيْ بٰرَكْنَا فِيْهَا قُرًى ظَاهِرَةً وَّقَدَّرْنَا فِيْهَا السَّيْرَۗ سِيْرُوْا فِيْهَا لَيَالِيَ وَاَيَّامًا اٰمِنِيْنَ ١٨

ID Translation Dan Kami jadikan antara mereka dan antara negeri-negeri yang Kami limpahkan berkat kepadanya, beberapa negeri yang berdekatan dan Kami tetapkan antara negeri-negeri itu (jarak-jarak) perjalanan. Berjalanlah kamu di kota-kota itu pada malam hari dan siang hari dengan dengan aman.

EN Translation Now [before their downfall,] We had placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [many] towns within sight of one another; and thus We had made traveling easy [for them, as if to say]: “Travel safely in this [land], by night or by day!”

فَقَالُوْا رَبَّنَا بٰعِدْ بَيْنَ اَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَحَادِيْثَ وَمَزَّقْنٰهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوْرٍ ١٩

ID Translation Maka mereka berkata: "Ya Tuhan kami jauhkanlah jarak perjalanan kami", dan mereka menganiaya diri mereka sendiri; maka Kami jadikan mereka buah mulut dan Kami hancurkan mereka sehancur-hancurnya. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda kekuasaan Allah bagi setiap orang yang sabar lagi bersyukur.

EN Translation But now they would say, “Long has our Sus­tainer made the distance between our journey- stages!” - for they had sinned against themselves. And in the end We caused them to become [one of those] tales [of things long past], and scattered them in countless fragments. Herein, behold, there are messages indeed for all who are wholly patient in adversity and deeply grate­ful [to God].

وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ اِبْلِيْسُ ظَنَّهٗ فَاتَّبَعُوْهُ اِلَّا فَرِيْقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya iblis telah dapat membuktikan kebenaran sangkaannya terhadap mereka lalu mereka mengikutinya, kecuali sebahagian orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation Now, indeed, Iblis did prove that his opinion of them had been right: for [when he called them,] they followed him - all but some of the believers [among them].

وَمَا كَانَ لَهٗ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ سُلْطَانٍ اِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَنْ يُّؤْمِنُ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ مِمَّنْ هُوَ مِنْهَا فِيْ شَكٍّ ۗوَرَبُّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيْظٌ ٢١

ID Translation Dan tidak adalah kekuasaan iblis terhadap mereka, melainkan hanyalah agar Kami dapat membedakan siapa yang beriman kepada adanya kehidupan akhirat dari siapa yang ragu-ragu tentang itu. Dan Tuhanmu Maha Memelihara segala sesuatu.

EN Translation And yet, he had no power at all over them: [for if We allow him to tempt man,] it is only to the end that We might make a clear distinction between those who [truly] believe in the life to come and those who are in doubt thereof: for thy Sustainer watches over all things.

قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِيْنَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِۚ لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيْهِمَا مِنْ شِرْكٍ وَّمَا لَهٗ مِنْهُمْ مِّنْ ظَهِيْرٍ ٢٢

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Serulah mereka yang kamu anggap (sebagai tuhan) selain Allah, mereka tidak memiliki (kekuasaan) seberat zarrahpun di langit dan di bumi, dan mereka tidak mempunyai suatu sahampun dalam (penciptaan) langit dan bumi dan sekali-kali tidak ada di antara mereka yang menjadi pembantu bagi-Nya.

EN Translation SAY: “Call upon those [beings] whom you imagine [to be endowed with divine powers] beside God: they have not an atom’s weight of power either in the heavens or on earth, nor have they any share in [governing] either, nor does He [choose to] have any helper from among them.”

وَلَا تَنْفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِنْدَهٗٓ اِلَّا لِمَنْ اَذِنَ لَهٗ ۗحَتّٰىٓ اِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ قَالُوْا مَاذَاۙ قَالَ رَبُّكُمْۗ قَالُوا الْحَقَّۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيْرُ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan tiadalah berguna syafa'at di sisi Allah melainkan bagi orang yang telah diizinkan-Nya memperoleh syafa'at itu, sehingga apabila telah dihilangkan ketakutan dari hati mereka, mereka berkata "Apakah yang telah difirmankan oleh Tuhan-mu?" Mereka menjawab: (Perkataan) yang benar", dan Dialah Yang Maha Tinggi lagi Maha Besar.

EN Translation And, before Him, intercession can be of no avail [to any] save one in whose case He may have granted leave [there for]: so much so that when the terror [of the Last Hour] is lifted from their hearts, they [who have been resurrected] will ask [one an­other], “What has your Sustainer decreed [for you]?” - [to which] the others will answer, “Whatever is true and deserved - for He alone is exalted, great!”

۞ قُلْ مَنْ يَّرْزُقُكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ قُلِ اللّٰهُ ۙوَاِنَّآ اَوْ اِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلٰى هُدًى اَوْ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ٢٤

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Siapakan yang memberi rezeki kepadamu dari langit dan dari bumi?" Katakanlah: "Allah", dan sesungguhnya kami atau kamu (orang-orang musyrik), pasti berada dalam kebenaran atau dalam kesesatan yang nyata.

EN Translation Say: “Who is it that provides for you sus­tenance out of the heavens and the earth?” Say: “It is God. And, behold, either we [who believe in Him] or you [who deny His oneness] are on the right path, or have clearly gone astray!”

قُلْ لَّا تُسْـَٔلُوْنَ عَمَّآ اَجْرَمْنَا وَلَا نُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٥

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Kamu tidak akan ditanya (bertanggung jawab) tentang dosa yang kami perbuat dan kami tidak akan ditanya (pula) tentang apa yang kamu perbuat".

EN Translation Say: “Neither shall you be called to account for whatever we may have become guilty of, nor shall we be called to account for whatever you are doing.”

قُلْ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا رَبُّنَا ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّۗ وَهُوَ الْفَتَّاحُ الْعَلِيْمُ ٢٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Tuhan kita akan mengumpulkan kita semua, kemudian Dia memberi keputusan antara kita dengan benar. Dan Dialah Maha Pemberi keputusan lagi Maha Mengetahui".

EN Translation Say: “Our Sustainer will bring us all together [on Judgment Day], and then He will lay open the truth between us, in justice - for He alone is the One who opens all truth, the All-Knowing!”

قُلْ اَرُوْنِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اَلْحَقْتُمْ بِهٖ شُرَكَاۤءَ كَلَّا ۗبَلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٢٧

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Perlihatkanlah kepadaku sembah-sembahan yang kamu hubungkan dengan Dia sebagai sekutu-sekutu-Nya, sekali-kali tidak mungkin! Sebenarnya Dialah Allah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation Say: “Point out to me those [beings] that you have joined with Him [in your minds] as partners [in His divinity]! Nay - nay, but He [alone] is God, the Almighty, the Wise!”

وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ اِلَّا كَاۤفَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيْرًا وَّنَذِيْرًا وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٢٨

ID Translation Dan Kami tidak mengutus kamu, melainkan kepada umat manusia seluruhnya sebagai pembawa berita gembira dan sebagai pemberi peringatan, tetapi kebanyakan manusia tiada mengetahui.

EN Translation NOW [as for thee, O Muhammad,] We have not sent thee otherwise than to mankind at large, to be a herald of glad tidings and a warner; but most people do not understand [this],

وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Kapankah (datangnya) janji ini, jika kamu adalah orang-orang yang benar?".

EN Translation and so they ask, “When is this promise [of resurrection and judgment] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!”

قُلْ لَّكُمْ مِّيْعَادُ يَوْمٍ لَّا تَسْتَأْخِرُوْنَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةً وَّلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُوْنَ ٣٠

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Bagimu ada hari yang telah dijanjikan (hari kiamat) yang tiada dapat kamu minta mundur daripadanya barang sesaatpun dan tidak (pula) kamu dapat meminta supaya diajukan".

