Juz 18

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۙ ١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang-orang yang beriman,

EN Translation TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers:

الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ فِيْ صَلٰو تِهِمْ خَاشِعُوْنَ ٢

ID Translation (yaitu) orang-orang yang khusyu' dalam sembahyangnya,

EN Translation those who humble themselves in their prayer,

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُوْنَ ۙ ٣

ID Translation dan orang-orang yang menjauhkan diri dari (perbuatan dan perkataan) yang tiada berguna,

EN Translation and who turn away from all that is frivolous,

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فَاعِلُوْنَ ۙ ٤

ID Translation dan orang-orang yang menunaikan zakat,

EN Translation and who are intent on inner purity;

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِفُرُوْجِهِمْ حٰفِظُوْنَ ۙ ٥

ID Translation dan orang-orang yang menjaga kemaluannya,

EN Translation and who are mindful of their chastity,

اِلَّا عَلٰٓى اَزْوَاجِهِمْ اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُوْمِيْنَۚ ٦

ID Translation kecuali terhadap isteri-isteri mereka atau budak yang mereka miliki; maka sesungguhnya mereka dalam hal ini tiada tercela.

EN Translation [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame,

فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَاۤءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْعٰدُوْنَ ۚ ٧

ID Translation Barangsiapa mencari yang di balik itu maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang melampaui batas.

EN Translation whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors;

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُوْنَ ۙ ٨

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang memelihara amanat-amanat (yang dipikulnya) dan janjinya.

EN Translation and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges,

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَلٰى صَلَوٰتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُوْنَ ۘ ٩

ID Translation dan orang-orang yang memelihara sembahyangnya.

EN Translation and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent].

اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُوْنَ ۙ ١٠

ID Translation Mereka itulah orang-orang yang akan mewarisi,

EN Translation It is they, they who shall be the inheritors

الَّذِيْنَ يَرِثُوْنَ الْفِرْدَوْسَۗ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ١١

ID Translation (yakni) yang akan mewarisi surga Firdaus. Mereka kekal di dalamnya.

EN Translation that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ سُلٰلَةٍ مِّنْ طِيْنٍ ۚ ١٢

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakan manusia dari suatu saripati (berasal) dari tanah.

EN Translation NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay,

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنٰهُ نُطْفَةً فِيْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِيْنٍ ۖ ١٣

ID Translation Kemudian Kami jadikan saripati itu air mani (yang disimpan) dalam tempat yang kokoh (rahim).

EN Translation and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping,

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظٰمًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظٰمَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنٰهُ خَلْقًا اٰخَرَۗ فَتَبَارَكَ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِيْنَۗ ١٤

ID Translation Kemudian air mani itu Kami jadikan segumpal darah, lalu segumpal darah itu Kami jadikan segumpal daging, dan segumpal daging itu Kami jadikan tulang belulang, lalu tulang belulang itu Kami bungkus dengan daging. Kemudian Kami jadikan dia makhluk yang (berbentuk) lain. Maka Maha sucilah Allah, Pencipta Yang Paling Baik.

EN Translation and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans!

ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُوْنَ ۗ ١٥

ID Translation Kemudian, sesudah itu, sesungguhnya kamu sekalian benar-benar akan mati.

EN Translation And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die;

ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُوْنَ ١٦

ID Translation Kemudian, sesungguhnya kamu sekalian akan dibangkitkan (dari kuburmu) di hari kiamat.

EN Translation and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَاۤىِٕقَۖ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غٰفِلِيْنَ ١٧

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakan di atas kamu tujuh buah jalan (tujuh buah langit); dan Kami tidaklah lengah terhadap ciptaan (Kami).

EN Translation And, indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation.

وَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَاَسْكَنّٰهُ فِى الْاَرْضِۖ وَاِنَّا عَلٰى ذَهَابٍۢ بِهٖ لَقٰدِرُوْنَ ۚ ١٨

ID Translation Dan Kami turunkan air dari langit menurut suatu ukuran; lalu Kami jadikan air itu menetap di bumi, dan sesungguhnya Kami benar-benar berkuasa menghilangkannya.

EN Translation And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us], and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]!

فَاَنْشَأْنَا لَكُمْ بِهٖ جَنّٰتٍ مِّنْ نَّخِيْلٍ وَّاَعْنَابٍۘ لَكُمْ فِيْهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيْرَةٌ وَّمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُوْنَ ۙ ١٩

ID Translation Lalu dengan air itu, Kami tumbuhkan untuk kamu kebun-kebun kurma dan anggur; di dalam kebun-kebun itu kamu peroleh buah-buahan yang banyak dan sebahagian dari buah-buahan itu kamu makan,

EN Translation And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat,

وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ طُوْرِ سَيْنَاۤءَ تَنْۢبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْاٰكِلِيْنَ ٢٠

ID Translation dan pohon kayu keluar dari Thursina (pohon zaitun), yang menghasilkan minyak, dan pemakan makanan bagi orang-orang yang makan.

EN Translation as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat.

وَاِنَّ لَكُمْ فِى الْاَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةًۗ نُسْقِيْكُمْ مِّمَّا فِيْ بُطُوْنِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيْرَةٌ وَّمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُوْنَ ۙ ٢١

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya pada binatang-binatang ternak, benar-benar terdapat pelajaran yang penting bagi kamu, Kami memberi minum kamu dari air susu yang ada dalam perutnya, dan (juga) pada binatang-binatang ternak itu terdapat faedah yang banyak untuk kamu, dan sebagian daripadanya kamu makan,

EN Translation And, behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh,

وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُوْنَ ٢٢

ID Translation dan di atas punggung binatang-binatang ternak itu dan (juga) di atas perahu-perahu kamu diangkut.

EN Translation and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland].

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗۗ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ٢٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutus Nuh kepada kaumnya, lalu ia berkata: "Hai kaumku, sembahlah oleh kamu Allah, (karena) sekali-kali tidak ada Tuhan bagimu selain Dia. Maka mengapa kamu tidak bertakwa (kepada-Nya)?"

