Juz 21

۞ وَلَا تُجَادِلُوْٓا اَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ اِلَّا بِالَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُۖ اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ وَقُوْلُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِالَّذِيْٓ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْنَا وَاُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكُمْ وَاِلٰهُنَا وَاِلٰهُكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَّنَحْنُ لَهٗ مُسْلِمُوْنَ ٤٦

ID Translation Dan janganlah kamu berdebat denganAhli Kitab, melainkan dengan cara yang paling baik, kecuali dengan orang-orang zalim di antara mereka, dan katakanlah: "Kami telah beriman kepada (kitab-kitab) yang diturunkan kepada kami dan yang diturunkan kepadamu; Tuhan kami dan Tuhanmu adalah satu; dan kami hanya kepada-Nya berserah diri".

EN Translation And do not argue with the followers of earlier revelation otherwise than in a most kindly manner - unless it be such of them as are bent on evildoing and say: “We believe in that which has been be­stowed from on high upon us, as well as that which has been bestowed upon you: or our God and your God is one and the same, and it is unto Him that We [all] surrender ourselves.”

وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنْزَلْنَآ اِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَۗ فَالَّذِيْنَ اٰتَيْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖۚ وَمِنْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ مَنْ يُّؤْمِنُ بِهٖۗ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلَّا الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan demikian (pulalah) Kami turunkan kepadamu Al Kitab (Al Quran). Maka orang-orang yang telah kami berikan kepada mereka Al Kitab (Taurat) mereka beriman kepadanya (Al Quran); dan di antara mereka (orang-orang kafir Mekah) ada yang beriman kepadanya. Dan tiadalah yang mengingkari ayat-ayat kami selain orang-orang kafir.

EN Translation For it is thus that We have bestowed this divine writ from on high upon thee [O Muhammad]. And they to whom we have vouchsafed this divine writ believe in it just as among those [followers of earlier revelation] there are some who believe in it. And none could knowingly reject Our messages unless it be such as would deny [an obvious] truth:

وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِهٖ مِنْ كِتٰبٍ وَّلَا تَخُطُّهٗ بِيَمِيْنِكَ اِذًا لَّارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ ٤٨

ID Translation Dan kamu tidak pernah membaca sebelumnya (Al Quran) sesuatu Kitabpun dan kamu tidak (pernah) menulis suatu Kitab dengan tangan kananmu; andaikata (kamu pernah membaca dan menulis), benar-benar ragulah orang yang mengingkari(mu).

EN Translation for, [O Muhammad,] thou hast never been able to recite any divine writ ere this one [was revealed], nor didst thou ever transcribe one with your own hand or else, they who try to disprove the truth [of thy revelation] might indeed have had cause to doubt [it].

بَلْ هُوَ اٰيٰتٌۢ بَيِّنٰتٌ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَۗ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلَّا الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٤٩

ID Translation Sebenarnya, Al Quran itu adalah ayat-ayat yang nyata di dalam dada orang-orang yang diberi ilmu. Dan tidak ada yang mengingkari ayat-ayat Kami kecuali orang-orang yang zalim.

EN Translation Nay, but this [divine writ] consists of messages clear to the hearts of all who are gifted with [innate] knowledge and none could knowingly reject Our messages unless it be such as would do wrong [to themselves].

وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَآ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ ۗ قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْاٰيٰتُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاِنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٥٠

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir Mekah berkata: "Mengapa tidak diturunkan kepadanya mukjizat-mukjizat dari Tuhannya?" Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya mukjizat-mukjizat itu terserah kepada Allah. Dan sesungguhnya aku hanya seorang pemberi peringatan yang nyata".

EN Translation And yet they say, “Why have no miraculous signs ever been bestowed upon him from on high by his Sustainer?” Say: “Miracles are in the power of God alone; and as for me - I am but a plain warner.”

اَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ اَنَّآ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ يُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَّذِكْرٰى لِقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٥١

ID Translation Dan apakah tidak cukup bagi mereka bahwasanya Kami telah menurunkan kepadamu Al Kitab (Al Quran) sedang dia dibacakan kepada mereka? Sesungguhnya dalam (Al Quran) itu terdapat rahmat yang besar dan pelajaran bagi orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation Why - is it not enough for them that We have bestowed this divine writ on thee from on high, to be conveyed [by thee] to them? For, verily, in it is [manifested Our] grace, and a reminder to people who will believe.

قُلْ كَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيْدًاۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِالْبَاطِلِ وَكَفَرُوْا بِاللّٰهِ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ ٥٢

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Cukuplah Allah menjadi saksi antaraku dan antaramu. Dia mengetahui apa yang di langit dan di bumi. Dan orang-orang yang percaya kepada yang batil dan ingkar kepada Allah, mereka itulah orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation Say [unto those who will not believe]: “God is witness enough between me and you! He knows all that is in the heavens and on earth; and they who are bent on believing in what is false and vain, and thus on denying God - it is they, they who shall be the losers!”

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَكَ بِالْعَذَابِۗ وَلَوْلَآ اَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَاۤءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُۗ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ٥٣

ID Translation Dan mereka meminta kepadamu supaya segera diturunkan azab. Kalau tidaklah karena waktu yang telah ditetapkan, benar-benar telah datang azab kepada mereka, dan azab itu benar-benar akan datang kepada mereka dengan tiba-tiba, sedang mereka tidak menyadarinya.

EN Translation Now they challenge thee to hasten the coming upon them of [God’s] chastisement: and indeed, had not a term been set [for it by God], that suffering would already have come upon them! But indeed, it will most certainly come upon them of a sudden, and they will be taken unawares.

يَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَكَ بِالْعَذَابِۗ وَاِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيْطَةٌ ۢ بِالْكٰفِرِيْنَۙ ٥٤

ID Translation Mereka meminta kepadamu supaya segera diturunkan azab. Dan sesungguhnya Jahannam benar-benar meliputi orang-orang yang kafir,

EN Translation They challenge thee to hasten the coming upon them of [God’s] chastisement: but, verily, hell is bound to encompass all who deny the truth –

يَوْمَ يَغْشٰىهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِنْ تَحْتِ اَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُوْلُ ذُوْقُوْا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٥٥

ID Translation pada hari mereka ditutup oleh azab dari atas mereka dan dari bawah kaki mereka dan Allah berkata (kepada mereka): "Rasailah (pembalasan dari) apa yang telah kamu kerjakan".

EN Translation [encompass them] on the Day when suffering will overwhelm them from above them and from beneath their feet, whereupon He shall say: “Taste [now the fruit of] your own doings!”

يٰعِبَادِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنَّ اَرْضِيْ وَاسِعَةٌ فَاِيَّايَ فَاعْبُدُوْنِ ٥٦

ID Translation Hai hamba-hamba-Ku yang beriman, sesungguhnya bumi-Ku luas, maka sembahlah Aku saja.

EN Translation O YOU servants of Mine who have attained to faith! Behold, wide is Mine earth: worship Me, then, Me alone!

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ الْمَوْتِۗ ثُمَّ اِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٥٧

ID Translation Tiap-tiap yang berjiwa akan merasakan mati. Kemudian hanyalah kepada Kami kamu dikembalikan.

EN Translation Every human being is bound to taste death, [and] in the end unto Us shall all be brought back:

وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۗ نِعْمَ اَجْرُ الْعٰمِلِيْنَۖ ٥٨

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal-amal yang saleh, sesungguhnya akan Kami tempatkan mereka pada tempat-tempat yang tinggi di dalam surga, yang mengalir sungai-sungai di bawahnya, mereka kekal di dalamnya. Itulah sebaik-baik pembalasan bagi orang-orang yang beramal,

EN Translation whereupon unto those who have attained to faith and wrought good works We shall most certainly assign mansions in that paradise through which run­ning waters flow, therein to abide: how excellent a reward for those who labour –

الَّذِيْنَ صَبَرُوْا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُوْنَ ٥٩

ID Translation (yaitu) yang bersabar dan bertawakkal kepada Tuhannya.

EN Translation those who are patient in adversity and in their Sustainer place their trust!

وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَاۖ اللّٰهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَاِيَّاكُمْ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan berapa banyak binatang yang tidak (dapat) membawa (mengurus) rezekinya sendiri. Allah-lah yang memberi rezeki kepadanya dan kepadamu dan Dia Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation And how many a living creature is there that takes no thought of its own sustenance; [the while] God provides for it as [He provides] for you - since He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing.

وَلَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَيَقُوْلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۗفَاَنّٰى يُؤْفَكُوْنَ ٦١

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya jika kamu tanyakan kepada mereka: "Siapakah yang menjadikan langit dan bumi dan menundukkan matahari dan bulan?" Tentu mereka akan menjawab: "Allah", maka betapakah mereka (dapat) dipalingkan (dari jalan yang benar).

EN Translation And thus it is [with most people]: if thou ask them, “Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth, and made the sun and the moon subservi­ent [to His laws]?” - they will surely answer, “God.” How perverted, then, are their minds!

اَللّٰهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهٗ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ٦٢

ID Translation Allah melapangkan rezeki bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya di antara hamba-hamba-Nya dan Dia (pula) yang menyempitkan baginya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.

EN Translation God grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, to whichever He wills of His crea­tures: for, behold, God has full knowledge of every­thing.

وَلَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ نَّزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَاَحْيَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُوْلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۙقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ ۗبَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ ٦٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya jika kamu menanyakan kepada mereka: "Siapakah yang menurunkan air dari langit lalu menghidupkan dengan air itu bumi sesudah matinya?" Tentu mereka akan menjawab: "Allah", Katakanlah: "Segala puji bagi Allah", tetapi kebanyakan mereka tidak memahami(nya).

EN Translation And thus it is: if thou ask them, “Who is it that sends down water from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless?” - they will surely answer, “God.” Say thou: “[Since this is so,] all praise is due to God [alone]!” But most of them will not use their reason:

وَمَا هٰذِهِ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَآ اِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَّلَعِبٌۗ وَاِنَّ الدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُۘ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٦٤

ID Translation Dan tiadalah kehidupan dunia ini melainkan senda gurau dan main-main. Dan sesungguhnya akhirat itulah yang sebenarnya kehidupan, kalau mereka mengetahui.

EN Translation for, [if they did, they would know that] the life of this world is nothing but a passing delight and a play - whereas, behold, the life in the hereafter is indeed the only [true] life: if they but knew this!

فَاِذَا رَكِبُوْا فِى الْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ ەۚ فَلَمَّا نَجّٰىهُمْ اِلَى الْبَرِّ اِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُوْنَۙ ٦٥

ID Translation Maka apabila mereka naik kapal mereka mendoa kepada Allah dengan memurnikan ketaatan kepada-Nya; maka tatkala Allah menyelamatkan mereka sampai ke darat, tiba-tiba mereka (kembali) mempersekutukan (Allah)

EN Translation And so, when they embark on a ship [and find themselves in danger], they call unto God, [at that moment] sincere in their faith in Him alone; but as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, they [begin to] ascribe to imaginary powers a share in His divinity:

لِيَكْفُرُوْا بِمَآ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْۙ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوْاۗ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٦٦

ID Translation agar mereka mengingkari nikmat yang telah Kami berikan kepada mereka dan agar mereka (hidup) bersenang-senang (dalam kekafiran). Kelak mereka akan mengetahui (akibat perbuatannya).

EN Translation and thus they show utter ingratitude for all that We have vouchsafed them, and go on [thoughtlessly] enjoying their worldly life.

اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا اٰمِنًا وَّيُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْۗ اَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ اللّٰهِ يَكْفُرُوْنَ ٦٧

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak memperhatikan, bahwa sesungguhnya Kami telah menjadikan (negeri mereka) tanah suci yang aman, sedang manusia sekitarnya rampok-merampok. Maka mengapa (sesudah nyata kebenaran) mereka masih percaya kepada yang bathil dan ingkar kepada nikmat Allah?

EN Translation Are they, then, not aware that We have set up a sanctuary secure [for those who believe in Us], the while all around them men are being carried away [by fear and despair]? Will they, then, [continue to] believe in things false and vain, and thus deny God’s blessings.

وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهٗ ۗ اَلَيْسَ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٦٨

ID Translation Dan siapakah yang lebih zalim daripada orang-orang yang mengada-adakan kedustaan terhadap Allah atau mendustakan yang hak tatkala yang hak itu datang kepadanya? Bukankah dalam neraka Jahannam itu ada tempat bagi orang-orang yang kafir?

EN Translation And who could be more wicked than he who attributes his own lying inventions to God, or gives the lie to the truth when it comes unto him [through revelation]? Is not hell the [proper] abode for all who [thus] deny the truth?

وَالَّذِيْنَ جَاهَدُوْا فِيْنَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَاۗ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ٦٩

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang berjihad untuk (mencari keridhaan) Kami, benar-benar akan Kami tunjukkan kepada mereka jalan-jalan Kami. Dan sesungguhnya Allah benar-benar beserta orang-orang yang berbuat baik.

EN Translation But as for those who strive hard in Our cause -We shall most certainly guide them onto paths that lead unto Us: for, behold, God is indeed with the doers of good.

الۤمّۤ ۚ ١

ID Translation Alif Laam Miim

EN Translation Alif. Lam. Mim.

غُلِبَتِ الرُّوْمُۙ ٢

ID Translation Telah dikalahkan bangsa Rumawi,

EN Translation Defeated have been the Byzantines

فِيْٓ اَدْنَى الْاَرْضِ وَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُوْنَۙ ٣

ID Translation di negeri yang terdekat dan mereka sesudah dikalahkan itu akan menang

EN Translation in the lands close-by; yet it is they who, notwithstanding this their defeat, shall be victorious

فِيْ بِضْعِ سِنِيْنَ ەۗ لِلّٰهِ الْاَمْرُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمِنْۢ بَعْدُ ۗوَيَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ ٤

ID Translation dalam beberapa tahun lagi. Bagi Allah-lah urusan sebelum dan sesudah (mereka menang). Dan di hari (kemenangan bangsa Rumawi) itu bergembiralah orang-orang yang beriman,

EN Translation within a few years: [for] with God rests all power of decision, first and last. And on that day will the believers [too, have cause to] rejoice

بِنَصْرِ اللّٰهِ ۗيَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ٥

ID Translation Karena pertolongan Allah. Dia menolong siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya. Dan Dialah Maha Perkasa lagi Penyayang.

EN Translation in God’s succour: [for] He gives suc­cour to whomever He wills, since He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace.

وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ ۗ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهٗ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٦

ID Translation (Sebagai) janji yang sebenarnya dari Allah. Allah tidak akan menyalahi janji-Nya, tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui.

EN Translation [This is] God’s promise. Never does God fail to fulfill His promise - but most people know [it] not:

يَعْلَمُوْنَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۖ وَهُمْ عَنِ الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ غٰفِلُوْنَ ٧

ID Translation Mereka hanya mengetahui yang lahir (saja) dari kehidupan dunia; sedang mereka tentang (kehidupan) akhirat adalah lalai.

EN Translation they know but the outer surface of this world’s life, whereas of the ultimate things they are utterly un­aware.

اَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوْا فِيْٓ اَنْفُسِهِمْ ۗ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ وَاِنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَاۤئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكٰفِرُوْنَ ٨

ID Translation Dan mengapa mereka tidak memikirkan tentang (kejadian) diri mereka? Allah tidak menjadikan langit dan bumi dan apa yang ada diantara keduanya melainkan dengan (tujuan) yang benar dan waktu yang ditentukan. Dan sesungguhnya kebanyakan di antara manusia benar-benar ingkar akan pertemuan dengan Tuhannya.

EN Translation Have they never learned to think for them­selves? God has not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth and a term set [by Him]: and yet, behold, there are many people who stubbornly deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer!

اَوَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ كَانُوْٓا اَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَّاَثَارُوا الْاَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوْهَآ اَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوْهَا وَجَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِۗ فَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلٰكِنْ كَانُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُوْنَۗ ٩

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi dan memperhatikan bagaimana akibat (yang diderita) oleh orang-orang sebelum mereka? orang-orang itu adalah lebihkuat dari mereka (sendiri) dan telah mengolah bumi (tanah) serta memakmurkannya lebih banyak dari apa yang telah mereka makmurkan. Dan telah datang kepada mereka rasul-rasul mereka dengan membawa bukti-bukti yang nyata. Maka Allah sekali-kali tidak berlaku zalim kepada mereka, akan tetapi merekalah yang berlaku zalim kepada diri sendiri.

EN Translation Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time? Greater were they in power than they are; and they left a stronger impact on the earth, and built it up even better than these [are doing]; and to them [too] came their apostles with all evidence of the truth: and so, [when they rejected the truth and thereupon perished,] it was not God who wronged them, but it was they who had wronged themselves.

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِيْنَ اَسَاۤءُوا السُّوْۤاٰىٓ اَنْ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَكَانُوْا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ١٠

ID Translation Kemudian, akibat orang-orang yang mengerjakan kejahatan adalah (azab) yang lebih buruk, karena mereka mendustakan ayat-ayat Allah dan mereka selalu memperolok-oloknya.

EN Translation And once again: evil is bound to be the end of those who do evil by giving the lie to God’s messages and deriding them.

اَللّٰهُ يَبْدَؤُا الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيْدُهٗ ثُمَّ اِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ١١

ID Translation Allah menciptakan (manusia) dari permulaan, kemudian mengembalikan (menghidupkan)nya kembali; kemudian kepada-Nya-lah kamu dikembalikan

EN Translation GOD CREATES [man] in the first instance, and then brings him forth anew: and, in the end, unto Him you all will be brought back.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ ١٢

ID Translation Dan pada hari terjadinya kiamat, orang-orang yang berdosa terdiam berputus asa.

EN Translation And when the last Hour dawns, those who were lost in sin will be broken in spirit

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُمْ مِّنْ شُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمْ شُفَعٰۤؤُا وَكَانُوْا بِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمْ كٰفِرِيْنَ ١٣

ID Translation Dan sekali-kali tidak ada pemberi syafa'at bagi mereka dari berhala-berhala mereka dan adalah mereka mengingkari berhala mereka itu.

EN Translation for they will have no intercessors in the beings to whom they were wont to ascribe a share in God’s divinity, seeing that [by then] they themselves will have ceased to believe in their erstwhile blasphemous fancies.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّتَفَرَّقُوْنَ ١٤

ID Translation Dan pada hari terjadinya kiamat, di hari itu mereka (manusia) bergolong-golongan.

EN Translation And when the Last Hour dawns - on that Day will all [men] be sorted out:

فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَهُمْ فِيْ رَوْضَةٍ يُّحْبَرُوْنَ ١٥

ID Translation Adapun orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal saleh, maka mereka di dalam taman (surga) bergembira.

EN Translation as for those who attained to faith and did righteous deeds, they shall be made happy in a garden of delight;

وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَلِقَاۤئِ الْاٰخِرَةِ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ فِى الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُوْنَ ١٦

ID Translation Adapun orang-orang yang kafir dan mendustakan ayat-ayat Kami (Al Quran) serta (mendustakan) menemui hari akhirat, maka mereka tetap berada di dalam siksaan (neraka).

EN Translation but as for those who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to Our messages - and (thus) to the announce­ment of a life to come - they will be given over to suffering.

فَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ حِيْنَ تُمْسُوْنَ وَحِيْنَ تُصْبِحُوْنَ ١٧

ID Translation Maka bertasbihlah kepada Allah di waktu kamu berada di petang hari dan waktu kamu berada di waktu subuh,

EN Translation EXTOL, then, God’s limitless glory when you enter upon the evening hours, and when you rise at morn;

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَّحِيْنَ تُظْهِرُوْنَ ١٨

ID Translation dan bagi-Nya-lah segala puji di langit dan di bumi dan di waktu kamu berada pada petang hari dan di waktu kamu berada di waktu Zuhur.

EN Translation and [seeing that] unto Him is due all praise in the heavens and on earth, [glorify Him] in the afternoon as well, and when you enter upon the hour of noon.

يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۗوَكَذٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُوْنَ ١٩

ID Translation Dia mengeluarkan yang hidup dari yang mati dan mengeluarkan yang mati dari yang hidup dan menghidupkan bumi sesudah matinya. Dan seperti itulah kamu akan dikeluarkan (dari kubur).

EN Translation He [it is who] brings forth the living out of that which is dead, and brings forth the dead out of that which is alive, and gives life to the earth after it had been lifeless: and even thus will you be brought forth [from death to life]

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ اِذَآ اَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ تَنْتَشِرُوْنَ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah Dia menciptakan kamu dari tanah, kemudian tiba-tiba kamu (menjadi) manusia yang berkembang biak.

EN Translation And among His wonders is this: He creates you out of dust – and then, lo! you become human beings ranging far and wide!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوْٓا اِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّرَحْمَةً ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ٢١

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah Dia menciptakan untukmu isteri-isteri dari jenismu sendiri, supaya kamu cenderung dan merasa tenteram kepadanya, dan dijadikan-Nya diantaramu rasa kasih dan sayang. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang berfikir.

EN Translation And among His wonders is this: He creates for you mates out of your own kind. so that you might incline towards them, and He engenders love and tenderness between you: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖ خَلْقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ اَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَاَلْوَانِكُمْۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّلْعٰلِمِيْنَ ٢٢

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah menciptakan langit dan bumi dan berlain-lainan bahasamu dan warna kulitmu. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikan itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi orang-orang yang mengetahui.

EN Translation And among his wonders is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colours: for in this, behold, there are messages indeed for all who are possessed of [innate] knowledge!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖ مَنَامُكُمْ بِالَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاۤؤُكُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّسْمَعُوْنَ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah tidurmu di waktu malam dan siang hari dan usahamu mencari sebagian dari karunia-Nya. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang mendengarkan.

EN Translation And among His wonders is your sleep, at night or in daytime, as well as your [ability to go about in] quest of some of His bounties: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who [are willing to] listen!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖ يُرِيْكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَّطَمَعًا وَّيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَيُحْيٖ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْقِلُوْنَ ٢٤

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya, Dia memperlihatkan kepadamu kilat untuk (menimbulkan) ketakutan dan harapan, dan Dia menurunkan hujan dari langit, lalu menghidupkan bumi dengan air itu sesudah matinya. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang mempergunakan akalnya.

EN Translation And among His wonders is this: He displays before you the lightning, giving rise to [both] fear and hope, and sends down water from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who use their reason!

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ السَّمَاۤءُ وَالْاَرْضُ بِاَمْرِهٖۗ ثُمَّ اِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةًۖ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ اِذَآ اَنْتُمْ تَخْرُجُوْنَ ٢٥

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah berdirinya langit dan bumi dengan iradat-Nya. Kemudian apabila Dia memanggil kamu sekali panggil dari bumi, seketika itu (juga) kamu keluar (dari kubur).

EN Translation And among His wonders is this: the skies and the earth stand firm at His behest. [Remember all this: for] in the end, when He will call you forth from the earth with a single call - lo! you will [all] emerge [for judgment].

وَلَهٗ مَنْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ كُلٌّ لَّهٗ قَانِتُوْنَ ٢٦

ID Translation Dan kepunyaan-Nya-lah siapa saja yang ada di langit dan di bumi. Semuanya hanya kepada-Nya tunduk.

EN Translation For, unto Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth; all things devoutly obey His will.

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ يَبْدَؤُا الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيْدُهٗ وَهُوَ اَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِۗ وَلَهُ الْمَثَلُ الْاَعْلٰى فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٢٧

ID Translation Dan Dialah yang menciptakan (manusia) dari permulaan, kemudian mengembalikan (menghidupkan)nya kembali, dan menghidupkan kembali itu adalah lebih mudah bagi-Nya. Dan bagi-Nya-lah sifat yang Maha Tinggi di langit dan di bumi; dan Dialah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation And He it is who creates [all life] in the first instance, and then brings it forth anew: and most easy is this for Him, since His is the essence of all that is most sublime in the heavens and on earth, and He alone is almighty, truly wise.

ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَّثَلًا مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْۗ هَلْ لَّكُمْ مِّنْ مَّا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ مِّنْ شُرَكَاۤءَ فِيْ مَا رَزَقْنٰكُمْ فَاَنْتُمْ فِيْهِ سَوَاۤءٌ تَخَافُوْنَهُمْ كَخِيْفَتِكُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْۗ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْاٰيٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَّعْقِلُوْنَ ٢٨

ID Translation Dia membuat perumpamaan untuk kamu dari dirimu sendiri. Apakah ada diantara hamba-sahaya yang dimiliki oleh tangan kananmu, sekutu bagimu dalam (memiliki) rezeki yang telah Kami berikan kepadamu; maka kamu sama dengan mereka dalam (hak mempergunakan) rezeki itu, kamu takut kepada mereka sebagaimana kamu takut kepada dirimu sendiri? Demikianlah Kami jelaskan ayat-ayat bagi kaum yang berakal.

EN Translation He propounds unto you a parable drawn from your own life: Would you [agree to] have some of those whom your right hands possess as [full-fledged] partners in whatever We may have bestowed upon you as sustenance, so that you [and they] would have equal shares in it, and you would fear [to make use of it without consulting] them, just as you might fear [the more powerful of] your equals? Thus clearly do We spell out these messages unto people who use their reason.

بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْٓا اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۗ فَمَنْ يَّهْدِيْ مَنْ اَضَلَّ اللّٰهُ ۗوَمَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ نّٰصِرِيْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Tetapi orang-orang yang zalim, mengikuti hawa nafsunya tanpa ilmu pengetahuan; maka siapakah yang akan menunjuki orang yang telah disesatkan Allah? Dan tiadalah bagi mereka seorang penolongpun.

EN Translation But nay - they who are bent on evildoing fol­low but their own desires, without having any knowl­edge (of the truth). And who could guide those whom God has [thus] let go astray, and who (thereupon) have none to succour them?

فَاَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّيْنِ حَنِيْفًاۗ فِطْرَتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِيْ فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَاۗ لَا تَبْدِيْلَ لِخَلْقِ اللّٰهِ ۗذٰلِكَ الدِّيْنُ الْقَيِّمُۙ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٣٠

ID Translation Maka hadapkanlah wajahmu dengan lurus kepada agama Allah; (tetaplah atas) fitrah Allah yang telah menciptakan manusia menurut fitrah itu. Tidak ada peubahan pada fitrah Allah. (Itulah) agama yang lurus; tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui,

EN Translation AND SO, set thy face steadfastly towards the [one ever-true] faith, turning away from all that is false, in accordance with the natural disposition which God has instilled into man: [for,] not to allow any change to corrupt what God has thus created this is the [purpose of the one] ever-true faith; but most people know it not.

۞ مُنِيْبِيْنَ اِلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُوْهُ وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَۙ ٣١

ID Translation dengan kembali bertaubat kepada-Nya dan bertakwalah kepada-Nya serta dirikanlah shalat dan janganlah kamu termasuk orang-orang yang mempersekutukan Allah,

EN Translation [Turn, then, away from all that is false,] turn­ing unto Him [alone]; and remain conscious of Him, and be constant in prayer, and be not among those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him,

مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَّقُوْا دِيْنَهُمْ وَكَانُوْا شِيَعًا ۗ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۢ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُوْنَ ٣٢

ID Translation yaitu orang-orang yang memecah-belah agama mereka dan mereka menjadi beberapa golongan. Tiap-tiap golongan merasa bangga dengan apa yang ada pada golongan mereka.

EN Translation [or] among those who have broken the unity of their faith and have become sects, each group delighting in but what they themselves hold [by way of tenets].

وَاِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُمْ مُّنِيْبِيْنَ اِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ اِذَآ اَذَاقَهُمْ مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً اِذَا فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُوْنَۙ ٣٣

ID Translation Dan apabila manusia disentuh oleh suatu bahaya, mereka menyeru Tuhannya dengan kembali bertaubat kepada-Nya, kemudian apabila Tuhan merasakan kepada mereka barang sedikit rahmat daripada-Nya, tiba-tiba sebagian dari mereka mempersekutukan Tuhannya,

EN Translation NOW [thus it is:] when affliction befalls men, they cry out unto their Sustainer, turning unto Him [for help]; but as soon as He lets them taste of His grace, lo! some of them [begin to] ascribe to other powers a share in their Sustainer’s divinity,

لِيَكْفُرُوْا بِمَآ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْۗ فَتَمَتَّعُوْاۗ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٤

ID Translation sehingga mereka mengingkari akan rahmat yang telah Kami berikan kepada mereka. Maka bersenang-senanglah kamu sekalian, kelak kamu akan mengetahui (akibat perbuatanmu).

EN Translation [as if] to prove their ingratitude for all that We have granted them! Enjoy, then, your [brief] life: but in time you will come to know [the truth]!

اَمْ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطٰنًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يُشْرِكُوْنَ ٣٥

ID Translation Atau pernahkah Kami menurunkan kepada mereka keterangan, lalu keterangan itu menunjukkan (kebenaran) apa yang mereka selalu mempersekutukan dengan Tuhan?

EN Translation Have We ever bestowed upon them from on high a divine writ which would speak [with appro­val] of their worshipping aught beside Us?

وَاِذَآ اَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوْا بِهَاۗ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ ۢبِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْهِمْ اِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُوْنَ ٣٦

ID Translation Dan apabila Kami rasakan sesuatu rahmat kepada manusia, niscaya mereka gembira dengan rahmat itu. Dan apabila mereka ditimpa suatu musibah (bahaya) disebabkan kesalahan yang telah dikerjakan oleh tangan mereka sendiri, tiba-tiba mereka itu berputus asa.

EN Translation And [thus it is:] when we let men taste [Our] grace, they rejoice in it; but if evil befalls them as an outcome of what their own hands have wrought lo! they lose all hope!

اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَقْدِرُۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٣٧

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak memperhatikan bahwa Sesungguhnya Allah melapangkan rezeki bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan Dia (pula) yang menyempitkan (rezeki itu). Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda (kekuasaan Allah) bagi kaum yang beriman.

EN Translation Are they, then, not aware that it is God who grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills? In this, behold, there are messages indeed for peo­ple who will believe!

فَاٰتِ ذَا الْقُرْبٰى حَقَّهٗ وَالْمِسْكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِۗ ذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ يُرِيْدُوْنَ وَجْهَ اللّٰهِ ۖوَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ٣٨

ID Translation Maka berikanlah kepada kerabat yang terdekat akan haknya, demikian (pula) kepada fakir miskin dan orang-orang yang dalam perjalanan. Itulah yang lebih baik bagi orang-orang yang mencari keridhaan Allah; dan mereka itulah orang-orang beruntung.

EN Translation Hence, give his due to the near of kin, as well as to the needy and the wayfarer; this is best for all who seek God’s countenance: for it is they, they that shall attain to a happy state!

وَمَآ اٰتَيْتُمْ مِّنْ رِّبًا لِّيَرْبُوَا۠ فِيْٓ اَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوْا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۚوَمَآ اٰتَيْتُمْ مِّنْ زَكٰوةٍ تُرِيْدُوْنَ وَجْهَ اللّٰهِ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُوْنَ ٣٩

ID Translation Dan sesuatu riba (tambahan) yang kamu berikan agar dia bertambah pada harta manusia, maka riba itu tidak menambah pada sisi Allah. Dan apa yang kamu berikan berupa zakat yang kamu maksudkan untuk mencapai keridhaan Allah, maka (yang berbuat demikian) itulah orang-orang yang melipat gandakan (pahalanya).

EN Translation And [remember:] whatever you may give out in usury so that it might increase through [other] people’s possessions will bring [you] no increase in the sight of God whereas all that you give out in charity, seeking God’s countenance, [will be blessed by Him:] for it is they, they [who thus seek His countenance] that shall have their recompense mul­tiplied!

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيْتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيْكُمْۗ هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَاۤىِٕكُمْ مَّنْ يَّفْعَلُ مِنْ ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍۗ سُبْحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ٤٠

ID Translation Allah-lah yang menciptakan kamu, kemudian memberimu rezeki, kemudian mematikanmu, kemudian menghidupkanmu (kembali). Adakah di antara yang kamu sekutukan dengan Allah itu yang dapat berbuat sesuatu dari yang demikian itu? Maha Sucilah Dia dan Maha Tinggi dari apa yang mereka persekutukan.

EN Translation IT IS GOD who has created you, and then has provided you with sustenance, and then will cause you to die, and then will bring you to life again. Can any of those beings or powers to whom you ascribe a share in His divinity do any of these things? Limitless is He in His glory, and sublimely exalted above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity!

ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِى الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ اَيْدِى النَّاسِ لِيُذِيْقَهُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ عَمِلُوْا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ ٤١

ID Translation Telah nampak kerusakan di darat dan di laut disebabkan karena perbuatan tangan manusi, supay Allah merasakan kepada mereka sebahagian dari (akibat) perbuatan mereka, agar mereka kembali (ke jalan yang benar).

EN Translation [Since they have become oblivious of God,] corruption has appeared on land and in the sea as an outcome of what men’s hands have wrought: and so He will let them taste [the evil of] some of their doings, so that they might return [to the right path].

قُلْ سِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُۗ كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّشْرِكِيْنَ ٤٢

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Adakanlah perjalanan di muka bumi dan perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang terdahulu. Kebanyakan dari mereka itu adalah orang-orang yang mempersekutukan (Allah)".

EN Translation Say: “Go all over the earth, and behold what happened in the end to those [sinners] who lived before [you]: most of them were wont to ascribe divine qualities to things or beings other than God.”

فَاَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّيْنِ الْقَيِّمِ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ مِنَ اللّٰهِ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصَّدَّعُوْنَ ٤٣

ID Translation Oleh karena itu, hadapkanlah wajahmu kepada agama yang lurus (Islam) sebelum datang dari Allah suatu hari yang tidak dapat ditolak (kedatangannya): pada hari itu mereka terpisah-pisah.

EN Translation Set, then, thy face steadfastly towards the one ever-true faith, ere there come from God a Day [of reckoning - the Day] which cannot be averted. On that Day all will be sundered:

مَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهٗۚ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِاَنْفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُوْنَۙ ٤٤

ID Translation Barangsiapa yang kafir maka dia sendirilah yang menanggung (akibat) kekafirannya itu; dan barangsiapa yang beramal saleh maka untuk diri mereka sendirilah mereka menyiapkan (tempat yang menyenangkan),

EN Translation he who has denied the truth will have to bear [the burden of] his denial, whereas all who did what is right and just will have made goodly provision for themselves,

لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٤٥

ID Translation agar Allah memberi pahala kepada orang-orang yang beriman dan beramal saleh dari karunia-Nya. Sesungguhnya Dia tidak menyukai orang-orang yang ingkar.

EN Translation so that He might reward, out of His bounty, those who have attained to faith and done righteous deeds. Verily, He does not love those who refuse to acknowledge the truth –

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ يُّرْسِلَ الرِّيٰحَ مُبَشِّرٰتٍ وَّلِيُذِيْقَكُمْ مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِهٖ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِاَمْرِهٖ وَلِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٤٦

ID Translation Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasan-Nya adalah bahwa Dia mengirimkan angin sebagai pembawa berita gembira dan untuk merasakan kepadamu sebagian dari rahmat-Nya dan supaya kapal dapat berlayar dengan perintah-Nya dan (juga) supaya kamu dapat mencari karunia-Nya; mudah-mudahn kamu bersyukur.

EN Translation for among His wonders is this: He sends forth [His messages as He sends forth] the winds that bear glad tidings, so that He might give you a taste of His grace [through life-giving rains], and that ships might sail at His behest, and that you might go about in quest of some of His bounties, and that you might have cause to be grateful.

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاۤءُوْهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْاۗ وَكَانَ حَقًّاۖ عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutus sebelum kamu beberapa orang rasul kepada kaumnya, mereka datang kepadanya dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan (yang cukup), lalu Kami melakukan pembalasan terhadap orang-orang yang berdosa. Dan Kami selalu berkewajiban menolong orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation And indeed, [O Muhammad, even] before thee did We send forth apostles - each one unto his own people and they brought them all evidence of the truth: and then, [by causing the believers to triumph,] We inflicted Our retribution upon those who [de­liberately] did evil: for We had willed it upon Our­selves to succour the believers.