EN Translation Say: “There has been appointed for you a Day, which you can neither delay nor advance by a single moment.”

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَنْ نُّؤْمِنَ بِهٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ وَلَا بِالَّذِيْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِۗ وَلَوْ تَرٰىٓ اِذِ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ مَوْقُوْفُوْنَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۖ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ اِلٰى بَعْضِ ِۨالْقَوْلَۚ يَقُوْلُ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا لَوْلَآ اَنْتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٣١

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir berkata: "Kami sekali-kali tidak akan beriman kepada Al Quran ini dan tidak (pula) kepada kitab yang sebelumnya". Dan (alangkah hebatnya) kalau kamu lihat ketika orang-orang yang zalim itu dihadapkan kepada Tuhannya, sebahagian dari mereka menghadap kan perkataan kepada sebagian yang lain; orang-orang yang dianggap lemah berkata kepada orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri: "Kalau tidaklah karena kamu tentulah kami menjadi orang-orang yang beriman".

EN Translation And [yet,] those who are bent on denying the truth do say, “We shall never believe in this Qur’an, and neither in whatever there still remains of earlier revelations!” But if thou couldst only see [how it will be on Judgment Day,] when these evildoers shall be made to stand before their Sustainer, hurling reproaches back and forth at one another! Those [of them] who had been weak [on earth] will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance: “Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers!”

قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْٓا اَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنٰكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدٰى بَعْدَ اِذْ جَاۤءَكُمْ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ مُّجْرِمِيْنَ ٣٢

ID Translation Orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri berkata kepada orang-orang yang dianggap lemah: "Kamikah yang telah menghalangi kamu dari petunjuk sesudah petunjuk itu datang kepadamu? (Tidak), sebenarnya kamu sendirilah orang-orang yang berdosa".

EN Translation [And] those who were wont to glory in their arrogance will say unto those who had been weak: “Why - did we keep you [forcibly] from following the right path after it had become obvious to you? Nay, it was but you [yourselves] who were guilty!”

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا بَلْ مَكْرُ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ اِذْ تَأْمُرُوْنَنَآ اَنْ نَّكْفُرَ بِاللّٰهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهٗٓ اَنْدَادًا ۗوَاَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَاَوُا الْعَذَابَۗ وَجَعَلْنَا الْاَغْلٰلَ فِيْٓ اَعْنَاقِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٣٣

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang dianggap lemah berkata kepada orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri: "(Tidak) sebenarnya tipu daya(mu) di waktu malam dan siang (yang menghalangi kami), ketika kamu menyeru kami supaya kami kafir kepada Allah dan menjadikan sekutu-sekutu bagi-Nya". Kedua belah pihak menyatakan penyesalan tatkala mereka melihat azab. Dan kami pasang belenggu di leher orang-orang yang kafir. Mereka tidak dibalas melainkan dengan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation But those who had been weak will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance: “Nay, [what kept us away was your] devising of false arguments, night and day, [against God’s messages- as you did] when you persuaded us to blaspheme against God and to claim that there are powers that could rival Him!” And when they see the suffering [that awaits them], they will [all] be unable to express [the full depth of] their remorse: for We shall have put shackles around the necks of those who had been bent on denying the truth: [and] will this be aught but a [just] requital for what they were doing?

وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا فِيْ قَرْيَةٍ مِّنْ نَّذِيْرٍ ِالَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوْهَآ ۙاِنَّا بِمَآ اُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوْنَ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan Kami tidak mengutus kepada suatu negeri seorang pemberi peringatanpun, melainkan orang-orang yang hidup mewah di negeri itu berkata: "Sesungguhnya kami mengingkari apa yang kamu diutus untuk menyampaikannya".

EN Translation For [thus it is:] whenever We sent a warner to any community, those of its people who had lost themselves entirely in the pursuit of pleasures would declare, “Behold, we deny that there is any truth in [what you claim to be] your message!” –

وَقَالُوْا نَحْنُ اَكْثَرُ اَمْوَالًا وَّاَوْلَادًاۙ وَّمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِيْنَ ٣٥

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Kami lebih banyak mempunyai harta dan anak-anak (daripada kamu) dan kami sekali-kali tidak akan diazab.

EN Translation and they would add, “Richer [than you] are we in wealth and in children, and [so] we are not going to be made to suffer!”

قُلْ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَقْدِرُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya Tuhanku melapangkan rezeki bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan menyempitkan (bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya). akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui".

EN Translation Say: “Behold, my Sustainer grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills: but most men do not understand [God’s ways].”

وَمَآ اَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَآ اَوْلَادُكُمْ بِالَّتِيْ تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِنْدَنَا زُلْفٰىٓ اِلَّا مَنْ اٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًاۙ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ جَزَاۤءُ الضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوْا وَهُمْ فِى الْغُرُفٰتِ اٰمِنُوْنَ ٣٧

ID Translation Dan sekali-kali bukanlah harta dan bukan (pula) anak-anak kamu yang mendekatkan kamu kepada Kami sedikitpun; tetapi orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal-amal (saleh, mereka itulah yang memperoleh balasan yang berlipat ganda disebabkan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan; dan mereka aman sentosa di tempat-tempat yang tinggi (dalam surga).

EN Translation For, it is neither your riches nor your children that can bring you nearer to Us: only he who attains to faith and does what is right and just [comes near unto Us]; and it is [such as] these whom multiple recompense awaits for all that they have done; and it is they who shall dwell secure in the mansions [of paradise] –

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَسْعَوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِنَا مُعٰجِزِيْنَ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ فِى الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُوْنَ ٣٨

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang berusaha (menentang) ayat-ayat Kami dengan anggapan untuk dapat melemahkan (menggagalkan azab Kami), mereka itu dimasukkan ke dalam azab.

EN Translation whereas all who strive against Our messages, seeking to defeat their purpose, shall be given over to suffering.

قُلْ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهٗ ۗوَمَآ اَنْفَقْتُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهٗ ۚوَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرّٰزِقِيْنَ ٣٩

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya Tuhanku melapangkan rezeki bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya di antara hamba-hamba-Nya dan menyempitkan bagi (siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya)". Dan barang apa saja yang kamu nafkahkan, maka Allah akan menggantinya dan Dialah Pemberi rezeki yang sebaik-baiknya.

EN Translation Say: “Behold, my Sustainer grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills of His servants; and whatever it be that you spend on others, He [always] replaces it: for He is the best of providers.”

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًا ثُمَّ يَقُوْلُ لِلْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ اَهٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ اِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوْا يَعْبُدُوْنَ ٤٠

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) hari (yang di waktu itu) Allah mengumpulkan mereka semuanya kemudian Allah berfirman kepada malaikat: "Apakah mereka ini dahulu menyembah kamu?".

EN Translation And [as for those who now deny the truth,] one Day He will gather them all together, and will ask the angels, “Was it you that they were wont to worship?”

قَالُوْا سُبْحٰنَكَ اَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِنْ دُوْنِهِمْ ۚبَلْ كَانُوْا يَعْبُدُوْنَ الْجِنَّ اَكْثَرُهُمْ بِهِمْ مُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٤١

ID Translation Malaikat-malaikat itu menjawab: "Maha Suci Engkau. Engkaulah pelindung kami, bukan mereka; bahkan mereka telah menyembah jin; kebanyakan mereka beriman kepada jin itu".

EN Translation They will answer: “Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! Thou [alone] art close unto us, not they! Nay, [when they thought that they were worshipping us,] they were but [blindly] worshipping forces concealed from their senses; most of them believed in them.”