EN Translation AND, INDEED, We sent forth Noah unto his people and he said: “O my people! Worship God alone]: you have no deity other than Him. Will you not, then, become conscious of Him?”

فَقَالَ الْمَلَؤُا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْۙ يُرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْۗ وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَنْزَلَ مَلٰۤىِٕكَةً ۖمَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهٰذَا فِيْٓ اٰبَاۤىِٕنَا الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ۚ ٢٤

ID Translation Maka pemuka-pemuka orang yang kafir di antara kaumnya menjawab: "Orang ini tidak lain hanyalah manusia seperti kamu, yang bermaksud hendak menjadi seorang yang lebih tinggi dari kamu. Dan kalau Allah menghendaki, tentu Dia mengutus beberapa orang malaikat. Belum pernah kami mendengar (seruan yang seperti) ini pada masa nenek moyang kami yang dahulu.

EN Translation But the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth, replied: “This [man] is nothing but a mortal like yourselves who wants to make himself superior to you! For, if God had willed [to convey a message unto us], He would surely have sent down angels; [moreover,] we have never heard [any­thing like] this from our forebears of old!

اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوْا بِهٖ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ ٢٥

ID Translation la tidak lain hanyalah seorang laki-laki yang berpenyakit gila, maka tunggulah (sabarlah) terhadapnya sampai suatu waktu".

EN Translation He is nothing but a madman: so bear with him for a while.”

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِيْ بِمَا كَذَّبُوْنِ ٢٦

ID Translation Nuh berdoa: "Ya Tuhanku, tolonglah aku, karena mereka mendustakan aku".

EN Translation Said [Noah]: “O my Sustainer! Succour me against their accusation of lying!”

فَاَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْهِ اَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِاَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّوْرُۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْۚ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِيْ فِى الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْاۚ اِنَّهُمْ مُّغْرَقُوْنَ ٢٧

ID Translation Lalu Kami wahyukan kepadanya: "Buatlah bahtera di bawah penilikan dan petunjuk Kami, maka apabila perintah Kami telah datang dan tanur telah memancarkan air, maka masukkanlah ke dalam bahtera itu sepasang dari tiap-tiap (jenis), dan (juga) keluargamu, kecuali orang yang telah lebih dahulu ditetapkan (akan ditimpa azab) di antara mereka. Dan janganlah kamu bicarakan dengan Aku tentang orang-orang yang zalim, karena sesungguhnya mereka itu akan ditenggelamkan.

EN Translation Thereupon We inspired him thus: “Build, un­der Our eyes and according to Our inspiration, the ark [that shall save thee and those who follow thee]. And when Our judgment comes to pass, and waters gush forth in torrents over the face of the earth, place on board of this [ark] one pair of each [kind of animal] of either sex, as well as thy family - excepting those on whom sentence has already been passed; and do not appeal to Me [any more] in behalf of those who are bent on evildoing - for, behold, they are destined to be drowned!

فَاِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ اَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَّعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ نَجّٰىنَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٢٨

ID Translation Apabila kamu dan orang-orang yang bersamamu telah berada di atas bahtera itu, maka ucapkanlah: "Segala puji bagi Allah yang telah menyelamatkan kami dari orang-orang yang zalim".

EN Translation “And as soon as thou and those who are with thee are settled in the ark, say: ‘All praise is due to God, who has saved us from those evildoing folk!’

وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اَنْزِلْنِيْ مُنْزَلًا مُّبٰرَكًا وَّاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِيْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Dan berdoalah: Ya Tuhanku, tempatkanlah aku pada tempat yang diberkati, dan Engkau adalah sebaik-baik Yang memberi tempat".

EN Translation “And say: ‘O my Sustainer! Cause me to reach a destination blessed [by Thee] for Thou art the best to show man how to reach his [true] destination!’”

اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ وَّاِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِيْنَ ٣٠

ID Translation Sesungguhnya pada (kejadian) itu benar-benar terdapat beberapa tanda (kebesaran Allah), dan sesungguhnya Kami menimpakan azab (kepada kaum Nuh itu).

EN Translation In this [story], behold, there are messages indeed [for those who think]: for, verily, We always put [man] to a test.

ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ ۚ ٣١

ID Translation Kemudian, Kami jadikan sesudah mereka umat yang lain.

EN Translation AND AFTER those [people of old] We gave rise to new generations;

فَاَرْسَلْنَا فِيْهِمْ رَسُوْلًا مِّنْهُمْ اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗۗ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ٣٢

ID Translation Lalu Kami utus kepada mereka, seorang rasul dari kalangan mereka sendiri (yang berkata): "Sembahlah Allah oleh kamu sekalian, sekali-kali tidak ada Tuhan selain daripada-Nya. Maka mengapa kamu tidak bertakwa (kepada-Nya).

EN Translation and [every time] We sent unto them an apostle from among themselves, [he told them:] “Worship God [alone]: you have no deity other than Him. Will you not, then, become conscious of Him?”

وَقَالَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِلِقَاۤءِ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَتْرَفْنٰهُمْ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۙ مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْۙ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُوْنَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُوْنَ ٣٣

ID Translation Dan berkatalah pemuka-pemuka yang kafir di antara kaumnya dan yang mendustakan akan menemui hari akhirat (kelak) dan yang telah Kami mewahkan mereka dalam kehidupan di dunia: "(Orang) ini tidak lain hanyalah manusia seperti kamu, dia makan dari apa yang kamu makan, dan meminum dari apa yang kamu minum.

EN Translation And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come - [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [every time] they would say: “This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink:

وَلَىِٕنْ اَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِّثْلَكُمْ اِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَّخٰسِرُوْنَ ۙ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya jika kamu sekalian mentaati manusia yang seperti kamu, niscaya bila demikian, kamu benar-benar (menjadi) orang-orang yang merugi.