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ فَتُثِيْرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهٗ فِى السَّمَاۤءِ كَيْفَ يَشَاۤءُ وَيَجْعَلُهٗ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلٰلِهٖۚ فَاِذَآ اَصَابَ بِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖٓ اِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَۚ ٤٨

ID Translation Allah, Dialah yang mengirim angin, lalu angin itu menggerakkan awan dan Allah membentangkannya di langit menurut yang dikehendaki-Nya, dan menjadikannya bergumpal-gumpal; lalu kamu lihat hujan keluar dari celah-celahnya, maka apabila hujan itu turun mengenai hamba-hamba-Nya yang dikehendaki-Nya, tiba-tiba mereka menjadi gembira.

EN Translation It is God who sends forth the winds [of hope], so that they raise a cloud - whereupon He spreads it over the skies as He wills, and causes it to break up so that thou seest rain issue from within it: and as soon as He causes it to fall upon whomever He wills of His servants - lo! they rejoice,

وَاِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يُّنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ قَبْلِهٖ لَمُبْلِسِيْنَۚ ٤٩

ID Translation Dan Sesungguhnya sebelum hujan diturunkan kepada mereka, mereka benar-benar telah berputus asa.

EN Translation even though a short while ago, [just] before it was sent down upon them, they had abandoned all hope!

فَانْظُرْ اِلٰٓى اٰثٰرِ رَحْمَتِ اللّٰهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰىۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ٥٠

ID Translation Maka perhatikanlah bekas-bekas rahmat Allah, bagaimana Allah menghidupkan bumi yang sudah mati. Sesungguhnya (Tuhan yang berkuasa seperti) demikian benar-benar (berkuasa) menghidupkan orang-orang yang telah mati. Dan Dia Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.

EN Translation Behold, then, [O man,] these signs of God’s grace - how He gives life to the earth after it had been lifeless! Verily, this Selfsame [God] is indeed the One that can bring the dead back to life: for He has the power to will anything!

وَلَىِٕنْ اَرْسَلْنَا رِيْحًا فَرَاَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّا لَّظَلُّوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ يَكْفُرُوْنَ ٥١

ID Translation Dan sungguh, jika Kami mengirimkan angin (kepada tumbuh-tumbuhan) lalu mereka melihat (tumbuh-tumbuhan itu) menjadi kuning (kering), benar-benar tetaplah mereka sesudah itu menjadi orang yang ingkar.

EN Translation But thus it is: if We send a wind [that scorches their land], and they see it turn yellow, they begin, after that [erstwhile joy], to deny the truth [of Our almightiness and grace]!

فَاِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتٰى وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاۤءَ اِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِيْنَ ٥٢

ID Translation Maka Sesungguhnya kamu tidak akan sanggup menjadikan orang-orang yang mati itu dapat mendengar, dan menjadikan orang-orang yang tuli dapat mendengar seruan, apabila mereka itu berpaling membelakang.

EN Translation And, verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away,

وَمَآ اَنْتَ بِهٰدِ الْعُمْيِ عَنْ ضَلٰلَتِهِمْۗ اِنْ تُسْمِعُ اِلَّا مَنْ يُّؤْمِنُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا فَهُمْ مُّسْلِمُوْنَ ٥٣

ID Translation Dan kamu sekali-kali tidak akan dapat memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang buta (mata hatinya) dari kesesatannya. Dan kamu tidak dapat memperdengarkan (petunjuk Tuhan) melainkan kepada orang-orang yang beriman dengan ayat-ayat Kami, mereka itulah orang-orang yang berserah diri (kepada Kami).

EN Translation just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error: none canst thou make hear [thy call] save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender them­selves unto Us.

۞ اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَّشَيْبَةً ۗيَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاۤءُۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْقَدِيْرُ ٥٤

ID Translation Allah, Dialah yang menciptakan kamu dari keadaan lemah, kemudian Dia menjadikan (kamu) sesudah keadaan lemah itu menjadi kuat, kemudian Dia menjadikan (kamu) sesudah kuat itu lemah (kembali) dan beruban. Dia menciptakan apa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan Dialah Yang Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Kuasa.

EN Translation IT IS GOD who creates you [all in a states of weak­ness, and then, after weakness, ordains strength [for you], and then, after [a period of] strength, ordains [old-age] weakness and grey hair. He creates what He wills; and He alone is all-knowing, infinite in His power.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ ەۙ مَا لَبِثُوْا غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ ۗ كَذٰلِكَ كَانُوْا يُؤْفَكُوْنَ ٥٥

ID Translation Dan pada hari terjadinya kiamat, bersumpahlah orang-orang yang berdosa; "mereka tidak berdiam (dalam kubur) melainkan sesaat (saja)". Seperti demikianlah mereka selalu dipalingkan (dari kebenaran).

EN Translation [He it is who will cause you to die, and in time will resurrect you.] And when the Last Hour dawns, those who had been lost in sin will swear that they had not tarried [on earth] longer than an hour: thus were they wont to delude themselves [all their lives]!

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْاِيْمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِيْ كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِۖ فَهٰذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٥٦

ID Translation Dan berkata orang-orang yang diberi ilmu pengetahuan dan keimanan (kepada orang-orang yang kafir): "Sesungguhnya kamu telah berdiam (dalam kubur) menurut ketetapan Allah, sampai hari berbangkit; maka inilah hari berbangkit itu akan tetapi kamu selalu tidak meyakini(nya)".

EN Translation But those who [in their lifetime] were endowed with knowledge and faith will say: “Indeed, you have been tardy in [accepting as true] what God has revealed, [and you have waited] until the Day of Resurrection: this, then, is the Day of Resurrection: but you - you were determined not to know it!

فَيَوْمَىِٕذٍ لَّا يَنْفَعُ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُوْنَ ٥٧

ID Translation Maka pada hari itu tidak bermanfaat (lagi) bagi orang-orang yang zalim permintaan uzur mereka, dan tidak pula mereka diberi kesempatan bertaubat lagi.

EN Translation And so, on that Day their excuse will be of no avail to those who were bent on evildoing, nor will they be allowed to make amends.

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِيْ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَلٍۗ وَلَىِٕنْ جِئْتَهُمْ بِاٰيَةٍ لَّيَقُوْلَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا مُبْطِلُوْنَ ٥٨

ID Translation Dan Sesungguhnya telah Kami buat dalam Al Quran ini segala macam perumpamaan untuk manusia. Dan Sesungguhnya jika kamu membawa kepada mereka suatu ayat, pastilah orang-orang yang kafir itu akan berkata: "Kamu tidak lain hanyalah orang-orang yang membuat kepalsuan belaka".

EN Translation AND, INDEED, We have propounded unto men all kinds of parables in this Qur’an. But thus it is: if thou approach them with any [such] message, those who are bent on denying the truth are sure to say, “You are but making false claims!”

كَذٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٥٩

ID Translation Demikianlah Allah mengunci mati hati orang-orang yang tidak (mau) memahami.

EN Translation In this way does God seal the hearts of those who do not [want to] know [the truth].

فَاصْبِرْ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُوْقِنُوْنَ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan bersabarlah kamu, sesungguhnya janji Allah adalah benar dan sekali-kali janganlah orang-orang yang tidak meyakini (kebenaran ayat-ayat Allah) itu menggelisahkan kamu.

EN Translation Remain, then, patient in adversity: verily, Gods promise [of resurrection] is true indeed - so let not those who are devoid of all inner certainty disquiet thy mind!

الۤمّۤ ۗ ١

ID Translation Alif Laam Miim

EN Translation Alif. Lam. Mim.

تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْحَكِيْمِۙ ٢

ID Translation Inilah ayat-ayat Al Quran yang mengandung hikmat,

EN Translation THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, full of wisdom,

هُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً لِّلْمُحْسِنِيْنَۙ ٣

ID Translation menjadi petunjuk dan rahmat bagi orang-orang yang berbuat kebaikan,

EN Translation providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good

الَّذِيْنَ يُقِيْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَهُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوْقِنُوْنَۗ ٤

ID Translation (yaitu) orang-orang yang mendirikan shalat, menunaikan zakat dan mereka yakin akan adanya negeri akhirat.

EN Translation who are constant in prayer and dispense charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come!

اُولٰۤىِٕكَ عَلٰى هُدًى مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمْ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ٥

ID Translation Mereka itulah orang-orang yang tetap mendapat petunjuk dari Tuhannya dan mereka itulah orang-orang yang beruntung.

EN Translation It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state!

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَّشْتَرِيْ لَهْوَ الْحَدِيْثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۖ وَّيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِيْنٌ ٦

ID Translation Dan di antara manusia (ada) orang yang mempergunakan perkataan yang tidak berguna untuk menyesatkan (manusia) dari jalan Allah tanpa pengetahuan dan menjadikan jalan Allah itu olok-olokan. Mereka itu akan memperoleh azab yang menghinakan.

EN Translation But among men there is many a one that prefers a mere play with words [to divine guidance], so as to lead [those] without knowledge astray from the path of God, and to turn it to ridicule: for such there is shameful suffering in store.

وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتُنَا وَلّٰى مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَاَنَّ فِيْٓ اُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًاۚ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ ٧

ID Translation Dan apabila dibacakan kepadanya ayat-ayat Kami dia berpaling dengan menyombongkan diri seolah-olah dia belum mendengarnya, seakan-akan ada sumbat di kedua telinganya; maka beri kabar gembiralah dia dengan azab yang pedih.

EN Translation For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come].

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنّٰتُ النَّعِيْمِۙ ٨

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal-amal saleh, bagi mereka surga-surga yang penuh kenikmatan,

EN Translation [As against this,] verily, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall have gardens of bliss,

خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۗ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقًّاۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٩

ID Translation Kekal mereka di dalamnya; sebagai janji Allah yang benar. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation to abide therein in accordance with God’s true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise.

خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا وَاَلْقٰى فِى الْاَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ اَنْ تَمِيْدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةٍۗ وَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيْمٍ ١٠

ID Translation Dia menciptakan langit tanpa tiang yang kamu melihatnya dan Dia meletakkan gunung-gunung (di permukaan) bumi supaya bumi itu tidak menggoyangkan kamu; dan memperkembang biakkan padanya segala macam jenis binatang. Dan Kami turunkan air hujan dari langit, lalu Kami tumbuhkan padanya segala macam tumbuh-tumbuhan yang baik.

EN Translation He [it is who] has created the skies without any supports that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We send down water from the skies, and thus We cause every noble kind [of life] to grow on earth.

هٰذَا خَلْقُ اللّٰهِ فَاَرُوْنِيْ مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۗ بَلِ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ١١

ID Translation Inilah ciptaan Allah, maka perlihatkanlah olehmu kepadaku apa yang telah diciptakan oleh sembahan-sembahan(mu) selain Allah. Sebenarnya orang-orang yang zalim itu berada di dalam kesesatan yang nyata.

EN Translation [All] this is God’s creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error!

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا لُقْمٰنَ الْحِكْمَةَ اَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلّٰهِ ۗوَمَنْ يَّشْكُرْ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهٖۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيْدٌ ١٢

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami berikan hikmat kepada Luqman, yaitu: "Bersyukurlah kepada Allah. Dan barangsiapa yang bersyukur (kepada Allah), maka sesungguhnya ia bersyukur untuk dirinya sendiri; dan barangsiapa yang tidak bersyukur, maka sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kaya lagi Maha Terpuji".

EN Translation and, indeed, we granted this wisdom unto Luq­man: “Be grateful unto God - for he who is grateful [unto Him] is but grateful for the good of his own self; whereas he who chooses to be ungrateful [ought to know that], verily, God is self-sufficient, ever to be praised!”

وَاِذْ قَالَ لُقْمٰنُ لِابْنِهٖ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهٗ يٰبُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيْمٌ ١٣

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) ketika Luqman berkata kepada anaknya, di waktu ia memberi pelajaran kepadanya: "Hai anakku, janganlah kamu mempersekutukan Allah, sesungguhnya mempersekutukan (Allah) adalah benar-benar kezaliman yang besar".

EN Translation And, lo, Luqman spoke thus unto his son, admonishing him: “O my dear son! Do not ascribe divine powers to aught beside God: for, behold, such [a false] ascribing of divinity is indeed an awesome wrong!

وَوَصَّيْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِۚ حَمَلَتْهُ اُمُّهٗ وَهْنًا عَلٰى وَهْنٍ وَّفِصَالُهٗ فِيْ عَامَيْنِ اَنِ اشْكُرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيْكَۗ اِلَيَّ الْمَصِيْرُ ١٤

ID Translation Dan Kami perintahkan kepada manusia (berbuat baik) kepada dua orang ibu-bapaknya; ibunya telah mengandungnya dalam keadaan lemah yang bertambah-tambah, dan menyapihnya dalam dua tahun. Bersyukurlah kepada-Ku dan kepada dua orang ibu bapakmu, hanya kepada-Kulah kembalimu.

EN Translation “And [God says:] ‘We have enjoined upon man goodness towards his parents: his mother bore him by bearing strain upon strain, and his utter dependence on her lasted two years: [hence, O man,] be grateful towards Me and towards thy parents, [and remember that] with Me is all journeys’ end.

وَاِنْ جَاهَدٰكَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِيْ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِى الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوْفًا ۖوَّاتَّبِعْ سَبِيْلَ مَنْ اَنَابَ اِلَيَّۚ ثُمَّ اِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَاُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٥

ID Translation Dan jika keduanya memaksamu untuk mempersekutukan dengan Aku sesuatu yang tidak ada pengetahuanmu tentang itu, maka janganlah kamu mengikuti keduanya, dan pergaulilah keduanya di dunia dengan baik, dan ikutilah jalan orang yang kembali kepada-Ku, kemudian hanya kepada-Kulah kembalimu, maka Kuberitakan kepadamu apa yang telah kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation “‘[Revere thy parents;] yet should they endeavour to make thee ascribe divinity, side by side with Me, to something which thy mind cannot accept [as divine], obey them not; but [even then] bear them company in this world’s life with kindness, and follow the path of those who turn towards Me. In the end, unto Me you all must return; and thereupon I shall make you [truly] understand all that you were doing [in life].’

يٰبُنَيَّ اِنَّهَآ اِنْ تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُنْ فِيْ صَخْرَةٍ اَوْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ اَوْ فِى الْاَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَطِيْفٌ خَبِيْرٌ ١٦

ID Translation (Luqman berkata): "Hai anakku, sesungguhnya jika ada (sesuatu perbuatan) seberat biji sawi, dan berada dalam batu atau di langit atau di dalam bumi, niscaya Allah akan mendatangkannya (membalasinya). Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Halus lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation “O my dear son,” [continued Luqman,] “verily, if there be but the weight of a mustard-seed, and though it be [hidden] in a rock, or in the skies, or in the earth, God will bring it to light: for, behold, God is unfathomable [in His wisdom], all-aware

يٰبُنَيَّ اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَآ اَصَابَكَۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ ١٧

ID Translation Hai anakku, dirikanlah shalat dan suruhlah (manusia) mengerjakan yang baik dan cegahlah (mereka) dari perbuatan yang mungkar dan bersabarlah terhadap apa yang menimpa kamu. Sesungguhnya yang demikian itu termasuk hal-hal yang diwajibkan (oleh Allah).

EN Translation “O my dear son! Be constant in prayer, and enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and bear in patience whatever [ill] may befall thee: this, behold, is something to set one’s heart upon!

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى الْاَرْضِ مَرَحًاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُوْرٍۚ ١٨

ID Translation Dan janganlah kamu memalingkan mukamu dari manusia (karena sombong) dan janganlah kamu berjalan di muka bumi dengan angkuh. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak menyukai orang-orang yang sombong lagi membanggakan diri.

EN Translation “And turn not thy cheek away from people in [false] pride, and walk not haughtily on earth: for, behold, God does not love anyone who, out of self- conceit, acts in a boastful manner.

وَاقْصِدْ فِيْ مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِكَۗ اِنَّ اَنْكَرَ الْاَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِيْرِ ١٩

ID Translation Dan sederhanalah kamu dalam berjalan dan lunakkanlah suaramu. Sesungguhnya seburuk-buruk suara ialah suara keledai.

EN Translation “Hence, be modest in thy bearing, and lower thy voice: for, behold, the ugliest of all voices is the [loud] voice of asses…”

اَلَمْ تَرَوْا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَّا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَاَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهٗ ظَاهِرَةً وَّبَاطِنَةً ۗوَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُّجَادِلُ فِى اللّٰهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَّلَا هُدًى وَّلَا كِتٰبٍ مُّنِيْرٍ ٢٠

ID Translation Tidakkah kamu perhatikan sesungguhnya Allah telah menundukkan untuk (kepentingan)mu apa yang di langit dan apa yang di bumi dan menyempurnakan untukmu nikmat-Nya lahir dan batin. Dan di antara manusia ada yang membantah tentang (keesaan) Allah tanpa ilmu pengetahuan atau petunjuk dan tanpa Kitab yang memberi penerangan.

EN Translation ARE YOU NOT aware that God has made subservient to you all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, and has lavished upon you His blessings, both outward and inward? And yet, among men there is many a one that argues about God without having any knowledge [of Him], without any guidance, and without any light-giving revelation;

وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوْا مَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوْا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَاۤءَنَاۗ اَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطٰنُ يَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلٰى عَذَابِ السَّعِيْرِ ٢١

ID Translation Dan apabila dikatakan kepada mereka: "Ikutilah apa yang diturunkan Allah". Mereka menjawab: "(Tidak), tapi kami (hanya) mengikuti apa yang kami dapati bapak-bapak kami mengerjakannya". Dan apakah mereka (akan mengikuti bapak-bapak mereka) walaupun syaitan itu menyeru mereka ke dalam siksa api yang menyala-nyala (neraka)?

EN Translation and when such [people] are told to follow that which God has bestowed from on high, they answer, “Nay, we shall follow that which we found our forefathers believing in and doing!” Why - [would you follow your forefathers] even if Satan had invited them unto the suffering of the blazing flame?

۞ وَمَنْ يُّسْلِمْ وَجْهَهٗٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقٰىۗ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْاُمُوْرِ ٢٢

ID Translation Dan barangsiapa yang menyerahkan dirinya kepada Allah, sedang dia orang yang berbuat kebaikan, maka sesungguhnya ia telah berpegang kepada buhul tali yang kokoh. Dan hanya kepada Allah-lah kesudahan segala urusan.

EN Translation Now whoever surrenders his whole being unto God, and is a doer of good withal, has indeed taken hold of a support most unfailing: for with God rests the final outcome of all events.

وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنْكَ كُفْرُهٗۗ اِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوْاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan barangsiapa kafir maka kekafirannya itu janganlah menyedihkanmu. Hanya kepada Kami-lah mereka kembali, lalu Kami beritakan kepada mereka apa yang telah mereka kerjakan. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui segala isi hati.

EN Translation But as for him who is bent on denying the truth - let not his denial grieve thee: unto Us they must return, and then We shall make them [truly] understand all that they were doing [in life]: for, verily, God has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men].

نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيْلًا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ اِلٰى عَذَابٍ غَلِيْظٍ ٢٤

ID Translation Kami biarkan mereka bersenang-senang sebentar, kemudian Kami paksa mereka (masuk) ke dalam siksa yang keras.

EN Translation We will let them enjoy them­selves for a short while - but in the end We shall drive them into suffering severe.

وَلَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ لَيَقُوْلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۗقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ ۗبَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٢٥

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya jika kamu tanyakan kepada mereka: "Siapakah yang menciptakan langit dan bumi?" Tentu mereka akan menjawab: "Allah". Katakanlah: "Segala puji bagi Allah"; tetapi kebanyakan mereka tidak mengetahui.

EN Translation AND THUS it is [with most people]: if thou ask them, “Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth?” - they will surely answer, “God.” Say: “[Then you ought to know that] all praise is due to God!”- for most of them do not know [what this implies].

لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيْدُ ٢٦

ID Translation Kepunyaan Allah-lah apa yang di langit dan yang di bumi. Sesungguhnya Allah Dialah Yang Maha Kaya lagi Maha Terpuji.

EN Translation Unto God belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth. Verily, God alone is self-sufficient, the One to whom all praise is due!

وَلَوْ اَنَّ مَا فِى الْاَرْضِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ اَقْلَامٌ وَّالْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهٗ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ سَبْعَةُ اَبْحُرٍ مَّا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمٰتُ اللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٢٧

ID Translation Dan seandainya pohon-pohon di bumi menjadi pena dan laut (menjadi tinta), ditambahkan kepadanya tujuh laut (lagi) sesudah (kering)nya, niscaya tidak akan habis-habisnya (dituliskan) kalimat Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation And if all the trees on earth were pens, and the sea [were] ink, with seven [morel seas yet added to it, the words of God would not be exhausted: for, verily, God is almighty, wise.

مَا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ اِلَّا كَنَفْسٍ وَّاحِدَةٍ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيْعٌۢ بَصِيْرٌ ٢٨

ID Translation Tidaklah Allah menciptakan dan membangkitkan kamu (dari dalam kubur) itu melainkan hanyalah seperti (menciptakan dan membangkitkan) satu jiwa saja. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Melihat.

EN Translation [For Him,] the creation of you all and the resurrection of you all is but like [the creation and resurrection of] a single soul: for, verily, God is all-hearing, all-seeing.

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُوْلِجُ الَّيْلَ فِى النَّهَارِ وَيُوْلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِى الَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَۖ كُلٌّ يَّجْرِيْٓ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَّاَنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرٌ ٢٩

ID Translation Tidakkah kamu memperhatikan, bahwa sesungguhnya Allah memasukkan malam ke dalam siang dan memasukkan siang ke dalam malam dan Dia tundukkan matahari dan bulan masing-masing berjalan sampai kepada waktu yang ditentukan, dan sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation Art thou not aware that it is God who makes the night grow longer by shortening the day, and makes the day grow longer by shortening the night, and that He has made the sun and the moon subservient [to His laws], each running its course for a term set [by Him] and that God is fully aware of all that you do?

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَاَنَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِ الْبَاطِلُۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيْرُ ٣٠

ID Translation Demikianlah, karena sesungguhnya Allah, Dialah yang hak dan sesungguhnya apa saja yang mereka seru selain dari Allah itulah yang batil; dan sesungguhnya Allah Dialah Yang Maha Tinggi lagi Maha Besar.

EN Translation Thus it is, because God alone is the Ultimate Truth, so that all that men invoke instead of Him is sheer falsehood; and because God alone is exalted, truly great!

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ الْفُلْكَ تَجْرِيْ فِى الْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ اللّٰهِ لِيُرِيَكُمْ مِّنْ اٰيٰتِهٖۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوْرٍ ٣١

ID Translation Tidakkah kamu memperhatikan bahwa sesungguhnya kapal itu berlayar di laut dengan nikmat Allah, supaya diperlihatkan-Nya kepadamu sebahagian dari tanda-tanda (kekuasaan)-Nya. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi semua orang yang sangat sabar lagi banyak bersyukur.

EN Translation Art thou not aware how the ships speed through the sea by God’s favour, so that He might show you some of His wonders? Herein, behold, there are messages indeed for all who are wholly patient in adversity and deeply grate­ful [to God].

وَاِذَا غَشِيَهُمْ مَّوْجٌ كَالظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ ەۚ فَلَمَّا نَجّٰىهُمْ اِلَى الْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُمْ مُّقْتَصِدٌۗ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُوْرٍ ٣٢

ID Translation Dan apabila mereka dilamun ombak yang besar seperti gunung, mereka menyeru Allah dengan memurnikan ketaatan kepada-Nya maka tatkala Allah menyelamatkan mereka sampai di daratan, lalu sebagian mereka tetap menempuh jalan yang lurus. Dan tidak ada yang mengingkari ayat-ayat Kami selain orang-orang yang tidak setia lagi ingkar.