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ نَّفْعًا وَّلَا ضَرًّا ۗوَنَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّتِيْ كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ ٤٢

ID Translation Maka pada hari ini sebahagian kamu tidak berkuasa (untuk memberikan) kemanfaatan dan tidak pula kemudharatan kepada sebahagian yang lain. Dan Kami katakan kepada orang-orang yang zalim: "Rasakanlah olehmu azab neraka yang dahulunya kamu dustakan itu".

EN Translation And [on that Day God will say]: “None of you [created beings] has today any power to benefit or to harm another!” And [then] We shall say unto those who had been bent on evildoing: “Taste [now] that suffering through fire which you were wont to call a lie!”

وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ قَالُوْا مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُّرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ اٰبَاۤؤُكُمْ ۚوَقَالُوْا مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًىۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْۙ اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٤٣

ID Translation Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami yang terang, mereka berkata: "Orang ini tiada lain hanyalah seorang laki-laki yang ingin menghalangi kamu dari apa yang disembah oleh bapak-bapakmu", dan mereka berkata: "(Al Quran) ini tidak lain hanyalah kebohongan yang diada-adakan saja". Dan orang-orang kafir berkata terhadap kebenaran tatkala kebenaran itu datang kepada mereka: "Ini tidak lain hanyalah sihir yang nyata".

EN Translation For [thus it is:] whenever Our messages are conveyed unto them in all their clarity, they [who are bent on denying the truth] say [to one another], “This [Muhammad] is nothing but a man who wants to turn you away from what your forefathers were wont to worship!” And they say, “This [Qur’an] is nothing but a falsehood invented [by man]!” And [finally,] they who are bent on denying the truth speak thus of the truth when it comes to them: “This is clearly nothing but spellbinding eloquence!”

وَمَآ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْ مِّنْ كُتُبٍ يَّدْرُسُوْنَهَا وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلَيْهِمْ قَبْلَكَ مِنْ نَّذِيْرٍۗ ٤٤

ID Translation Dan Kami tidak pernah memberikan kepada mereka kitab-kitab yang mereka baca dan sekali-kali tidak pernah (pula) mengutus kepada mereka sebelum kamu seorang pemberi peringatanpun.

EN Translation And yet, [O Muhammad,] never have We vouchsafed them any revelations which they could quote, and neither have We sent unto them any warner before thee.

وَكَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۙ وَمَا بَلَغُوْا مِعْشَارَ مَآ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوْا رُسُلِيْۗ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ ٤٥

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka telah mendustakan sedang orang-orang kafir Mekah itu belum sampai menerima sepersepuluh dari apa yang telah Kami berikan kepada orang-orang dahulu itu lalu mereka mendustakan rasul-rasul-Ku. Maka alangkah hebatnya akibat kemurkaan-Ku.

EN Translation Thus, too, gave the lie to the truth [many of] those who lived before them; and although those [earlier people] had not attained to even a tenth of [the evidence of the truth] which We have vouch­safed unto these [late successors of theirs], yet when they gave the lie to My apostles, how awesome was My rejection!

۞ قُلْ اِنَّمَآ اَعِظُكُمْ بِوَاحِدَةٍۚ اَنْ تَقُوْمُوْا لِلّٰهِ مَثْنٰى وَفُرَادٰى ثُمَّ تَتَفَكَّرُوْاۗ مَا بِصَاحِبِكُمْ مِّنْ جِنَّةٍۗ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا نَذِيْرٌ لَّكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيْدٍ ٤٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya aku hendak memperingatkan kepadamu suatu hal saja, yaitu supaya kamu menghadap Allah (dengan ikhlas) berdua-dua atau sendiri-sendiri; kemudian kamu fikirkan (tentang Muhammad) tidak ada penyakit gila sedikitpun pada kawanmu itu. Dia tidak lain hanyalah pemberi peringatan bagi kamu sebelum (menghadapi) azab yang keras.

EN Translation Say: “I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever­ conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this pro­phet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come.”

قُلْ مَا سَاَلْتُكُمْ مِّنْ اَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْۗ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيْدٌ ٤٧

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Upah apapun yang aku minta kepadamu, maka itu untuk kamu. Upahku hanyalah dari Allah, dan Dia Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu".

EN Translation Say: “No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!”

قُلْ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّۚ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوْبِ ٤٨

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya Tuhanku mewahyukan kebenaran. Dia Maha Mengetahui segala yang ghaib".

EN Translation Say: “Verily, my Sustainer hurls the truth [against all that is false] He who fully knows all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being’s perception!”

قُلْ جَاۤءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيْدُ ٤٩

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Kebenaran telah datang dan yang batil itu tidak akan memulai dan tidak (pula) akan mengulangi".

EN Translation Say: “The truth has now come [to light, and falsehood is bound to wither away]: for, falsehood cannot bring forth anything new, nor can it bring back [what has passed away].”

قُلْ اِنْ ضَلَلْتُ فَاِنَّمَآ اَضِلُّ عَلٰى نَفْسِيْۚ وَاِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوْحِيْٓ اِلَيَّ رَبِّيْۗ اِنَّهٗ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ ٥٠

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Jika aku sesat maka sesungguhnya aku sesat atas kemudharatan diriku sendiri; dan jika aku mendapat petunjuk maka itu adalah disebabkan apa yang diwahyukan Tuhanku kepadaku. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Dekat".

EN Translation Say: “Were I to go astray, I would but go astray [due to my own self, and] to the hurt of myself; but if I am on the right path, it is but by virtue of what my Sustainer reveals unto me: for, verily, He is all-hearing, ever-near!”

وَلَوْ تَرٰىٓ اِذْ فَزِعُوْا فَلَا فَوْتَ وَاُخِذُوْا مِنْ مَّكَانٍ قَرِيْبٍۙ ٥١

ID Translation Dan (alangkah hebatnya) jikalau kamu melihat ketika mereka (orang-orang kafir) terperanjat ketakutan (pada hari kiamat); maka mereka tidak dapat melepaskan diri dan mereka ditangkap dari tempat yang dekat (untuk dibawa ke neraka),

EN Translation IF THOU couldst but see [how the deniers of the truth will fare on Resurrection Day,] when they will shrink in terror, with nowhere to escape - since they will have been seized from so close nearby

وَّقَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِهٖۚ وَاَنّٰى لَهُمُ التَّنَاوُشُ مِنْ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيْدٍۚ ٥٢

ID Translation dan (di waktu itu) mereka berkata: "Kami beriman kepada Allah", bagaimanakah mereka dapat mencapai (keimanan) dari tempat yang jauh itu.

EN Translation and will cry, “We do [now] believe in it!” But how can they [hope to] attain [to salvation] from so far away,

وَقَدْ كَفَرُوْا بِهٖ مِنْ قَبْلُۚ وَيَقْذِفُوْنَ بِالْغَيْبِ مِنْ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيْدٍۚ ٥٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya mereka telah mengingkari Allah sebelum itu; dan mereka menduga-duga tentang yang ghaib dari tempat yang jauh.

EN Translation seeing that aforetime they had been bent on denying the truth, and had been wont to cast scorn, from far away, on something that was beyond the reach of human perception?

وَحِيْلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُوْنَۙ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِاَشْيَاعِهِمْ مِّنْ قَبْلُۗ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا فِيْ شَكٍّ مُّرِيْبٍ ٥٤

ID Translation Dan dihalangi antara mereka dengan apa yang mereka ingini sebagaimana yang dilakukan terhadap orang-orang yang serupa dengan mereka pada masa dahulu. Sesungguhnya mereka dahulu (di dunia) dalam keraguan yang mendalam.