EN Translation and, indeed, if you pay heed to a mortal like your­selves, you will surely be the losers!

اَيَعِدُكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا اَنَّكُمْ مُّخْرَجُوْنَ ۖ ٣٥

ID Translation Apakah ia menjanjikan kepada kamu sekalian, bahwa bila kamu telah mati dan telah menjadi tanah dan tulang belulang, kamu sesungguhnya akan dikeluarkan (dari kuburmu)?

EN Translation Does he promise you that, after you have died and become [mere] dust and bones, you shall be brought forth [to a new life]?

۞ هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ ۖ ٣٦

ID Translation jauh, jauh sekali (dari kebenaran) apa yang diancamkan kepada kamu itu,

EN Translation Far-fetched, far-fetched indeed is what you are promised!

اِنْ هِيَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوْتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوْثِيْنَ ۖ ٣٧

ID Translation kehidupan itu tidak lain hanyalah kehidupan kita di dunia ini, kita mati dan kita hidup dan sekali-kali tidak akan dibangkitkan lagi,

EN Translation There is no life beyond our life in this world: we die and we live [but once], and we shall never be raised from the dead!

اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلُ ِۨافْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا وَّمَا نَحْنُ لَهٗ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٣٨

ID Translation Ia tidak lain hanyalah seorang yang mengada-adakan kebohongan terhadap Allah, dan kami sekali-kali tidak akan beriman kepadanya".

EN Translation He is nothing but a man who attributes his own lying in­ventions to God, and we are not going to believe him!”

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِيْ بِمَا كَذَّبُوْنِ ٣٩

ID Translation Rasul itu berdoa: "Ya Tuhanku, tolonglah aku karena mereka mendustakanku".

EN Translation [Whereupon the prophet] would say: “O my Sustainer! Succour me against their accusation of lying!”

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيْلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نٰدِمِيْنَ ۚ ٤٠

ID Translation Allah berfirman: "Dalam sedikit waktu lagi pasti mereka akan menjadi orang-orang yang menyesal".

EN Translation [And God] would say: “After a little while they will surely be smitten with remorse!”

فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ غُثَاۤءًۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤١

ID Translation Maka dimusnahkanlah mereka oleh suara yang mengguntur dengan hak dan Kami jadikan mereka (sebagai) sampah banjir maka kebinasaanlah bagi orang-orang yang zalim itu.

EN Translation And then the blast [of Our punishment] over­took them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk!

ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُوْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ ۗ ٤٢

ID Translation Kemudian Kami ciptakan sesudah mereka umat-umat yang lain.

EN Translation AND AFTER them We gave rise to new genera­tions:

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُوْنَ ۗ ٤٣

ID Translation Tidak (dapat) sesuatu umatpun mendahului ajalnya, dan tidak (dapat pula) mereka terlambat (dari ajalnya itu).

EN Translation [for,] no community can ever forestall [the end of] its term - and neither can they delay [its coming].

ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَاۗ كُلَّمَا جَاۤءَ اُمَّةً رَّسُوْلُهَا كَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَّجَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَحَادِيْثَۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٤٤

ID Translation Kemudian Kami utus (kepada umat-umat itu) rasul-rasul Kami berturut-turut. Tiap-tiap seorang rasul datang kepada umatnya, umat itu mendustakannya, maka Kami perikutkan sebagian mereka dengan sebagian yang lain. Dan Kami jadikan mereka buah tutur (manusia), maka kebinasaanlah bagi orang-orang yang tidak beriman.

EN Translation And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave], and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who would not believe!

ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوْسٰى وَاَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ ەۙ بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٤٥

ID Translation Kemudian Kami utus Musa dan saudaranya Harun dengan membawa tanda-tanda (Kebesaran) Kami, dan bukti yang nyata,

EN Translation AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us]

اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًا عَالِيْنَ ۚ ٤٦

ID Translation kepada Fir'aun dan pembesar-pembesar kaumnya, maka mereka ini takbur dan mereka adalah orang-orang yang sombong.

EN Translation unto Pharaoh and his great ones; but these behaved with arrogance, for they were people wont to glorify [only] themselves.

فَقَالُوْٓا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَ ۚ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Apakah (patut) kita percaya kepada dua orang manusia seperti kita (juga), padahal kaum mereka (Bani Israil) adalah orang-orang yang menghambakan diri kepada kita?"

EN Translation And so they said: “Shall we believe [them] two mortals like ourselves - although their people are our slaves?”

فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَكَانُوْا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِيْنَ ٤٨

ID Translation Maka (tetaplah) mereka mendustakan keduanya, sebab itu mereka adalah termasuk orang-orang yang dibinasakan.

EN Translation Thus, they gave the lie to those two, and earned (thereby) their place among the doomed:

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ ٤٩

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami berikan Al Kitab (Taurat) kepada Musa, agar mereka (Bani Israil) mendapat petunjuk.

EN Translation for, indeed, We had vouchsafed revelation unto Moses in order that they might find the right way.

وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗٓ اٰيَةً وَّاٰوَيْنٰهُمَآ اِلٰى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَّمَعِيْنٍ ٥٠

ID Translation Dan telah Kami jadikan (Isa) putera Maryam beserta ibunya suatu bukti yang nyata bagi (kekuasaan Kami), dan Kami melindungi mereka di suatu tanah tinggi yang datar yang banyak terdapat padang-padang rumput dan sumber-sumber air bersih yang mengalir.

EN Translation And [as We exalted Moses, so, too,] We made the son of Mary and his mother a symbol [of Our grace], and provided for both an abode in a lofty place of lasting restfulness and unsullied springs.

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوْا مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَاعْمَلُوْا صَالِحًاۗ اِنِّيْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ عَلِيْمٌ ۗ ٥١

ID Translation Hai rasul-rasul, makanlah dari makanan yang baik-baik, dan kerjakanlah amal yang saleh. Sesungguhnya Aku Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do.