EN Translation For [thus it is with most men:] when the waves engulf them like shadows [of death], they call unto God, sincere [at that moment] in their faith in Him alone: but as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, some of them stop half-way [between belief and unbelief] Yet none could knowingly reject Our messages unless he be utterly perfidious, ingrate.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوْا رَبَّكُمْ وَاخْشَوْا يَوْمًا لَّا يَجْزِيْ وَالِدٌ عَنْ وَّلَدِهٖۖ وَلَا مَوْلُوْدٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَنْ وَّالِدِهٖ شَيْـًٔاۗ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَاۗ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللّٰهِ الْغَرُوْرُ ٣٣

ID Translation Hai manusia, bertakwalah kepada Tuhanmu dan takutilah suatu hari yang (pada hari itu) seorang bapak tidak dapat menolong anaknya dan seorang anak tidak dapat (pula) menolong bapaknya sedikitpun. Sesungguhnya janji Allah adalah benar, maka janganlah sekali-kali kehidupan dunia memperdayakan kamu, dan jangan (pula) penipu (syaitan) memperdayakan kamu dalam (mentaati) Allah.

EN Translation O MEN! Be conscious of your Sustainer, and stand in awe of the Day on which no parent will be of any avail to his child, nor a child will in the least avail his parent! Verily, God’s promise [of resurrection] is true in­deed: let not, then, the life of this world deludes you, and let not [your own] deceptive thoughts about God delude you!

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عِنْدَهٗ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِۚ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى الْاَرْحَامِۗ وَمَا تَدْرِيْ نَفْسٌ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًاۗ وَمَا تَدْرِيْ نَفْسٌۢ بِاَيِّ اَرْضٍ تَمُوْتُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ خَبِيْرٌ ٣٤

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah, hanya pada sisi-Nya sajalah pengetahuan tentang Hari Kiamat; dan Dialah Yang menurunkan hujan, dan mengetahui apa yang ada dalam rahim. Dan tiada seorangpun yang dapat mengetahui (dengan pasti) apa yang akan diusahakannya besok. Dan tiada seorangpun yang dapat mengetahui di bumi mana dia akan mati. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Mengenal.

EN Translation Verily, with God alone rests the knowledge of when the Last Hour will come: and He [it is who] sends down rain; and He [alone] knows what is in the wombs: whereas no one knows what he will reap tomorrow, and no one knows in what land he will die, Verily. God [alone] is all-knowing, all-aware.

الۤمّۤ ۗ ١

ID Translation Alif Laam Miim

EN Translation Alif. Lam. Mim.

تَنْزِيْلُ الْكِتٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ مِنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۗ ٢

ID Translation Turunnya Al-Quran yang tidak ada keraguan di dalamnya, (adalah) dari Tuhan semesta alam.

EN Translation The bestowal from on high of this divine writ issues, beyond any doubt, from the Sustainer of all the worlds:

اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ افْتَرٰىهُ ۚ بَلْ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ اَتٰىهُمْ مِّنْ نَّذِيْرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ ٣

ID Translation Tetapi mengapa mereka (orang kafir) mengatakan: "Dia Muhammad mengada-adakannya". Sebenarnya Al-Quran itu adalah kebenaran dari Rabbmu, agar kamu memberi peringatan kepada kaum yang belum datang kepada mereka orang yang memberi peringatan sebelum kamu; mudah-mudahan mereka mendapat petunjuk.

EN Translation and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, “[Muhammad] has invented it!” Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path.

اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِيْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِۗ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا شَفِيْعٍۗ اَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٤

ID Translation Allah lah yang menciptakan langit dan bumi dan apa yang ada di antara keduanya dalam enam masa, kemudian Dia bersemayam di atas 'Arsy. Tidak ada bagi kamu selain dari pada-Nya seorang penolongpun dan tidak (pula) seorang pemberi syafa'at. Maka apakah kamu tidak memperhatikan?

EN Translation IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves?

يُدَبِّرُ الْاَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ اِلَيْهِ فِيْ يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهٗٓ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوْنَ ٥

ID Translation Dia mengatur urusan dari langit ke bumi, kemudian (urusan) itu naik kepada-Nya dalam satu hari yang kadarnya adalah seribu tahun menurut perhitunganmu

EN Translation He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning.

ذٰلِكَ عٰلِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُۙ ٦

ID Translation Yang demikian itu ialah Tuhan Yang mengetahui yang ghaib dan yang nyata, Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation Such is He who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being’s perception, as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature’s senses or mind: the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace,

الَّذِيْٓ اَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهٗ وَبَدَاَ خَلْقَ الْاِنْسَانِ مِنْ طِيْنٍ ٧

ID Translation Yang membuat segala sesuatu yang Dia ciptakan sebaik-baiknya dan Yang memulai penciptaan manusia dari tanah.

EN Translation who makes most excellent everything that He creates. Thus, He begins the creation of man out of clay;

ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهٗ مِنْ سُلٰلَةٍ مِّنْ مَّاۤءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ ۚ ٨

ID Translation Kemudian Dia menjadikan keturunannya dari saripati air yang hina.

EN Translation then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid;

ثُمَّ سَوّٰىهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيْهِ مِنْ رُّوْحِهٖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَالْاَفْـِٕدَةَۗ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٩

ID Translation Kemudian Dia menyempurnakan dan meniupkan ke dalamnya roh (ciptaan)-Nya dan Dia menjadikan bagi kamu pendengaran, penglihatan dan hati; (tetapi) kamu sedikit sekali bersyukur.

EN Translation and then He forms him in accordance with what he is meant to be, and breathes into him of His spirit: and [thus, O men,] He endows you with hearing, and sight, and feelings as well as minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!

وَقَالُوْٓا ءَاِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِى الْاَرْضِ ءَاِنَّا لَفِيْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍ ەۗ بَلْ هُمْ بِلِقَاۤءِ رَبِّهِمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ١٠

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Apakah bila kami telah lenyap (hancur) dalam tanah, kami benar-benar akan berada dalam ciptaan yang baru?" Bahkan mereka ingkar akan menemui Tuhannya.

EN Translation For, [many are] they [who] say, “What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of crea­tion?” Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer!

۞ قُلْ يَتَوَفّٰىكُمْ مَّلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِيْ وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ١١

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Malaikat maut yang diserahi untuk (mencabut nyawa)mu akan mematikanmu, kemudian hanya kepada Tuhanmulah kamu akan dikembalikan".

EN Translation Say: “[One day,] the angel of death who has been given charge of you will gather you, and then unto your Sustainer you will be brought back.”

وَلَوْ تَرٰىٓ اِذِ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ نَاكِسُوْا رُءُوْسِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۗ رَبَّنَآ اَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا اِنَّا مُوْقِنُوْنَ ١٢

ID Translation Dan, jika sekiranya kamu melihat mereka ketika orang-orang yang berdosa itu menundukkan kepalanya di hadapan Tuhannya, (mereka berkata): "Ya Tuhan kami, kami telah melihat dan mendengar, maka kembalikanlah kami (ke dunia), kami akan mengerjakan amal saleh, sesungguhnya kami adalah orang-orang yang yakin".

EN Translation If thou couldst but see [how it will be on Judgment Day], when those who are lost in sin will hang their heads before their Sustainer, [saying:] “O our Sustainer! [Now] we have seen, and we have heard! Return us, then, [to our earthly life] that we may do good deeds: for [now], behold, we are certain [of the truth]!”

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَاٰتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدٰىهَا وَلٰكِنْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ مِنِّيْ لَاَمْلَـَٔنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ ١٣

ID Translation Dan kalau Kami menghendaki niscaya Kami akan berikan kepada tiap-tiap jiwa petunjuk, akan tetapi telah tetaplah perkataan dari pada-Ku: "Sesungguhnya akan Aku penuhi neraka jahannam itu dengan jin dan manusia bersama-sama".

EN Translation Yet had We so willed, We could indeed have imposed Our guidance upon every human being: but [We have not willed it thus - and so] that word of Mine has come true: “Most certainly will I fill hell with invisible beings as well as with humans, all together!”

فَذُوْقُوْا بِمَا نَسِيْتُمْ لِقَاۤءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَاۚ اِنَّا نَسِيْنٰكُمْ وَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ الْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٤

ID Translation Maka rasailah olehmu (siksa ini) disebabkan kamu melupakan akan pertemuan dengan harimu ini. Sesungguhnya Kami telah melupakan kamu (pula) dan rasakanlah siksa yang kekal, disebabkan apa yang selalu kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation [And He will say unto the sinners:] “Taste, then, [the recompense] for your having been obli­vious of the coming of this your Day [of Judgment] - for, verily, We are [now] oblivious of you: taste, then, [this] abiding suffering for all [the evil] that you were wont to do!”

اِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهَا خَرُّوْا سُجَّدًا وَّسَبَّحُوْا بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ۩ ١٥

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang yang benar-benar percaya kepada ayat-ayat Kami adalah mereka yang apabila diperingatkan dengan ayat-ayat itu mereka segera bersujud seraya bertasbih dan memuji Rabbnya, dan lagi pula mereka tidaklah sombong.

EN Translation ONLY THEY [truly] believe in Our messages who, whenever they are conveyed to them, fall down, prostrating themselves in adoration, and extol their Sustainer’s limitless glory and praise; and who are never filled with false pride;

تَتَجَافٰى جُنُوْبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًا وَّطَمَعًاۖ وَّمِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ ١٦

ID Translation Lambung mereka jauh dari tempat tidurnya dan mereka selalu berdoa kepada Rabbnya dengan penuh rasa takut dan harap, serta mereka menafkahkan apa apa rezeki yang Kami berikan.

EN Translation [and] who are im­pelled to rise from their beds [at night] to call out to their Sustainer in fear and hope; and who spend on others out of what We provide for them as sus­tenance.

فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّآ اُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ قُرَّةِ اَعْيُنٍۚ جَزَاۤءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٧

ID Translation Tak seorangpun mengetahui berbagai nikmat yang menanti, yang indah dipandang sebagai balasan bagi mereka, atas apa yang mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation And [as for all such believers,] no human being can imagine what blissful delights, as yet hidden, await them [in the life to come] as a reward for all that they did.

اَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًاۗ لَا يَسْتَوٗنَ ١٨

ID Translation Apakah orang-orang beriman itu sama dengan orang-orang yang fasik? Mereka tidak sama.

EN Translation Is, then, he who [in his earthly life] was a believer to be compared with one who was in­iquitous? [Nay,] these two are not equal!

اَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنّٰتُ الْمَأْوٰىۖ نُزُلًا ۢبِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٩

ID Translation Adapun orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal saleh, maka bagi mereka jannah tempat kediaman, sebagai pahala terhadap apa yang mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation As for those who attain to faith and do right­eous deeds - gardens of rest await them, as a wel­come [from God], in result of what they did;

وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ فَسَقُوْا فَمَأْوٰىهُمُ النَّارُ كُلَّمَآ اَرَادُوْٓا اَنْ يَّخْرُجُوْا مِنْهَآ اُعِيْدُوْا فِيْهَا وَقِيْلَ لَهُمْ ذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِيْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan adapun orang-orang yang fasik (kafir) maka tempat mereka adalah jahannam. Setiap kali mereka hendak keluar daripadanya, mereka dikembalikan ke dalamnya dan dikatakan kepada mereka: "Rasakanlah siksa neraka yang dahulu kamu mendustakannya".

EN Translation but as for those who are lost in iniquity - their goal is the fire: as oft as they will try to come out of it, they will be thrown back into it; and they will be told, “Taste [now] this suffering through fire which you were wont to call a lie!”

وَلَنُذِيْقَنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَدْنٰى دُوْنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ ٢١

ID Translation Dan Sesungguhnya Kami merasakan kepada mereka sebahagian azab yang dekat (di dunia) sebelum azab yang lebih besar (di akhirat), mudah-mudahan mereka kembali (ke jalan yang benar).

EN Translation However, ere [We condemn them to] that supreme suffering, We shall most certainly let them taste of a suffering closer at hand, so that they might [repent and] mend their ways.

وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذُكِّرَ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهٖ ثُمَّ اَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا ۗاِنَّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ مُنْتَقِمُوْنَ ٢٢

ID Translation Dan siapakah yang lebih zalim daripada orang yang telah diperingatkan dengan ayat-ayat Tuhannya, kemudian ia berpaling daripadanya? Sesungguhnya Kami akan memberikan pembalasan kepada orang-orang yang berdosa.

EN Translation And who could be more wicked than he to whom his Sustainer’s messages are conveyed and who thereupon turns away from them? Verily, We shall inflict Our retribution on those who are [thus] lost in sin!