EN Translation And so, a barrier will be set between them and all that they had [ever] desired, as will be done to such of their kind as lived before their time: for, behold, they [too] were lost in doubt amounting to suspicion.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ رُسُلًاۙ اُولِيْٓ اَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنٰى وَثُلٰثَ وَرُبٰعَۗ يَزِيْدُ فِى الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاۤءُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ١

ID Translation Segala puji bagi Allah Pencipta langit dan bumi, Yang menjadikan malaikat sebagai utusan-utusan (untuk mengurus berbagai macam urusan) yang mempunyai sayap, masing-masing (ada yang) dua, tiga dan empat. Allah menambahkan pada ciptaan-Nya apa yang dikehendaki-Nya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.

EN Translation ALL PRAISE is due to God, Originator of the heavens and the earth, who causes the angels to be (His) message-bearers, endowed with wings, two, or three, or four. [Unceasingly] He adds to His creation whatever He wills: for, verily, God has the power to will anything.

مَا يَفْتَحِ اللّٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَّحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا ۚوَمَا يُمْسِكْۙ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهٗ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٢

ID Translation Apa saja yang Allah anugerahkan kepada manusia berupa rahmat, maka tidak ada seorangpun yang dapat menahannya; dan apa saja yang ditahan oleh Allah maka tidak seorangpun yang sanggup melepaskannya sesudah itu. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation Whatever grace God opens up to man, none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds, none can henceforth release: for He alone is almighty, truly wise.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْۗ هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللّٰهِ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۖ فَاَنّٰى تُؤْفَكُوْنَ ٣

ID Translation Hai manusia, ingatlah akan nikmat Allah kepadamu. Adakah pencipta selain Allah yang dapat memberikan rezeki kepada kamu dari langit dan bumi? Tidak ada Tuhan selain Dia; maka mengapakah kamu berpaling (dari ketauhidan)?

EN Translation O men! Call to mind the blessings which God has bestowed upon you! Is there any creator, other than God, that could provide for you sustenance out of heaven and earth? There is no deity save Him: and yet, how perverted are your minds!

وَاِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَۗ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُوْرُ ٤

ID Translation Dan jika mereka mendustakan kamu (sesudah kamu beri peringatan) maka sungguh telah didustakan pula rasul-rasul sebelum kamu. Dan hanya kepada Allahlah dikembalikan segala urusan.

EN Translation But if they [whose minds are perverted] give thee the lie, [O Prophet, remember that] even so, before thy time, have [other] apostles been given the lie: for [the unbelievers always refuse to admit that] all things go back to God [as their source].

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَاۗ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللّٰهِ الْغَرُوْرُ ٥

ID Translation Hai manusia, sesungguhnya janji Allah adalah benar, maka sekali-kali janganlah kehidupan dunia memperdayakan kamu dan sekali-kali janganlah syaitan yang pandai menipu, memperdayakan kamu tentang Allah.

EN Translation O men! Verily, God’s promise [of resurrection] is true indeed: let not, then, the life of this world delude you, and let not [your own] deceptive thoughts about God delude you!

اِنَّ الشَّيْطٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوْهُ عَدُوًّاۗ اِنَّمَا يَدْعُوْا حِزْبَهٗ لِيَكُوْنُوْا مِنْ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِۗ ٦

ID Translation Sesungguhnya syaitan itu adalah musuh bagimu, maka anggaplah ia musuh(mu), karena sesungguhnya syaitan-syaitan itu hanya mengajak golongannya supaya mereka menjadi penghuni neraka yang menyala-nyala

EN Translation Behold, Satan is a foe unto you: so treat him as a foe. He but calls on his followers to the end that they might find themselves among such as are des­tined for the blazing flame –

اَلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ ەۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّاَجْرٌ كَبِيْرٌ ٧

ID Translation Orang-orang yang kafir bagi mereka azab yang keras. Dan orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal saleh bagi mereka ampunan dan pahala yang besar.

EN Translation [seeing that] for those who are bent on denying the truth there is suffering severe in store, just as for those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds there is forgiveness of sins, and a great reward.

اَفَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَهٗ سُوْۤءُ عَمَلِهٖ فَرَاٰهُ حَسَنًاۗ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَهْدِيْ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۖ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرٰتٍۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِمَا يَصْنَعُوْنَ ٨

ID Translation Maka apakah orang yang dijadikan (syaitan) menganggap baik pekerjaannya yang buruk lalu dia meyakini pekerjaan itu baik, (sama dengan orang yang tidak ditipu oleh syaitan)? Maka sesungguhnya Allah menyesatkan siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan menunjuki siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya; maka janganlah dirimu binasa karena kesedihan terhadap mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka perbuat.

EN Translation Is, then, he to whom the evil of his own doings is [so] alluring that [in the end] he regards it as good [anything but a follower of Satan]? For, verily, God lets go astray him that wills [to go astray], just as He guides him that wills [to be guided]. Hence, [O believer,] do not waste thyself in sorrowing over them: verily, God has full knowledge of all that they do!

وَاللّٰهُ الَّذِيْٓ اَرْسَلَ الرِّيٰحَ فَتُثِيْرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنٰهُ اِلٰى بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَاَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ كَذٰلِكَ النُّشُوْرُ ٩

ID Translation Dan Allah, Dialah Yang mengirimkan angin; lalu angin itu menggerakkan awan, maka Kami halau awan itu kesuatu negeri yang mati lalu Kami hidupkan bumi setelah matinya dengan hujan itu. Demikianlah kebangkitan itu.

EN Translation AND [remember:] it is God who sends forth the winds, so that they raise a cloud, whereupon We drive it towards dead land and thereby give life to the earth after it had been lifeless: even thus shall resur­rection be!

مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيْدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلّٰهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيْعًاۗ اِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهٗ ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ يَمْكُرُوْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ ۗوَمَكْرُ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُوَ يَبُوْرُ ١٠

ID Translation Barangsiapa yang menghendaki kemuliaan, maka bagi Allah-lah kemuliaan itu semuanya. Kepada-Nya-lah naik perkataan-perkataan yang baik dan amal yang saleh dinaikkan-Nya. Dan orang-orang yang merencanakan kejahatan bagi mereka azab yang keras. Dan rencana jahat mereka akan hancur.

EN Translation He who desires might and glory [ought to know that] all might and glory belong to God [alone]. Unto Him ascend all good words, and the righteous deed does He exalt. But as for those who cunningly devise evil deeds - suffering severe awaits them; and all their devising is bound to come to nought.

وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ اَزْوَاجًاۗ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ اُنْثٰى وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلْمِهٖۗ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُّعَمَّرٍ وَّلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهٖٓ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرٌ ١١

ID Translation Dan Allah menciptakan kamu dari tanah kemudian dari air mani, kemudian Dia menjadikan kamu berpasangan (laki-laki dan perempuan). Dan tidak ada seorang perempuanpun mengandung dan tidak (pula) melahirkan melainkan dengan sepengetahuan-Nya. Dan sekali-kali tidak dipanjangkan umur seorang yang berumur panjang dan tidak pula dikurangi umurnya, melainkan (sudah ditetapkan) dalam Kitab (Lauh Mahfuzh). Sesungguhnya yang demikian itu bagi Allah adalah mudah.

EN Translation And [remember:] God creates [every one of] you out of dust, then out of a drop of sperm; and then He fashions you into either of the two sexes. And no female conceives or gives birth unless it be with His knowledge; and none that is long-lived has his days lengthened - and neither is aught lessened of his days - unless it be thus laid down in [God’s] decree: for, behold, all this is easy for God.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْبَحْرٰنِۖ هٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَاۤىِٕغٌ شَرَابُهٗ وَهٰذَا مِلْحٌ اُجَاجٌۗ وَمِنْ كُلٍّ تَأْكُلُوْنَ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَّتَسْتَخْرِجُوْنَ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُوْنَهَا ۚوَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيْهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ١٢

ID Translation Dan tiada sama (antara) dua laut; yang ini tawar, segar, sedap diminum dan yang lain asin lagi pahit. Dan dari masing-masing laut itu kamu dapat memakan daging yang segar dan kamu dapat mengeluarkan perhiasan yang dapat kamu memakainya, dan pada masing-masingnya kamu lihat kapal-kapal berlayar membelah laut supaya kamu dapat mencari karunia-Nya dan supaya kamu bersyukur.