وَاِنَّ هٰذِهٖٓ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّاَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُوْنِ ٥٢

ID Translation Sesungguhnya (agama tauhid) ini, adalah agama kamu semua, agama yang satu, dan Aku adalah Tuhanmu, maka bertakwalah kepada-Ku.

EN Translation And, verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me!

فَتَقَطَّعُوْٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًاۗ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۢ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُوْنَ ٥٣

ID Translation Kemudian mereka (pengikut-pengikut rasul itu) menjadikan agama mereka terpecah belah menjadi beberapa pecahan. Tiap-tiap golongan merasa bangga dengan apa yang ada pada sisi mereka (masing-masing).

EN Translation But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets].

فَذَرْهُمْ فِيْ غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ ٥٤

ID Translation Maka biarkanlah mereka dalam kesesatannya sampai suatu waktu.

EN Translation But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time.

اَيَحْسَبُوْنَ اَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ مَّالٍ وَّبَنِيْنَ ۙ ٥٥

ID Translation Apakah mereka mengira bahwa harta dan anak-anak yang Kami berikan kepada mereka itu (berarti bahwa),

EN Translation Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِى الْخَيْرٰتِۗ بَلْ لَّا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ٥٦

ID Translation Kami bersegera memberikan kebaikan-kebaikan kepada mereka? Tidak, sebenarnya mereka tidak sadar.

EN Translation We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]!

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُّشْفِقُوْنَ ۙ ٥٧

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang berhati-hati karena takut akan (azab) Tuhan mereka,

EN Translation Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer,

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۙ ٥٨

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang beriman dengan ayat-ayat Tuhan mereka,

EN Translation and who believe in their Sus­tainer’s messages,

وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ۙ ٥٩

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang tidak mempersekutukan dengan Tuhan mereka (sesuatu apapun),

EN Translation and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer,

وَالَّذِيْنَ يُؤْتُوْنَ مَآ اٰتَوْا وَّقُلُوْبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمْ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ رٰجِعُوْنَ ۙ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang memberikan apa yang telah mereka berikan, dengan hati yang takut, (karena mereka tahu bahwa) sesungguhnya mereka akan kembali kepada Tuhan mereka,

EN Translation and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return:

اُولٰۤىِٕكَ يُسَارِعُوْنَ فِى الْخَيْرٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سٰبِقُوْنَ ٦١

ID Translation mereka itu bersegera untuk mendapat kebaikan-kebaikan, dan merekalah orang-orang yang segera memperolehnya.

EN Translation it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them!

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَاۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتٰبٌ يَّنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ ٦٢

ID Translation Kami tiada membebani seseorang melainkan menurut kesanggupannya, dan pada sisi Kami ada suatu kitab yang membicarakan kebenaran, dan mereka tidak dianiaya.

EN Translation And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged.

بَلْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ فِيْ غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هٰذَا وَلَهُمْ اَعْمَالٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِ ذٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُوْنَ ٦٣

ID Translation Tetapi hati orang-orang kafir itu dalam kesesatan dari (memahami kenyataan) ini, dan mereka banyak mengerjakan perbuatan-perbuatan (buruk) selain daripada itu, mereka tetap mengerjakannya.

EN Translation NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them

حَتّٰٓى اِذَآ اَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيْهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ اِذَا هُمْ يَجْـَٔرُوْنَ ۗ ٦٤

ID Translation Hingga apabila Kami timpakan azab, kepada orang-orang yang hidup mewah di antara mereka, dengan serta merta mereka memekik minta tolong.

EN Translation until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication.

لَا تَجْـَٔرُوا الْيَوْمَۖ اِنَّكُمْ مِّنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُوْنَ ٦٥

ID Translation Janganlah kamu memekik minta tolong pada hari ini. Sesungguhnya kamu tiada akan mendapat pertolongan dari Kami.

EN Translation [But they will be told:] “Cry not in supplication today: for, behold, you shall not he succoured by Us!

قَدْ كَانَتْ اٰيٰتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰٓى اَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُوْنَ ۙ ٦٦

ID Translation Sesungguhnya ayat-ayat-Ku (Al Quran) selalu dibacakan kepada kamu sekalian, maka kamu selalu berpaling ke belakang,

EN Translation Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels

مُسْتَكْبِرِيْنَۙ بِهٖ سٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُوْنَ ٦٧

ID Translation dengan menyombongkan diri terhadap Al Quran itu dan mengucapkan perkataan-perkataan keji terhadapnya di waktu kamu bercakap-cakap di malam hari.

EN Translation [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night.”

اَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ اَمْ جَاۤءَهُمْ مَّا لَمْ يَأْتِ اٰبَاۤءَهُمُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ۖ ٦٨

ID Translation Maka apakah mereka tidak memperhatikan perkataan (Kami), atau apakah telah datang kepada mereka apa yang tidak pernah datang kepada nenek moyang mereka dahulu?

EN Translation Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old?

اَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوْا رَسُوْلَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهٗ مُنْكِرُوْنَ ۖ ٦٩

ID Translation Ataukah mereka tidak mengenal rasul mereka, karena itu mereka memungkirinya?

EN Translation Or is it, perchance, that they have not recog­nized their Apostle, and so they disavow him?

اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ۗ بَلْ جَاۤءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كٰرِهُوْنَ ٧٠

ID Translation Atau (apakah patut) mereka berkata: "Padanya (Muhammad) ada penyakit gila". Sebenarnya dia telah membawa kebenaran kepada mereka, dan kebanyakan mereka benci kepada kebenaran itu.

EN Translation Or do they say. “There is madness in him”? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest!

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّۗ بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۗ ٧١

ID Translation Andaikata kebenaran itu menuruti hawa nafsu mereka, pasti binasalah langit dan bumi ini, dan semua yang ada di dalamnya. Sebenarnya Kami telah mendatangkan kepada mereka kebanggaan (Al Quran) mereka tetapi mereka berpaling dari kebanggaan itu.

EN Translation But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away!

اَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖوَّهُوَ خَيْرُ الرّٰزِقِيْنَ ٧٢

ID Translation Atau kamu meminta upah kepada mereka?", maka upah dari Tuhanmu adalah lebih baik, dan Dia adalah Pemberi rezeki Yang Paling Baik.

EN Translation Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers!

وَاِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ ٧٣

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya kamu benar-benar menyeru mereka kepada jalan yang lurus.

EN Translation And, verily, thou callest them onto a straight way –

وَاِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُوْنَ ٧٤

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya orang-orang yang tidak beriman kepada negeri akhirat benar-benar menyimpang dari jalan (yang lurus).

EN Translation but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way.

۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِّنْ ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوْا فِيْ طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُوْنَ ٧٥

ID Translation Andaikata mereka Kami belas kasihani, dan Kami lenyapkan kemudharatan yang mereka alami, benar-benar mereka akan terus menerus terombang-ambing dalam keterlaluan mereka.

EN Translation And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life], they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro.

وَلَقَدْ اَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوْا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ ٧٦

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah pernah menimpakan azab kepada mereka, maka mereka tidak tunduk kepada Tuhan mereka, dan (juga) tidak memohon (kepada-Nya) dengan merendahkan diri.

EN Translation And, indeed, We tested them through suffer­ing, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble them­selves

حَتّٰٓى اِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيْدٍ اِذَا هُمْ فِيْهِ مُبْلِسُوْنَ ٧٧

ID Translation Hingga apabila Kami bukakan untuk mereka suatu pintu tempat azab yang amat sangat (di waktu itulah) tiba-tiba mereka menjadi putus asa.

EN Translation until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit.

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْشَاَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَالْاَفْـِٕدَةَۗ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٧٨

ID Translation Dan Dialah yang telah menciptakan bagi kamu sekalian, pendengaran, penglihatan dan hati. Amat sedikitlah kamu bersyukur.

EN Translation [O MEN! Pay heed to God’s messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ ذَرَاَكُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَاِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ ٧٩

ID Translation Dan Dialah yang menciptakan serta mengembang biakkan kamu di bumi ini dan kepada-Nya-lah kamu akan dihimpunkan.

EN Translation And He it is who has caused you to multiply on earth; and unto Him you shall be gathered.

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ يُحْيٖ وَيُمِيْتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٨٠

ID Translation Dan Dialah yang menghidupkan dan mematikan, dan Dialah yang (mengatur) pertukaran malam dan siang. Maka apakah kamu tidak memahaminya?

EN Translation And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason?

بَلْ قَالُوْا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ ٨١

ID Translation Sebenarnya mereka mengucapkan perkataan yang serupa dengan perkataan yang diucapkan oleh orang-orang dahulu kala.

EN Translation But nay, they speak as the people of olden times did speak:

قَالُوْٓا ءَاِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَبْعُوْثُوْنَ ٨٢

ID Translation Mereka berkata: "Apakah betul, apabila kami telah mati dan kami telah menjadi tanah dan tulang belulang, apakah sesungguhnya kami benar-benar akan dibangkitkan?

EN Translation they say: “What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead?

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَاٰبَاۤؤُنَا هٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ٨٣

ID Translation Sesungguhnya kami dan bapak-bapak kami telah diberi ancaman (dengan) ini dahulu, ini tidak lain hanyalah dongengan orang-orang dahulu kala!".

EN Translation Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!”

قُلْ لِّمَنِ الْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٨٤

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Kepunyaan siapakah bumi ini, dan semua yang ada padanya, jika kamu mengetahui?"

EN Translation Say: “Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!”

سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٨٥

ID Translation Mereka akan menjawab: "Kepunyaan Allah". Katakanlah: "Maka apakah kamu tidak ingat?"

EN Translation [And they will reply: “Unto God.” Say: “Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?”

قُلْ مَنْ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ٨٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Siapakah Yang Empunya langit yang tujuh dan Yang Empunya 'Arsy yang besar?"

EN Translation Say: “Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?”

سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ٨٧

ID Translation Mereka akan menjawab: "Kepunyaan Allah". Katakanlah: "Maka apakah kamu tidak bertakwa?"

EN Translation [And] they will reply: “[All this power belongs] to God.” Say: “Will you not, then, remain conscious of Him?”

قُلْ مَنْۢ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوْتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُوَ يُجِيْرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٨٨

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Siapakah yang di tangan-Nya berada kekuasaan atas segala sesuatu sedang Dia melindungi, tetapi tidak ada yang dapat dilindungi dari (azab)-Nya, jika kamu mengetahui?"

EN Translation Say: “In whose hand rests the mighty dominion over all things, and who is it that protects, the while there is no protection against Him? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!”

سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ فَاَنّٰى تُسْحَرُوْنَ ٨٩

ID Translation Mereka akan menjawab: "Kepunyaan Allah". Katakanlah: "(Kalau demikian), maka dari jalan manakah kamu ditipu?"

EN Translation [And] they will reply: “[All this power belongs] to God.” Say: ‘How, then, can you be so deluded?”

بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ٩٠

ID Translation Sebenarnya Kami telah membawa kebenaran kepada mereka, dan sesungguhnya mereka benar-benar orang-orang yang berdusta.

EN Translation Nay, We have conveyed unto them the truth: and yet, behold, they are intent on lying [to them­selves]!

مَا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ وَّلَدٍ وَّمَا كَانَ مَعَهٗ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ اِلٰهٍۢ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍۗ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ ۙ ٩١

ID Translation Allah sekali-kali tidak mempunyai anak, dan sekali-kali tidak ada tuhan (yang lain) beserta-Nya, kalau ada tuhan beserta-Nya, masing-masing tuhan itu akan membawa makhluk yang diciptakannya, dan sebagian dari tuhan-tuhan itu akan mengalahkan sebagian yang lain. Maha Suci Allah dari apa yang mereka sifatkan itu,

EN Translation Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition,

عٰلِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ٩٢

ID Translation Yang mengetahui semua yang ghaib dan semua yang nampak, maka Maha Tinggilah Dia dari apa yang mereka persekutukan.