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ فَلَا تَكُنْ فِيْ مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْ لِّقَاۤىِٕهٖ وَجَعَلْنٰهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَۚ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan Sesungguhnya Kami telah berikan kepada Musa Al-Kitab (Taurat), maka janganlah kamu (Muhammad) ragu menerima (Al-Quran itu) dan Kami jadikan Al-Kitab (Taurat) itu petunjuk bagi Bani Israil.

EN Translation AND, INDEED, [O Muhammad,] We did vouchsafe revelation unto Moses [as well]: so be not in doubt of [thy] having met with the same [truth in the revelation vouchsafed to thee]. And [just as] We caused that [earlier revelation] to be a guidance for the children of Israel,

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً يَّهْدُوْنَ بِاَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوْاۗ وَكَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يُوْقِنُوْنَ ٢٤

ID Translation Dan Kami jadikan di antara mereka itu pemimpin-pemimpin yang memberi petunjuk dengan perintah Kami ketika mereka sabar. Dan adalah mereka meyakini ayat-ayat Kami.

EN Translation and [as] We raised among them leaders who, so long as they bore themselves with patience and had sure faith in Our messages, guided [their people] in accordance with Our behest [so, too, shall it be with the divine writ revealed unto thee, O Muhammad.]

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فِيْمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ٢٥

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Tuhanmu Dialah yang memberikan keputusan di antara mereka pada hari kiamat tentang apa yang selalu mereka perselisihkan padanya.

EN Translation VERILY, it is God alone who will decide between men on Resurrection Day with regard to all on which they were wont to differ.

اَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنَ الْقُرُوْنِ يَمْشُوْنَ فِيْ مَسٰكِنِهِمْ ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍۗ اَفَلَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ ٢٦

ID Translation Dan apakah tidak menjadi petunjuk bagi mereka, berapa banyak umat sebelum mereka yang telah Kami binasakan sedangkan mereka sendiri berjalan di tempat-tempat kediaman mereka itu. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu terdapat tanda-tanda (kekuasaan Allah). Maka apakah mereka tidak mendengarkan?

EN Translation [But] can, then, they [who deny the truth] learn no lesson by recalling how many a generation We have destroyed before their time? [people] in whose dwelling-places they [themselves now] walk about? In this, behold, there are messages indeed: will they not, then, listen?

اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا نَسُوْقُ الْمَاۤءَ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهٖ زَرْعًا تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ اَنْعَامُهُمْ وَاَنْفُسُهُمْۗ اَفَلَا يُبْصِرُوْنَ ٢٧

ID Translation Dan apakah mereka tidak memperhatikan, bahwasanya Kami menghalau (awan yang mengandung) air ke bumi yang tandus, lalu Kami tumbuhkan dengan air hujan itu tanaman yang daripadanya makan hewan ternak mereka dan mereka sendiri. Maka apakah mereka tidak memperhatikan?

EN Translation Are they not aware that it is We who drive the rain onto dry land devoid of herbage, and thereby bring forth herbage of which their cattle and they themselves do eat? Can they not, then, see [the truth of resurrection]?

وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْفَتْحُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٢٨

ID Translation Dan mereka bertanya: "Bilakah kemenangan itu (datang) jika kamu memang orang-orang yang benar?"

EN Translation But they answer: “When will that final decision take place, if what you [believers] say is true?”

قُلْ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لَا يَنْفَعُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِيْمَانُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Pada hari kemenangan itu tidak berguna bagi orang-orang kafir, iman mereka dan tidak pula mereka diberi tangguh".

EN Translation Say: “On the Day of the Final Decision, their [newly-found] faith will be of no use to those who [in their lifetime] were bent on denying the truth, nor will they be granted respite!” –

فَاَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَانْتَظِرْ اِنَّهُمْ مُّنْتَظِرُوْنَ ٣٠

ID Translation Maka berpalinglah kamu dari mereka dan tunggulah, sesungguhnya mereka (juga) menunggu.

EN Translation and then leave them alone, and wait [for the truth to unfold as] they, behold, are waiting.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اتَّقِ اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًاۙ ١

ID Translation Hai Nabi, bertakwalah kepada Allah dan janganlah kamu menuruti (keinginan) orang-orang kafir dan orang-orang munafik. Sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana,

EN Translation PROPHET! Remain conscious of God, and defer not to the deniers of the truth and the hypo­crites: for God is truly all-knowing, wise.

وَّاتَّبِعْ مَا يُوْحٰىٓ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًاۙ ٢

ID Translation dan ikutilah apa yang diwahyukan Tuhan kepadamu. Sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation And follow [but] that which comes unto thee through revelation from thy Sustainer: for God is truly aware of all that you do, [O men].

وَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۗوَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ وَكِيْلًا ٣

ID Translation dan bertawakkallah kepada Allah. Dan cukuplah Allah sebagai Pemelihara.

EN Translation And place thy trust in God [alone]: for none is as worthy of trust as God.

مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِّنْ قَلْبَيْنِ فِيْ جَوْفِهٖ ۚوَمَا جَعَلَ اَزْوَاجَكُمُ الّٰـِٕۤيْ تُظٰهِرُوْنَ مِنْهُنَّ اُمَّهٰتِكُمْ ۚوَمَا جَعَلَ اَدْعِيَاۤءَكُمْ اَبْنَاۤءَكُمْۗ ذٰلِكُمْ قَوْلُكُمْ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ ۗوَاللّٰهُ يَقُوْلُ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَهْدِى السَّبِيْلَ ٤

ID Translation Allah sekali-kali tidak menjadikan bagi seseorang dua buah hati dalam rongganya; dan Dia tidak menjadikan istri-istrimu yang kamu zhihar itu sebagai ibumu, dan Dia tidak menjadikan anak-anak angkatmu sebagai anak kandungmu (sendiri). Yang demikian itu hanyalah perkataanmu di mulutmu saja. Dan Allah mengatakan yang sebenarnya dan Dia menunjukkan jalan (yang benar).

EN Translation NEVER has God endowed any man with two hearts in one body: and [just as] He has never made your wives whom you may have declared to be “as unlawful to you as your mothers’ bodies” [truly] your mothers, so, too, has He never made your adopted sons [truly] your sons: these are but [figures of] speech uttered by your mouths - whereas God speaks the [absolute] truth: and it is He alone who can show [you] the right path.

اُدْعُوْهُمْ لِاٰبَاۤىِٕهِمْ هُوَ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۚ فَاِنْ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوْٓا اٰبَاۤءَهُمْ فَاِخْوَانُكُمْ فِى الدِّيْنِ وَمَوَالِيْكُمْ ۗوَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ فِيْمَآ اَخْطَأْتُمْ بِهٖ وَلٰكِنْ مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوْبُكُمْ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا ٥

ID Translation Panggilah mereka (anak-anak angkat itu) dengan (memakai) nama bapak-bapak mereka; itulah yang lebih adil pada sisi Allah, dan jika kamu tidak mengetahui bapak-bapak mereka, maka (panggilah mereka sebagai) saudara-saudaramu seagama dan maula-maulamu. Dan tidak ada dosa atasmu terhadap apa yang kamu khilaf padanya, tetapi (yang ada dosanya) apa yang disengaja oleh hatimu. Dan adalah Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation [As for your adopted children,] call them by their [real] fathers’ names: this is more equitable in the sight of God; and if you know not who their fathers were, [call them] your brethren in faith and your friends. However, you will incur no sin if you err in this respect: [what really matters is] but what your hearts intend - for God is indeed much-forgiv­ing, a dispenser of grace!

اَلنَّبِيُّ اَوْلٰى بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهٗٓ اُمَّهٰتُهُمْ ۗوَاُولُوا الْاَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلٰى بِبَعْضٍ فِيْ كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُهٰجِرِيْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ تَفْعَلُوْٓا اِلٰٓى اَوْلِيَاۤىِٕكُمْ مَّعْرُوْفًا ۗ كَانَ ذٰلِكَ فِى الْكِتٰبِ مَسْطُوْرًا ٦

ID Translation Nabi itu (hendaknya) lebih utama bagi orang-orang mukmin dari diri mereka sendiri dan isteri-isterinya adalah ibu-ibu mereka. Dan orang-orang yang mempunyai hubungan darah satu sama lain lebih berhak (waris-mewarisi) di dalam Kitab Allah daripada orang-orang mukmim dan orang-orang Muhajirin, kecuali kalau kamu berbuat baik kepada saudara-saudaramu (seagama). Adalah yang demikian itu telah tertulis di dalam Kitab (Allah).

EN Translation The Prophet has a higher claim on the believers than [they have on] their own selves, [seeing that he is as a father to them] and his wives are their mothers: and they who are [thus] closely related have, in accordance with God’s decree, a higher claim upon one another than [was even the case between] the believers [of Yathrib] and those who had migrated [there for the sake of God]. None the less, you are to act with utmost goodness towards your [other] close friends as well: this [too] is written down in God’s decree.

وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ مِيْثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنْكَ وَمِنْ نُّوْحٍ وَّاِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَمُوْسٰى وَعِيْسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۖوَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِّيْثَاقًا غَلِيْظًاۙ ٧

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) ketika Kami mengambil perjanjian dari nabi-nabi dan dari kamu (sendiri) dari Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa dan Isa putra Maryam, dan Kami telah mengambil dari mereka perjanjian yang teguh.

EN Translation AND LO! We did accept a solemn pledge from all the prophets from thee, [O Muhammad,] as well as from Noah, and Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary -: for We accepted a most weighty, solemn pledge from [all of] them,

لِّيَسْـَٔلَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ عَنْ صِدْقِهِمْ ۚوَاَعَدَّ لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا ٨

ID Translation agar Dia menanyakan kepada orang-orang yang benar tentang kebenaran mereka dan Dia menyediakan bagi orang-orang kafir siksa yang pedih.

EN Translation so that [at the end of time] He might ask those men of truth as to [what response] their truthfulness [had received on earth]. And grievous suffering has He readied for all who deny the truth!

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ جَاۤءَتْكُمْ جُنُوْدٌ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيْحًا وَّجُنُوْدًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرًاۚ ٩

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, ingatlah akan nikmat Allah (yang telah dikurniakan) kepadamu ketika datang kepadamu tentara-tentara, lalu Kami kirimkan kepada mereka angin topan dan tentara yang tidak dapat kamu melihatnya. Dan adalah Allah Maha Melihat akan apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! Call to mind the blessings which God bestowed on you (at the time) when [enemy] hosts came down upon you, where­upon We let loose against them a storm wind and [heavenly] hosts that you could not see: yet God saw all that you did.

اِذْ جَاۤءُوْكُمْ مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ اَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَاِذْ زَاغَتِ الْاَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ الظُّنُوْنَا۠ ۗ ١٠

ID Translation (Yaitu) ketika mereka datang kepadamu dari atas dan dari bawahmu, dan ketika tidak tetap lagi penglihatan(mu) dan hatimu naik menyesak sampai ke tenggorokan dan kamu menyangka terhadap Allah dengan bermacam-macam purbasangka.

EN Translation [Remember what you felt] when they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when [your] eyes became dim and [your] hearts came up to [your] throats, and [when] most conflicting thoughts about God passed through your minds:

هُنَالِكَ ابْتُلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَزُلْزِلُوْا زِلْزَالًا شَدِيْدًا ١١

ID Translation Disitulah diuji orang-orang mukmin dan digoncangkan (hatinya) dengan goncangan yang sangat.

EN Translation [for] there and then were the believers tried, and shaken with a shock severe.

وَاِذْ يَقُوْلُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ مَّا وَعَدَنَا اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗٓ اِلَّا غُرُوْرًا ١٢

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) ketika orang-orang munafik dan orang-orang yang berpenyakit dalam hatinya berkata: "Allah dan Rasul-Nya tidak menjanjikan kepada kami melainkan tipu daya".

EN Translation And [remember how it was] when the hypo­crites and those with hearts diseased said [to one another], “God and His Apostle have promised us nothing but delusions!”