EN Translation [Easy is it for Him to create likeness and variety:] thus, the two great bodies of water [on earth] are not alike the one sweet, thirst-allaying, pleasant to drink, and the other salty and bitter: and yet, from either of them do you eat fresh meat, and [from either] you take gems which you may wear; and on either thou canst see ships ploughing through the waves, so that you might [be able to] go forth in quest of some of His bounty, and thus have cause to be grateful.

يُوْلِجُ الَّيْلَ فِى النَّهَارِ وَيُوْلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِى الَّيْلِۚ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَّجْرِيْ لِاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ مَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْ قِطْمِيْرٍۗ ١٣

ID Translation Dia memasukkan malam ke dalam siang dan memasukkan siang ke dalam malam dan menundukkan matahari dan bulan, masing-masing berjalan menurut waktu yang ditentukan. Yang (berbuat) demikian itulah Allah Tuhanmu, kepunyaan-Nya-lah kerajaan. Dan orang-orang yang kamu seru (sembah) selain Allah tiada mempunyai apa-apa walaupun setipis kulit ari.

EN Translation He makes the night grow longer by shortening the day, and He makes the day grow longer by shortening the night; and He has made the sun and the moon subservient [to His laws], each running its course for a term set [by Him]. Thus is God, your Sustainer: unto Him belongs all dominion - whereas those whom you invoke instead of Him do not own so much as the husk of a date-stone!

اِنْ تَدْعُوْهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوْا دُعَاۤءَكُمْۚ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوْا مَا اسْتَجَابُوْا لَكُمْۗ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِشِرْكِكُمْۗ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيْرٍ ١٤

ID Translation Jika kamu menyeru mereka, mereka tiada mendengar seruanmu; dan kalau mereka mendengar, mereka tidak dapat memperkenankan permintaanmu. Dan dihari kiamat mereka akan mengingkari kemusyirikanmu dan tidak ada yang dapat memberi keterangan kepadamu sebagai yang diberikan oleh Yang Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation If you invoke them, they do not hear your call; and even if they could hear, they would not [be able to] respond to you. And [withal,] on the Day of Resurrection they will utterly disown your having associated them with God. And none can make thee understand [the truth] like the One who is all-aware.

۞ يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاۤءُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَاللّٰهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيْدُ ١٥

ID Translation Hai manusia, kamulah yang berkehendak kepada Allah; dan Allah Dialah Yang Maha Kaya (tidak memerlukan sesuatu) lagi Maha Terpuji.

EN Translation O men! It is you, who stand in need of God, whereas He alone is self-sufficient, the One to whom all praise is due.

اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍۚ ١٦

ID Translation Jika Dia menghendaki, niscaya Dia memusnahkan kamu dan mendatangkan makhluk yang baru (untuk menggantikan kamu).

EN Translation If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]:

وَمَا ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ بِعَزِيْزٍ ١٧

ID Translation Dan yang demikian itu sekali-kali tidak sulit bagi Allah.

EN Translation nor is this difficult for God.

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِّزْرَ اُخْرٰى ۗوَاِنْ تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ اِلٰى حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَّلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰىۗ اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ ۗوَمَنْ تَزَكّٰى فَاِنَّمَا يَتَزَكّٰى لِنَفْسِهٖ ۗوَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الْمَصِيْرُ ١٨

ID Translation Dan orang yang berdosa tidak akan memikul dosa orang lain. Dan jika seseorang yang berat dosanya memanggil (orang lain) untuk memikul dosanya itu tiadalah akan dipikulkan untuknya sedikitpun meskipun (yang dipanggilnya itu) kaum kerabatnya. Sesungguhnya yang dapat kamu beri peringatan hanya orang-orang yang takut kepada azab Tuhannya (sekalipun) mereka tidak melihat-Nya dan mereka mendirikan sembahyang. Dan barangsiapa yang mensucikan dirinya, sesungguhnya ia mensucikan diri untuk kebaikan dirinya sendiri. Dan kepada Allahlah kembali(mu).

EN Translation AND NO BEARER of burdens shall be made to bear another’s burden; and if one weighed down by his load calls upon [another] to help him carry it, nothing thereof may be carried [by that other], even if it be one’s near of kin. Hence, thou canst [truly] warn only those who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of their perception, and are constant in prayer, and [know that] whoever grows in purity, attains to purity but for the good of his own self, and [that] with God is all journeys’ end.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُ ۙ ١٩

ID Translation Dan tidaklah sama orang yang buta dengan orang yang melihat.

EN Translation For [thus it is:] the blind and the seeing are not equal;

وَلَا الظُّلُمٰتُ وَلَا النُّوْرُۙ ٢٠

ID Translation dan tidak (pula) sama gelap gulita dengan cahaya,

EN Translation nor are the depths of darkness and the light;

وَلَا الظِّلُّ وَلَا الْحَرُوْرُۚ ٢١

ID Translation dan tidak (pula) sama yang teduh dengan yang panas,

EN Translation nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat:

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَحْيَاۤءُ وَلَا الْاَمْوَاتُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُسْمِعُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۚوَمَآ اَنْتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّنْ فِى الْقُبُوْرِ ٢٢

ID Translation dan tidak (pula) sama orang-orang yang hidup dan orang-orang yang mati. Sesungguhnya Allah memberi pendengaran kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan kamu sekali-kali tiada sanggup menjadikan orang yang didalam kubur dapat mendengar.

EN Translation and neither are equal the living and the dead [of heart]. Behold, [O Muhammad,] God can make hear whomever He wills, whereas thou canst not make hear such as are [dead of heart like the dead] in their graves:

اِنْ اَنْتَ اِلَّا نَذِيْرٌ ٢٣

ID Translation Kamu tidak lain hanyalah seorang pemberi peringatan.

EN Translation thou art nothing but a warner.

اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيْرًا وَّنَذِيْرًا ۗوَاِنْ مِّنْ اُمَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا فِيْهَا نَذِيْرٌ ٢٤

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami mengutus kamu dengan membawa kebenaran sebagai pembawa berita gembira dan sebagai pemberi peringatan. Dan tidak ada suatu umatpun melainkan telah ada padanya seorang pemberi peringatan.

EN Translation Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst.

وَاِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚجَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالْكِتٰبِ الْمُنِيْرِ ٢٥

ID Translation Dan jika mereka mendustakan kamu, maka sesungguhnya orang-orang yang sebelum mereka telah mendustakan (rasul-rasulnya); kepada mereka telah datang rasul-rasulnya dengan membawa mukjizat yang nyata, zubur, dan kitab yang memberi penjelasan yang sempurna.

EN Translation And if they give thee the lie - even so gave the lie to the truth [many of] those who lived before their time, [when] there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, and with books of divine wisdom, and with light-giving revelation;

ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ ٢٦

ID Translation Kemudian Aku azab orang-orang yang kafir; maka (lihatlah) bagaimana (hebatnya) akibat kemurkaan-Ku.

EN Translation [but] in the end I took to task all those who were bent on denying the truth: and how awesome was My rejection!

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ اَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءًۚ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِهٖ ثَمَرٰتٍ مُّخْتَلِفًا اَلْوَانُهَا ۗوَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ ۢبِيْضٌ وَّحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيْبُ سُوْدٌ ٢٧

ID Translation Tidakkah kamu melihat bahwasanya Allah menurunkan hujan dari langit lalu Kami hasilkan dengan hujan itu buah-buahan yang beraneka macam jenisnya. Dan di antara gunung-gunung itu ada garis-garis putih dan merah yang beraneka macam warnanya dan ada (pula) yang hitam pekat.