EN Translation knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being’s perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature’s senses or mind and, hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity!

قُلْ رَّبِّ اِمَّا تُرِيَنِّيْ مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ ۙ ٩٣

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Ya Tuhanku, jika Engkau sungguh-sungguh hendak memperlihatkan kepadaku azab yang diancamkan kepada mereka,

EN Translation SAY: “O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] –

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِيْ فِى الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٩٤

ID Translation ya Tuhanku, maka janganlah Engkau jadikan aku berada di antara orang-orang yang zalim".

EN Translation do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!”

وَاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقٰدِرُوْنَ ٩٥

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami benar-benar kuasa untuk memperlihatkan kepadamu apa yang Kami ancamkan kepada mereka.

EN Translation [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most cer­tainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them!

اِدْفَعْ بِالَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَۗ نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُوْنَ ٩٦

ID Translation Tolaklah perbuatan buruk mereka dengan yang lebih baik. Kami lebih mengetahui apa yang mereka sifatkan.

EN Translation [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is bet­ter: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us].

وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ ۙ ٩٧

ID Translation Dan katakanlah: "Ya Tuhanku aku berlindung kepada Engkau dari bisikan-bisikan syaitan.

EN Translation And say: “O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses;

وَاَعُوْذُ بِكَ رَبِّ اَنْ يَّحْضُرُوْنِ ٩٨

ID Translation Dan aku berlindung (pula) kepada Engkau ya Tuhanku, dari kedatangan mereka kepadaku".

EN Translation and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!’

حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءَ اَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُوْنِ ۙ ٩٩

ID Translation (Demikianlah keadaan orang-orang kafir itu), hingga apabila datang kematian kepada seseorang dari mereka, dia berkata: "Ya Tuhanku kembalikanlah aku (ke dunia),

EN Translation [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: “O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life],

لَعَلِّيْٓ اَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيْمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلَّاۗ اِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَاۤىِٕلُهَاۗ وَمِنْ وَّرَاۤىِٕهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُوْنَ ١٠٠

ID Translation agar aku berbuat amal yang saleh terhadap yang telah aku tinggalkan. Sekali-kali tidak. Sesungguhnya itu adalah perkataan yang diucapkannya saja. Dan di hadapan mereka ada dinding sampal hari mereka dibangkitkan.

EN Translation so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!” Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead!

فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَلَآ اَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ وَّلَا يَتَسَاۤءَلُوْنَ ١٠١

ID Translation Apabila sangkakala ditiup maka tidaklah ada lagi pertalian nasab di antara mereka pada hari itu, dan tidak ada pula mereka saling bertanya.

EN Translation Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another.

فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ١٠٢

ID Translation Barangsiapa yang berat timbangan (kebaikan)nya, maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang dapat keberuntungan.

EN Translation And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state;

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدُوْنَ ۚ ١٠٣

ID Translation Dan barangsiapa yang ringan timbangannya, maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang merugikan dirinya sendiri, mereka kekal di dalam neraka Jahannam.

EN Translation whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell:

تَلْفَحُ وُجُوْهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيْهَا كَالِحُوْنَ ١٠٤

ID Translation Muka mereka dibakar api neraka, dan mereka di dalam neraka itu dalam keadaan cacat.

EN Translation the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain.

اَلَمْ تَكُنْ اٰيٰتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ ١٠٥

ID Translation Bukankah ayat-ayat-Ku telah dibacakan kepadamu sekalian, tetapi kamu selalu mendustakannya?

EN Translation [And God will say:] “Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?”

قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَاۤلِّيْنَ ١٠٦

ID Translation Mereka berkata: "Ya Tuhan kami, kami telah dikuasai oleh kejahatan kami, dan adalah kami orang-orang yang sesat.

EN Translation They will exclaim: “O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray!

رَبَّنَآ اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَاِنْ عُدْنَا فَاِنَّا ظٰلِمُوْنَ ١٠٧

ID Translation Ya Tuhan kami, keluarkanlah kami daripadanya (dan kembalikanlah kami ke dunia), maka jika kami kembali (juga kepada kekafiran), sesungguhnya kami adalah orang-orang yang zalim".

EN Translation O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning], may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!”

قَالَ اخْسَـُٔوْا فِيْهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُوْنِ ١٠٨

ID Translation Allah berfirman: "Tinggallah dengan hina di dalamnya, dan janganlah kamu berbicara dengan Aku.

EN Translation [But] He will say: “Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me!

اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَآ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ ۚ ١٠٩

ID Translation Sesungguhnya, ada segolongan dari hamba-hamba-Ku berdoa (di dunia): "Ya Tuhan kami, kami telah beriman, maka ampunilah kami dan berilah kami rahmat dan Engkau adalah Pemberi rahmat Yang Paling Baik.

EN Translation “Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, ‘O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!’

فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوْهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتّٰٓى اَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِيْ وَكُنْتُمْ مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُوْنَ ١١٠

ID Translation Lalu kamu menjadikan mereka buah ejekan, sehingga (kesibukan) kamu mengejek mereka, menjadikan kamu lupa mengingat Aku, dan adalah kamu selalu mentertawakan mereka,

EN Translation - but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laugh­ing at them.

اِنِّيْ جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْٓاۙ اَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَاۤىِٕزُوْنَ ١١١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Aku memberi balasan kepada mereka di hari ini, karena kesabaran mereka; sesungguhnya mereka itulah orang-orang yang menang".

EN Translation [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!”

قٰلَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِيْنَ ١١٢

ID Translation Allah bertanya: "Berapa tahunkah lamanya kamu tinggal di bumi?"

EN Translation [And] He will ask [the doomed]: “What number of years have you spent on earth?”

قَالُوْا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا اَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَسْـَٔلِ الْعَاۤدِّيْنَ ١١٣

ID Translation Mereka menjawab: "Kami tinggal (di bumi) sehari atau setengah hari, maka tanyakanlah kepada orang-orang yang menghitung".