وَاِذْ قَالَتْ طَّاۤىِٕفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ يٰٓاَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوْا ۚوَيَسْتَأْذِنُ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمُ النَّبِيَّ يَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّ بُيُوْتَنَا عَوْرَةٌ ۗوَمَا هِيَ بِعَوْرَةٍ ۗاِنْ يُّرِيْدُوْنَ اِلَّا فِرَارًا ١٣

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) ketika segolongan di antara mreka berkata: "Hai penduduk Yatsrib (Madinah), tidak ada tempat bagimu, maka kembalilah kamu". Dan sebahagian dari mereka minta izin kepada Nabi (untuk kembali pulang) dengan berkata: "Sesungguhnya rumah-rumah kami terbuka (tidak ada penjaga)". Dan rumah-rumah itu sekali-kali tidak terbuka, mereka tidak lain hanya hendak lari.

EN Translation and when some of them said, “O you people of Yathrib! You cannot withstand [the enemy] here: hence, go back [to your homes]!” — Whereupon a party from among them asked leave of the Prophet, saying, “Behold, our houses are exposed [to attack]!” — The while they were not [really] exposed: they wanted nothing but to flee.

وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ اَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُـِٕلُوا الْفِتْنَةَ لَاٰتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوْا بِهَآ اِلَّا يَسِيْرًا ١٤

ID Translation Kalau (Yatsrib) diserang dari segala penjuru, kemudian diminta kepada mereka supaya murtad, niscaya mereka mengerjakannya; dan mereka tiada akan bertangguh untuk murtad itu melainkan dalam waktu yang singkat.

EN Translation Now if their town had been stormed, and they had been asked [by the enemy] to commit apos­tasy, [the hypocrites] would have done so without much delay

وَلَقَدْ كَانُوْا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّوْنَ الْاَدْبَارَ ۗوَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللّٰهِ مَسْـُٔوْلًا ١٥

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya mereka sebelum itu telah berjanji kepada Allah: "Mereka tidak akan berbalik ke belakang (mundur)". Dan adalah perjanjian dengan Allah akan diminta pertanggungan jawabnya.

EN Translation although ere that they had vowed before God that they would never turn their backs [on His message]: and a vow made to God must surely be answered for!

قُلْ لَّنْ يَّنْفَعَكُمُ الْفِرَارُ اِنْ فَرَرْتُمْ مِّنَ الْمَوْتِ اَوِ الْقَتْلِ وَاِذًا لَّا تُمَتَّعُوْنَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ١٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Lari itu sekali-kali tidaklah berguna bagimu, jika kamu melarikan diri dari kematian atau pembunuhan, dan jika (kamu terhindar dari kematian) kamu tidak juga akan mengecap kesenangan kecuali sebentar saja".

EN Translation Say: “Whether you flee from [natural] death or from being slain [in battle], flight will not profit you - for, however you fare, you are not [allowed] to enjoy life for more than a little while!”

قُلْ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَعْصِمُكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ اِنْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوْۤءًا اَوْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةً ۗوَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِيًّا وَّلَا نَصِيْرًا ١٧

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Siapakah yang dapat melindungi kamu dari (takdir) Allah jika Dia menghendaki bencana atasmu atau menghendaki rahmat untuk dirimu?" Dan orang-orang munafik itu tidak memperoleh bagi mereka pelindung dan penolong selain Allah.

EN Translation Say: “Who is there that could keep you away from God if it be His will to harm you, or if it be His will to show you mercy?” For, [do they not know that] besides God they can find none to protect them, and none to bring them succour?

۞ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللّٰهُ الْمُعَوِّقِيْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَالْقَاۤىِٕلِيْنَ لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ اِلَيْنَا ۚوَلَا يَأْتُوْنَ الْبَأْسَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًاۙ ١٨

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Allah mengetahui orang-orang yang menghalang-halangi di antara kamu dan orang-orang yang berkata kepada saudara-saudaranya: "Marilah kepada kami". Dan mereka tidak mendatangi peperangan melainkan sebentar.

EN Translation God is indeed aware of those of you who would divert others [from fighting in His cause], as well as of those who say to their brethren, “Come hither to us [and face the enemy]!” — The while they [themselves] join battle but seldom,

اَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ الْخَوْفُ رَاَيْتَهُمْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَيْكَ تَدُوْرُ اَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِيْ يُغْشٰى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِۚ فَاِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوْكُمْ بِاَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ اَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوْا فَاَحْبَطَ اللّٰهُ اَعْمَالَهُمْۗ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرًا ١٩

ID Translation Mereka bakhil terhadapmu, apabila datang ketakutan (bahaya), kamu lihat mereka itu memandang kepadamu dengan mata yang terbalik-balik seperti orang yang pingsan karena akan mati, dan apabila ketakutan telah hilang, mereka mencaci kamu dengan lidah yang tajam, sedang mereka bakhil untuk berbuat kebaikan. Mereka itu tidak beriman, maka Allah menghapuskan (pahala) amalnya. Dan yang demikian itu adalah mudah bagi Allah.

EN Translation begrudging you all help. But then, when danger threatens, thou canst see them looking to thee [for help, O Prophet], their eyes rolling [in terror] like [the eyes of] one who is overshadowed by death: yet as soon as the danger has passed, they will assail you [believers] with sharp tongues, begrudging you all that is good! [People like] these have never known faith - and therefore God will cause all their works to come to nought: for this is indeed easy for God.

يَحْسَبُوْنَ الْاَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوْا ۚوَاِنْ يَّأْتِ الْاَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوْا لَوْ اَنَّهُمْ بَادُوْنَ فِى الْاَعْرَابِ يَسْاَلُوْنَ عَنْ اَنْۢبَاۤىِٕكُمْ ۖوَلَوْ كَانُوْا فِيْكُمْ مَّا قٰتَلُوْٓا اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ٢٠

ID Translation Mereka mengira (bahwa) golongan-golongan yang bersekutu itu belum pergi; dan jika golongan-golongan yang bersekutu itu datang kembali, niscaya mereka ingin berada di dusun-dusun bersama-sama orang Arab Badwi, sambil menanya-nanyakan tentang berita-beritamu. Dan sekiranya mereka berada bersama kamu, mereka tidak akan berperang, melainkan sebentar saja.

EN Translation They think that the Confederates have not [really] withdrawn; and should the Confederates return, these [hypocrites] would prefer to be in the desert, among the bedouin, asking for news about you, [O believers, from far away;] and even were they to find themselves in your midst, they would but make a pretence at fighting [by your side].

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ اُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوا اللّٰهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْاٰخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًاۗ ٢١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya telah ada pada (diri) Rasulullah itu suri teladan yang baik bagimu (yaitu) bagi orang yang mengharap (rahmat) Allah dan (kedatangan) hari kiamat dan dia banyak menyebut Allah.

EN Translation VERILY, in the Apostle of God you have a good example for everyone who looks forward [with hope and awe] to God and the Last Day, and remembers God unceasingly.

وَلَمَّا رَاَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الْاَحْزَابَۙ قَالُوْا هٰذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَصَدَقَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ ۖوَمَا زَادَهُمْ اِلَّآ اِيْمَانًا وَّتَسْلِيْمًاۗ ٢٢

ID Translation Dan tatkala orang-orang mukmin melihat golongan-golongan yang bersekutu itu, mereka berkata: "Inilah yang dijanjikan Allah dan Rasul-Nya kepada kita". Dan benarlah Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Dan yang demikian itu tidaklah menambah kepada mereka kecuali iman dan ketundukan.

EN Translation And [so,] when the believers saw the Con­federates [advancing against them], they said, “This is what God and His Apostle have promised us!”- and, “Truly spoke God and His Apostle!” and all this but increased their faith and their readiness to surrender themselves unto God.

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوْا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ قَضٰى نَحْبَهٗۙ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّنْتَظِرُ ۖوَمَا بَدَّلُوْا تَبْدِيْلًاۙ ٢٣

ID Translation Di antara orang-orang mukmin itu ada orang-orang yang menepati apa yang telah mereka janjikan kepada Allah; maka di antara mereka ada yang gugur. Dan di antara mereka ada (pula) yang menunggu-nunggu dan mereka tidak merubah (janjinya),

EN Translation Among the believers are men who have [always] been true to what they have vowed before God; and among them are such as have [already] redeemed their pledge by death, and such as yet await [its fulfillment] without having changed [their resolve] in the least.

لِيَجْزِيَ اللّٰهُ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ بِصِدْقِهِمْ وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ اِنْ شَاۤءَ اَوْ يَتُوْبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًاۚ ٢٤

ID Translation supaya Allah memberikan balasan kepada orang-orang yang benar itu karena kebenarannya, dan menyiksa orang munafik jika dikehendaki-Nya, atau menerima taubat mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation [Such trials are imposed upon man] so that God may reward the truthful for having been true to their word, and cause the hypocrites to suffer - if that be His will - or [if they repent,] accept their repen­tance: for, verily, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

وَرَدَّ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لَمْ يَنَالُوْا خَيْرًا ۗوَكَفَى اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ الْقِتَالَ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيْزًاۚ ٢٥

ID Translation Dan Allah menghalau orang-orang yang kafir itu yang keadaan mereka penuh kejengkelan, (lagi) mereka tidak memperoleh keuntungan apapun. Dan Allah menghindarkan orang-orang mukmin dari peperangan. Dan adalah Allah Maha Kuat lagi Maha Perkasa.

EN Translation Thus, for all their fury, God repulsed those who were bent on denying the truth; no advantage did they gain, since God was enough to [protect] the believers in battle - seeing that God is most powerful, almighty;

وَاَنْزَلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَاهَرُوْهُمْ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ صَيَاصِيْهِمْ وَقَذَفَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ فَرِيْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ وَتَأْسِرُوْنَ فَرِيْقًاۚ ٢٦

ID Translation Dan Dia menurunkan orang-orang Ahli Kitab (Bani Quraizhah) yang membantu golongan-golongan yang bersekutu dari benteng-benteng mereka, dan Dia memesukkan rasa takut ke dalam hati mereka. Sebahagian mereka kamu bunuh dan sebahagian yang lain kamu tawan.

EN Translation and He brought down from their strongholds those of the followers of earlier reve­lation who had aided the aggressors, and cast terror into their hearts: some you slew, and some you made captive;

وَاَوْرَثَكُمْ اَرْضَهُمْ وَدِيَارَهُمْ وَاَمْوَالَهُمْ وَاَرْضًا لَّمْ تَطَـُٔوْهَا ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرًا ٢٧

ID Translation Dan Dia mewariskan kepada kamu tanah-tanah, rumah-rumah dan harta benda mereka, dan (begitu pula) tanah yang belum kamu injak. Dan adalah Allah Maha Kuasa terhadap segala sesuatu.

EN Translation and He made you heirs to their lands, and their houses, and their goods - and [promised you] lands on which you had never yet set foot: for God has indeed the power to will anything.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ اِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِيْنَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ اُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَاُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيْلًا ٢٨

ID Translation Hai Nabi, katakanlah kepada isteri-isterimu: "Jika kamu sekalian mengingini kehidupan dunia dan perhiasannya, maka marilah supaya kuberikan kepadamu mut'ah dan aku ceraikan kamu dengan cara yang baik.

EN Translation O PROPHET! Say unto thy wives: “If you desire [but] the life of this world and its charms - well, then, I shall provide for you and release you in a becoming manner;

وَاِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَالدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنٰتِ مِنْكُنَّ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا ٢٩

ID Translation Dan jika kamu sekalian menghendaki (keridhaan) Allah dan Rasulnya-Nya serta (kesenangan) di negeri akhirat, maka sesungguhnya Allah menyediakan bagi siapa yang berbuat baik diantaramu pahala yang besar.

EN Translation but if you desire God and His Apostle, and [thus the good of] the life in the hereafter, then [know that], verily, for the doers of good among you God has readied a mighty reward!”

يٰنِسَاۤءَ النَّبِيِّ مَنْ يَّأْتِ مِنْكُنَّ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ يُّضٰعَفْ لَهَا الْعَذَابُ ضِعْفَيْنِۗ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرًا ۔ ٣٠

ID Translation Hai isteri-isteri Nabi, siapa-siapa di antaramu yang mengerjakan perbuatan keji yang nyata, niscaya akan di lipat gandakan siksaan kepada mereka dua kali lipat. Dan adalah yang demikian itu mudah bagi Allah.

EN Translation O wives of the Prophet! If any of you were to become guilty of manifestly immoral conduct, double [that of other sinners] would be her suffering [in the hereafter]: for that is indeed easy for God.