EN Translation ART THOU NOT aware that God sends down water from the skies, whereby We bring forth fruits of many hues - just as in the mountains there are streaks of white and red of various shades, as well as (others) raven-black,

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَاۤبِّ وَالْاَنْعَامِ مُخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَانُهٗ كَذٰلِكَۗ اِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللّٰهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمٰۤؤُاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ غَفُوْرٌ ٢٨

ID Translation Dan demikian (pula) di antara manusia, binatang-binatang melata dan binatang-binatang ternak ada yang bermacam-macam warnanya (dan jenisnya). Sesungguhnya yang takut kepada Allah di antara hamba-hamba-Nya, hanyalah ulama. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Pengampun.

EN Translation and (as) there are in men, and in crawling beasts, and in cattle, too, many hues? Of all His servants, only such as are endowed with [innate] knowledge stand [truly] in awe of God: [for they alone comprehend that,] verily, God is almighty, much-forgiving.

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَتْلُوْنَ كِتٰبَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاَنْفَقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ سِرًّا وَّعَلَانِيَةً يَّرْجُوْنَ تِجَارَةً لَّنْ تَبُوْرَۙ ٢٩

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang selalu membaca kitab Allah dan mendirikan shalat dan menafkahkan sebahagian dari rezeki yang Kami anugerahkan kepada mereka dengan diam-diam dan terang-terangan, mereka itu mengharapkan perniagaan yang tidak akan merugi,

EN Translation (It is) they who [truly] follow God’s revelation, and are constant in prayer, and spend on others, secretly and openly, out of what We provide for them as sustenance - it is they who may look forward to a bargain that can never fail,

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ وَيَزِيْدَهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ غَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌ ٣٠

ID Translation agar Allah menyempurnakan kepada mereka pahala mereka dan menambah kepada mereka dari karunia-Nya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Mensyukuri.

EN Translation since He will grant them their just rewards, and give them yet more out of His bounty: for, verily, He is much-forgiving, ever-responsive to gratitude.

وَالَّذِيْٓ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِعِبَادِهٖ لَخَبِيْرٌۢ بَصِيْرٌ ٣١

ID Translation Dan apa yang telah Kami wahyukan kepadamu yaitu Al Kitab (Al Quran) itulah yang benar, dengan membenarkan kitab-kitab yang sebelumnya. Sesungguhnya Allah benar-benar Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Melihat (keadaan) hamba-hamba-Nya.

EN Translation And [know that] all of the divine writ with which We have inspired thee is the very truth, confirming the truth of whatever there still remains of earlier revelations for, behold, of [the needs of] His servants God is fully aware, all-seeing.

ثُمَّ اَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتٰبَ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَاۚ فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهٖ ۚوَمِنْهُمْ مُّقْتَصِدٌ ۚوَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌۢ بِالْخَيْرٰتِ بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيْرُۗ ٣٢

ID Translation Kemudian Kitab itu Kami wariskan kepada orang-orang yang Kami pilih di antara hamba-hamba Kami, lalu di antara mereka ada yang menganiaya diri mereka sendiri dan di antara mereka ada yang pertengahan dan diantara mereka ada (pula) yang lebih dahulu berbuat kebaikan dengan izin Allah. Yang demikian itu adalah karunia yang amat besar.

EN Translation And so, We have bestowed this divine writ as a heritage unto such of Our servants as We chose: and among them are some who sin against themselves; and some who keep half-way [between right and wrong]; and some who, by God’s leave, are fore­most in deeds of goodness: [and] this, indeed, is a merit most high!

جَنّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَّدْخُلُوْنَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيْهَا مِنْ اَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَّلُؤْلُؤًا ۚوَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيْهَا حَرِيْرٌ ٣٣

ID Translation (Bagi mereka) surga 'Adn mereka masuk ke dalamnya, di dalamnya mereka diberi perhiasan dengan gelang-gelang dari emas, dan dengan mutiara, dan pakaian mereka didalamnya adalah sutera.

EN Translation [Hence,] gardens of perpetual bliss will they enter, therein to be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and therein to be clad in raiments of silk;

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْٓ اَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَۗ اِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌۙ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Segala puji bagi Allah yang telah menghilangkan duka cita dari kami. Sesungguhnya Tuhan kami benar-benar Maha Pengampum lagi Maha Mensyukuri.

EN Translation and they will say: “All praise is due to God, who has caused all sorrow to leave us: for, verily, our Sustainer is indeed much-forgiving, ever-responsive to gratitude –

ۨالَّذِيْٓ اَحَلَّنَا دَارَ الْمُقَامَةِ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۚ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيْهَا نَصَبٌ وَّلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيْهَا لُغُوْبٌ ٣٥

ID Translation Yang menempatkan kami dalam tempat yang kekal (surga) dari karunia-Nya; didalamnya kami tiada merasa lelah dan tiada pula merasa lesu".

EN Translation He who, out of His bounty, has made us alight in this abode of life enduring, wherein no struggle can assail us, and wherein no weariness can touch us!”

وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَۚ لَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوْتُوْا وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ مِّنْ عَذَابِهَاۗ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِيْ كُلَّ كَفُوْرٍ ۚ ٣٦

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir bagi mereka neraka Jahannam. Mereka tidak dibinasakan sehingga mereka mati dan tidak (pula) diringankan dari mereka azabnya. Demikianlah Kami membalas setiap orang yang sangat kafir.

EN Translation But as for those who are bent on denying the truth - the fire of hell awaits them: no end shall be put to their lives so that they could die, nor shall aught of the suffering caused by that [fire] be lightened for them: thus shall We requite all who are bereft of gratitude.

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُوْنَ فِيْهَاۚ رَبَّنَآ اَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ كُنَّا نَعْمَلُۗ اَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُمْ مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيْهِ مَنْ تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاۤءَكُمُ النَّذِيْرُۗ فَذُوْقُوْا فَمَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ مِنْ نَّصِيْرٍ ٣٧

ID Translation Dan mereka berteriak di dalam neraka itu: "Ya Tuhan kami, keluarkanlah kami niscaya kami akan mengerjakan amal yang saleh berlainan dengan yang telah kami kerjakan". Dan apakah Kami tidak memanjangkan umurmu dalam masa yang cukup untuk berfikir bagi orang yang mau berfikir, dan (apakah tidak) datang kepada kamu pemberi peringatan? maka rasakanlah (azab Kami) dan tidak ada bagi orang-orang yang zalim seorang penolongpun.

EN Translation And in that [hell] they will cry aloud: “O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out [of this suffering]! We shall [henceforth] do good deeds, not such as we were wont to do [aforetime]!” [But We shall answer:] “Did We not grant you a life long enough so that whoever was willing to take thought could bethink himself? And [withal,] a war­ner had come unto you! Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil deeds]: for evildoers shall have none to succour them!”

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَالِمُ غَيْبِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ ٣٨

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah mengetahui yang tersembunyi di langit dan di bumi. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Mengetahui segala isi hati.

EN Translation Verily, God knows the hidden reality of the heavens and the earth: [and,] behold, He has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men].

هُوَ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَكُمْ خَلٰۤىِٕفَ فِى الْاَرْضِۗ فَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهٗۗ وَلَا يَزِيْدُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا مَقْتًا ۚوَلَا يَزِيْدُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ كُفْرُهُمْ اِلَّا خَسَارًا ٣٩

ID Translation Dialah yang menjadikan kamu khalifah-khalifah di muka bumi. Barangsiapa yang kafir, maka (akibat) kekafirannya menimpa dirinya sendiri. Dan kekafiran orang-orang yang kafir itu tidak lain hanyalah akan menambah kemurkaan pada sisi Tuhannya dan kekafiran orang-orang yang kafir itu tidak lain hanyalah akan menambah kerugian mereka belaka.