EN Translation They will answer: ‘We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time] …”

قٰلَ اِنْ لَّبِثْتُمْ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا لَّوْ اَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ١١٤

ID Translation Allah berfirman: "Kamu tidak tinggal (di bumi) melainkan sebentar saja, kalau kamu sesungguhnya mengetahui"

EN Translation [Whereupon] He will say: “You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]!

اَفَحَسِبْتُمْ اَنَّمَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ عَبَثًا وَّاَنَّكُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ ١١٥

ID Translation Maka apakah kamu mengira, bahwa sesungguhnya Kami menciptakan kamu secara main-main (saja), dan bahwa kamu tidak akan dikembalikan kepada Kami?

EN Translation Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?”

فَتَعٰلَى اللّٰهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّۚ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيْمِ ١١٦

ID Translation Maka Maha Tinggi Allah, Raja Yang Sebenarnya; tidak ada Tuhan selain Dia, Tuhan (Yang mempunyai) 'Arsy yang mulia.

EN Translation [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned!

وَمَنْ يَّدْعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهٗ بِهٖۙ فَاِنَّمَا حِسَابُهٗ عِنْدَ رَبِّهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ١١٧

ID Translation Dan barangsiapa menyembah tuhan yang lain di samping Allah, padahal tidak ada suatu dalilpun baginya tentang itu, maka sesungguhnya perhitungannya di sisi Tuhannya. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang kafir itu tiada beruntung.

EN Translation Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity [- a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state!

وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ ١١٨

ID Translation Dan katakanlah: "Ya Tuhanku berilah ampun dan berilah rahmat, dan Engkau adalah Pemberi rahmat Yang Paling baik".

EN Translation Hence, [O believer,] say: “O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!”

سُوْرَةٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهَا وَفَرَضْنٰهَا وَاَنْزَلْنَا فِيْهَآ اٰيٰتٍۢ بَيِّنٰتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ١

ID Translation (Ini adalah) satu surat yang Kami turunkan dan Kami wajibkan (menjalankan hukum-hukum yang ada di dalam)nya, dan Kami turunkan di dalamnya ayat ayat yang jelas, agar kamu selalu mengingatinya.

EN Translation A Surah [is this] which We have bestowed from on high, and which We have laid down in plain terms; and in it have We bestowed from on high messages which are clear [in themselves], so that you might keep [them] in mind.

اَلزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِيْ فَاجْلِدُوْا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلْدَةٍ ۖوَّلَا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِيْ دِيْنِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِۚ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَاۤىِٕفَةٌ مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٢

ID Translation Perempuan yang berzina dan laki-laki yang berzina, maka deralah tiap-tiap seorang dari keduanya seratus dali dera, dan janganlah belas kasihan kepada keduanya mencegah kamu untuk (menjalankan) agama Allah, jika kamu beriman kepada Allah, dan hari akhirat, dan hendaklah (pelaksanaan) hukuman mereka disaksikan oleh sekumpulan orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation AS FOR the adulteress and the adulterer flog each of them with a hundred stripes, and let not compassion with them keep you from [carrying out] this law of God, if you [truly] believe in God and the Last Day; and let a group of the believers witness their chastisement.

اَلزَّانِيْ لَا يَنْكِحُ اِلَّا زَانِيَةً اَوْ مُشْرِكَةً ۖوَّالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنْكِحُهَآ اِلَّا زَانٍ اَوْ مُشْرِكٌۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٣

ID Translation Laki-laki yang berzina tidak mengawini melainkan perempuan yang berzina, atau perempuan yang musyrik; dan perempuan yang berzina tidak dikawini melainkan oleh laki-laki yang berzina atau laki-laki musyrik, dan yang demikian itu diharamkan atas oran-orang yang mukmin.

EN Translation [Both are equally guilty:] the adulterer couples with none other than an adulteress - that is, a woman who accords [to her own lust] a place side by side with God; and with the adulteress couples none other than an adulterer - that is, a man who accords [to his own lust] a place side by side with God: and this is forbidden unto the believers.

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ الْمُحْصَنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوْا بِاَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاۤءَ فَاجْلِدُوْهُمْ ثَمٰنِيْنَ جَلْدَةً وَّلَا تَقْبَلُوْا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً اَبَدًاۚ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ ۙ ٤

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang menuduh wanita-wanita yang baik-baik (berbuat zina) dan mereka tidak mendatangkan empat orang saksi, maka deralah mereka (yang menuduh itu) delapan puluh kali dera, dan janganlah kamu terima kesaksian mereka buat selama-lamanya. Dan mereka itulah orang-orang yang fasik.

EN Translation And as for those who accuse chaste women [of adultery], and then are unable to produce four witnesses [in support of their accusation], flog them with eighty stripes and ever after refuse to accept from them any testimony - since it is they, they that are truly depraved!

اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ تَابُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ وَاَصْلَحُوْاۚ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٥

ID Translation kecuali orang-orang yang bertaubat sesudah itu dan memperbaiki (dirinya), maka sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation excepting [from this interdict] only those who afterwards repent and made amends: for, behold, God is much forgiving, a dispenser of grace.

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ اَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُمْ شُهَدَاۤءُ اِلَّآ اَنْفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ اَحَدِهِمْ اَرْبَعُ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِ ۙاِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ ٦

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang menuduh isterinya (berzina), padahal mereka tidak ada mempunyai saksi-saksi selain diri mereka sendiri, maka persaksian orang itu ialah empat kali bersumpah dengan nama Allah, sesungguhnya dia adalah termasuk orang-orang yang benar.

EN Translation And as for those who accuse their own wives [of adultery], but have no witnesses except them­selves, let each of these [accusers] call God four times to witness that he is indeed telling the truth,

وَالْخَامِسَةُ اَنَّ لَعْنَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ اِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ٧

ID Translation Dan (sumpah) yang kelima: bahwa laknat Allah atasnya, jika dia termasuk orang-orang yang berdusta.