EN Translation He it is who has made you inherit the earth. Hence, he who is bent on denying the truth [of God’s oneness and uniqueness ought to know that] this denial of his will fall back upon him: for their [per­sistent] denial of this truth does but add to the deniers’ loathsomeness in their Sustainer’s sight and, thus, their denial of this truth does but add to the deniers’ loss.

قُلْ اَرَاَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاۤءَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗاَرُوْنِيْ مَاذَا خَلَقُوْا مِنَ الْاَرْضِ اَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِۚ اَمْ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْ كِتٰبًا فَهُمْ عَلٰى بَيِّنَتٍ مِّنْهُۚ بَلْ اِنْ يَّعِدُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا اِلَّا غُرُوْرًا ٤٠

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Terangkanlah kepada-Ku tentang sekutu-sekutumu yang kamu seru selain Allah. Perlihatkanlah kepada-Ku (bahagian) manakah dari bumi ini yang telah mereka ciptakan ataukah mereka mempunyai saham dalam (penciptaan) langit atau adakah Kami memberi kepada mereka sebuah Kitab sehingga mereka mendapat keterangan-keterangan yang jelas daripadanya? Sebenarnya orang-orang yang zalim itu sebahagian dari mereka tidak menjanjikan kepada sebahagian yang lain, melainkan tipuan belaka".

EN Translation Say: “Have you ever [really] considered those beings and forces to whom you ascribe a share in God’s divinity, [and] whom you invoke beside God? Show me what it is that they have created on earth - or do [you claim that] they have a share in [govern­ing] the heavens?” Have We ever vouchsafed them a divine writ on which they could rely as evidence [in support of their views]? Nay, [the hope which] the evildoers hold out to one another [is] nothing but a delusion.

۞ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ اَنْ تَزُوْلَا ەۚ وَلَىِٕنْ زَالَتَآ اِنْ اَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ ۗاِنَّهٗ كَانَ حَلِيْمًا غَفُوْرًا ٤١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah menahan langit dan bumi supaya jangan lenyap; dan sungguh jika keduanya akan lenyap tidak ada seorangpun yang dapat menahan keduanya selain Allah. Sesungguhnya Dia adalah Maha Penyantun lagi Maha Pengampun.

EN Translation Verily, it is God [alone] who upholds the celestial bodies and the earth, lest they deviate [from their orbits] - for if they should ever deviate, there is none that could uphold them after He will have ceased to do so. [But,] verily, He is ever-forbearing, much-for­giving!

وَاَقْسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْ لَىِٕنْ جَاۤءَهُمْ نَذِيْرٌ لَّيَكُوْنُنَّ اَهْدٰى مِنْ اِحْدَى الْاُمَمِۚ فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ اِلَّا نُفُوْرًاۙ ٤٢

ID Translation Dan mereka bersumpah dengan nama Allah dengan sekuat-kuat sumpah; sesungguhnya jika datang kepada mereka seorang pemberi peringatan, niscaya mereka akan lebih mendapat petunjuk dari salah satu umat-umat (yang lain). Tatkala datang kepada mereka pemberi peringatan, maka kedatangannya itu tidak menambah kepada mereka, kecuali jauhnya mereka dari (kebenaran),

EN Translation As it is, they [who are averse to the truth often] swear by God with their most solemn oaths that if a warner should ever come to them, they would follow his guidance better than any of the communities [of old had followed the warner sent to them]: but now that a warner has come unto them, [his call] but increases their aversion,

ۨاسْتِكْبَارًا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِۗ وَلَا يَحِيْقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ اِلَّا بِاَهْلِهٖ ۗفَهَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَۚ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَبْدِيْلًا ەۚ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللّٰهِ تَحْوِيْلًا ٤٣

ID Translation karena kesombongan (mereka) di muka bumi dan karena rencana (mereka) yang jahat. Rencana yang jahat itu tidak akan menimpa selain orang yang merencanakannya sendiri. Tiadalah yang mereka nanti-nantikan melainkan (berlakunya) sunnah (Allah yang telah berlaku) kepada orang-orang yang terdahulu. Maka sekali-kali kamu tidak akan mendapat penggantian bagi sunnah Allah, dan sekali-kali tidak (pula) akan menemui penyimpangan bagi sunnah Allah itu.

EN Translation their arro­gant behaviour on earth, and their devising of evil [arguments against God’s messages]. Yet [in the end,] such evil scheming will engulf none but its authors: and can they expect anything but [to be made to go] the way of those [sinners] of olden times? Thus [it is]: no change wilt thou ever find in God’s way; yea, no deviation wilt thou ever find in God’s way!

اَوَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوْٓا اَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُعْجِزَهٗ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا قَدِيْرًا ٤٤

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak berjalan di muka bumi, lalu melihat bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka, sedangkan orang-orang itu adalah lebih besar kekuatannya dari mereka? Dan tiada sesuatupun yang dapat melemahkan Allah baik di langit maupun di bumi. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Kuasa.

EN Translation Have they never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time and were [so much] greater than they in power? And [do they not see that the will of] God can never be foiled by anything whatever in the heavens or on earth, since, verily, He is all-knowing, infinite in His power?

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللّٰهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوْا مَا تَرَكَ عَلٰى ظَهْرِهَا مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ وَّلٰكِنْ يُّؤَخِّرُهُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۚ فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَجَلُهُمْ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهٖ بَصِيْرًا ٤٥

ID Translation Dan kalau sekiranya Allah menyiksa manusia disebabkan usahanya, niscaya Dia tidak akan meninggalkan di atas permukaan bumi suatu mahluk yang melatapun akan tetapi Allah menangguhkan (penyiksaan) mereka, sampai waktu yang tertentu; maka apabila datang ajal mereka, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Melihat (keadaan) hamba-hamba-Nya.

EN Translation Now if God were to take men [at once] to task for whatever [wrong] they commit [on earth], He would not leave a single living creature upon its surface. However, He grants them respite for a term set [by Him]: but when their term comes to an end - then, verily, [they come to know that] God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His servants.

يٰسۤ ۚ ١

ID Translation Yaa siin

EN Translation O THOU human being!

وَالْقُرْاٰنِ الْحَكِيْمِۙ ٢

ID Translation Demi Al Quran yang penuh hikmah,

EN Translation Consider this Qur’an full of wisdom:

اِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَۙ ٣

ID Translation Sesungguhnya kamu salah seorang dari rasul-rasul,

EN Translation verily, thou art indeed one of God’s message-bearers,

عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍۗ ٤

ID Translation (yang berada) diatas jalan yang lurus,

EN Translation pursuing a straight way

تَنْزِيْلَ الْعَزِيْزِ الرَّحِيْمِۙ ٥

ID Translation (sebagai wahyu) yang diturunkan oleh Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Penyayang,

EN Translation by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace,

لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ اُنْذِرَ اٰبَاۤؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غٰفِلُوْنَ ٦

ID Translation Agar kamu memberi peringatan kepada kaum yang bapak-bapak mereka belum pernah diberi peringatan, karena itu mereka lalai.

EN Translation [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong].

لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلٰٓى اَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٧

ID Translation Sesungguhnya telah pasti berlaku perkataan (ketentuan Allah) terhadap kebanyakan mereka, kerena mereka tidak beriman.

EN Translation Indeed, the word [of God’s condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe.

اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِيْٓ اَعْنَاقِهِمْ اَغْلٰلًا فَهِيَ اِلَى الْاَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُّقْمَحُوْنَ ٨

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami telah memasang belenggu dileher mereka, lalu tangan mereka (diangkat) ke dagu, maka karena itu mereka tertengadah.

EN Translation Behold, around their necks We have put shack­les, reaching up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up;

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْۢ بَيْنِ اَيْدِيْهِمْ سَدًّا وَّمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَاَغْشَيْنٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُوْنَ ٩

ID Translation Dan Kami adakan di hadapan mereka dinding dan di belakang mereka dinding (pula), dan Kami tutup (mata) mereka sehingga mereka tidak dapat melihat.

EN Translation and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see:

وَسَوَاۤءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَاَنْذَرْتَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ١٠

ID Translation Sama saja bagi mereka apakah kamu memberi peringatan kepada mereka ataukah kamu tidak memberi peringatan kepada mereka, mereka tidak akan beriman.

EN Translation thus, it is all one to them whether thou warnest them or dost not warn them: they will not believe.

اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِۚ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَّاَجْرٍ كَرِيْمٍ ١١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya kamu hanya memberi peringatan kepada orang-orang yang mau mengikuti peringatan dan yang takut kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah walaupun dia tidak melihatnya. Maka berilah mereka kabar gembira dengan ampunan dan pahala yang mulia.

EN Translation Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God’s] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward!

اِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوْا وَاٰثَارَهُمْۗ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ اَحْصَيْنٰهُ فِيْٓ اِمَامٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ١٢

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami menghidupkan orang-orang mati dan Kami menuliskan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan dan bekas-bekas yang mereka tinggalkan. Dan segala sesuatu Kami kumpulkan dalam Kitab Induk yang nyata (Lauh Mahfuzh).

EN Translation Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear.

وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَّثَلًا اَصْحٰبَ الْقَرْيَةِۘ اِذْ جَاۤءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَۚ ١٣

ID Translation Dan buatlah bagi mereka suatu perumpamaan, yaitu penduduk suatu negeri ketika utusan-utusan datang kepada mereka.

EN Translation AND SET FORTH unto them a parable - [the story of how] the people of a township [behaved] when [Our] message-bearers came unto them.

اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوْٓا اِنَّآ اِلَيْكُمْ مُّرْسَلُوْنَ ١٤

ID Translation (yaitu) ketika Kami mengutus kepada mereka dua orang utusan, lalu mereka mendustakan keduanya; kemudian Kami kuatkan dengan (utusan) yang ketiga, maka ketiga utusan itu berkata: "Sesungguhnya kami adalah orang-orang di utus kepadamu".

EN Translation Lo! We sent unto them two [apostles], and. they gave the lie to both; and so We strengthened [the two] with a third; and thereupon they said: “Behold, we have been sent unto you [by God]!”

قَالُوْا مَآ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَاۙ وَمَآ اَنْزَلَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مِنْ شَيْءٍۙ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَكْذِبُوْنَ ١٥

ID Translation Mereka menjawab: "Kamu tidak lain hanyalah manusia seperti kami dan Allah Yang Maha Pemurah tidak menurunkan sesuatupun, kamu tidak lain hanyalah pendusta belaka".

EN Translation [The others] answered: “You are nothing but mortal men like ourselves; moreover, the Most Gracious has never bestowed aught [of revelation] from on high. You do nothing but lie!”

قَالُوْا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ اِنَّآ اِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُوْنَ ١٦

ID Translation Mereka berkata: "Tuhan kami mengetahui bahwa sesungguhnya kami adalah orang yang diutus kepada kamu".

EN Translation Said [the apostles]: “Our Sustainer knows that we have indeed been sent unto you;

وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ اِلَّا الْبَلٰغُ الْمُبِيْنُ ١٧

ID Translation Dan kewajiban kami tidak lain hanyalah menyampaikan (perintah Allah) dengan jelas".

EN Translation but we are not bound to do more than clearly deliver the mes­sage [entrusted to us].”

قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْۚ لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهُوْا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ١٨

ID Translation Mereka menjawab: "Sesungguhnya kami bernasib malang karena kamu, sesungguhnya jika kamu tidak berhenti (menyeru kami), niscaya kami akan merajam kamu dan kamu pasti akan mendapat siksa yang pedih dari kami".

EN Translation Said [the others]: “Truly, we augur evil from you! Indeed, if you desist not, we will surely stone you, and grievous suffering is bound to befall you at our hands!”

قَالُوْا طَاۤىِٕرُكُمْ مَّعَكُمْۗ اَىِٕنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْۗ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُوْنَ ١٩

ID Translation Utusan-utusan itu berkata: "Kemalangan kamu adalah karena kamu sendiri. Apakah jika kamu diberi peringatan (kamu bernasib malang)? Sebenarnya kamu adalah kaum yang melampui batas".

EN Translation [The apostles] replied: “Your destiny, good or evil, is [bound up] with yourselves! [Does it seem evil to you] if you are told to take [the truth] to heart? Nay, but you are people who have wasted their own selves!”

وَجَاۤءَ مِنْ اَقْصَا الْمَدِيْنَةِ رَجُلٌ يَّسْعٰى قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِيْنَۙ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan datanglah dari ujung kota, seorang laki-laki dengan bergegas-gegas ia berkata: "Hai kaumku, ikutilah utusan-utusan itu".

EN Translation At that, a man came running from the farthest end of the city, [and] exclaimed: “O my people! Follow these message-bearers!

اتَّبِعُوْا مَنْ لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ اَجْرًا وَّهُمْ مُّهْتَدُوْنَ ۔ ٢١

ID Translation Ikutilah orang yang tiada minta balasan kepadamu; dan mereka adalah orang-orang yang mendapat petunjuk.

EN Translation Follow those who ask no reward of you, and themselves are rightly guided!

وَمَا لِيَ لَآ اَعْبُدُ الَّذِيْ فَطَرَنِيْ وَاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٢٢

ID Translation Mengapa aku tidak menyembah (Tuhan) yang telah menciptakanku dan yang hanya kepada-Nya-lah kamu (semua) akan dikembalikan?

EN Translation “[As for me,] why should I not worship Him who has brought me into being, and to whom you all will be brought back?

ءَاَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖٓ اٰلِهَةً اِنْ يُّرِدْنِ الرَّحْمٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّيْ شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يُنْقِذُوْنِۚ ٢٣

ID Translation Mengapa aku akan menyembah tuhan-tuhan selain-Nya jika (Allah) Yang Maha Pemurah menghendaki kemudharatan terhadapku, niscaya syafa'at mereka tidak memberi manfaat sedikitpun bagi diriku dan mereka tidak (pula) dapat menyelamatkanku?

EN Translation Should I take to worship­ping [other] deities beside Him? [But then,] if the Most Gracious should will that harm befall me, their intercession could not in the least avail me, nor could they save me:

اِنِّيْٓ اِذًا لَّفِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ٢٤

ID Translation Sesungguhnya aku kalau begitu pasti berada dalam kesesatan yang nyata.

EN Translation and so, behold, I would have indeed, most obviously, lost myself in error!

اِنِّيْٓ اٰمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُوْنِۗ ٢٥

ID Translation Sesungguhnya aku telah beriman kepada Tuhanmu; maka dengarkanlah (pengakuan keimanan)ku.

EN Translation “Verily, [O my people,] in the Sustainer of you all have I come to believe: listen, then, to me!”

قِيْلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ ۗقَالَ يٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِيْ يَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٢٦

ID Translation Dikatakan (kepadanya): "Masuklah ke surga". Ia berkata: "Alangkah baiknya sekiranya kamumku mengetahui.

EN Translation [And] he was told, “[Thou shalt] enter paradise!” - [whereupon] he exclaimed: “Would that my people knew

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِيْ رَبِّيْ وَجَعَلَنِيْ مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِيْنَ ٢٧

ID Translation Apa yang menyebabkan Tuhanku memberi ampun kepadaku dan menjadikan aku termasuk orang-orang yang dimuliakan".

EN Translation how my Sustainer has forgiven me [the sins of my past], and has placed me among the honoured ones!”