EN Translation and the fifth time, that God’s curse be upon him if he is telling a lie.

وَيَدْرَؤُا عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ اَنْ تَشْهَدَ اَرْبَعَ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ۙ ٨

ID Translation Istrinya itu dihindarkan dari hukuman oleh sumpahnya empat kali atas nama Allah sesungguhnya suaminya itu benar-benar termasuk orang-orang yang dusta.

EN Translation But [as for the wife, all] chastisement shall be averted from her by her calling God four times to witness that he is indeed telling a lie,

وَالْخَامِسَةَ اَنَّ غَضَبَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ ٩

ID Translation dan (sumpah) yang kelima: bahwa laknat Allah atasnya jika suaminya itu termasuk orang-orang yang benar.

EN Translation and the fifth [time], that God’s curse be upon her if he is telling the truth,

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيْمٌ ١٠

ID Translation Dan andaikata tidak ada kurnia Allah dan rahmat-Nya atas dirimu dan (andaikata) Allah bukan Penerima Taubat lagi Maha Bijaksana, (niscaya kamu akan mengalami kesulitan-kesulitan).

EN Translation AND WERE it not for God’s favour upon you, [O man,] and His grace, and that God is a wise acceptor of repentance...!

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ جَاۤءُوْ بِالْاِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنْكُمْۗ لَا تَحْسَبُوْهُ شَرًّا لَّكُمْۗ بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْۗ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ مَّا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الْاِثْمِۚ وَالَّذِيْ تَوَلّٰى كِبْرَهٗ مِنْهُمْ لَهٗ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ١١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang membawa berita bohong itu adalah dari golongan kamu juga. Janganlah kamu kira bahwa berita bohong itu buruk bagi kamu bahkan ia adalah baik bagi kamu. Tiap-tiap seseorang dari mereka mendapat balasan dari dosa yang dikerjakannya. Dan siapa di antara mereka yang mengambil bahagian yang terbesar dalam penyiaran berita bohong itu baginya azab yang besar.

EN Translation Verily, numerous among you are those who would falsely accuse others of unchastity: [but, O you who are thus wronged,] deem it not a bad thing for you: nay, it is good for you! [As for the slanderers,] unto every one of them [will be accounted] all that he has earned by [thus] sinning; and awesome suffering awaits any of them who takes it upon himself to enhance this [sin]!

لَوْلَآ اِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوْهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتُ بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًاۙ وَّقَالُوْا هٰذَآ اِفْكٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ١٢

ID Translation Mengapa di waktu kamu mendengar berita bohon itu orang-orang mukminin dan mukminat tidak bersangka baik terhadap diri mereka sendiri, dan (mengapa tidak) berkata: "Ini adalah suatu berita bohong yang nyata".

EN Translation Why do not the believing men and women, whenever such [a rumour] is heard, think the best of one another and say, “This is an obvious falsehood”?

لَوْلَا جَاۤءُوْ عَلَيْهِ بِاَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاۤءَۚ فَاِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوْا بِالشُّهَدَاۤءِ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ هُمُ الْكٰذِبُوْنَ ١٣

ID Translation Mengapa mereka (yang menuduh itu) tidak mendatangkan empat orang saksi atas berita bohong itu? Olah karena mereka tidak mendatangkan saksi-saksi maka mereka itulah pada sisi Allah orang-orang yang dusta.

EN Translation why do they not [demand of the accusers that they] their allegation? for, if they do not produce such wit­nesses, it is those [accusers] who, in the sight of God, are liars indeed!

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيْ مَآ اَفَضْتُمْ فِيْهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ١٤

ID Translation Sekiranya tidak ada kurnia Allah dan rahmat-Nya kepada kamu semua di dunia dan di akhirat, niscaya kamu ditimpa azab yang besar, karena pembicaraan kamu tentang berita bohong itu.

EN Translation And were it not for God’s favour upon you, [O men,] and His grace in this world and in the life to come, awesome suffering would indeed have afflicted you in result of all [the calumny] in which you indulge

اِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهٗ بِاَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُوْلُوْنَ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ وَّتَحْسَبُوْنَهٗ هَيِّنًاۙ وَّهُوَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيْمٌ ۚ ١٥

ID Translation (Ingatlah) di waktu kamu menerima berita bohong itu dari mulut ke mulut dan kamu katakan dengan mulutmu apa yang tidak kamu ketahui sedikit juga, dan kamu menganggapnya suatu yang ringan saja. Padahal dia pada sisi Allah adalah besar.

EN Translation when you take it up with your tongues, uttering with your mouths something of which you have no knowledge, and deeming it a light matter whereas in the sight of God it is an awful thing!

وَلَوْلَآ اِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوْهُ قُلْتُمْ مَّا يَكُوْنُ لَنَآ اَنْ نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهٰذَاۖ سُبْحٰنَكَ هٰذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيْمٌ ١٦

ID Translation Dan mengapa kamu tidak berkata, diwaktu mendengar berita bohong itu: "Sekali-kali tidaklah pantas bagi kita memperkatakan ini, Maha Suci Engkau (Ya Tuhan kami), ini adalah dusta yang besar".

EN Translation And [once again]: Why do you not say, whenever you hear such [a rumour], “It does not behove us to speak of this, O Thou who art limitless in Thy glory: this is an awesome calumny”?

يَعِظُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اَنْ تَعُوْدُوْا لِمِثْلِهٖٓ اَبَدًا اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ ۚ ١٧

ID Translation Allah memperingatkan kamu agar (jangan) kembali memperbuat yang seperti itu selama-lamanya, jika kamu orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation God admonishes you [hereby] lest you ever revert to the like of this [sin], if you are [truly] believers;

وَيُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الْاٰيٰتِۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ ١٨

ID Translation dan Allah menerangkan ayat-ayat-Nya kepada kamu. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation for God makes [His] messages clear unto you - and God is all-knowing, Wise!

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ تَشِيْعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِى الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌۙ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ١٩

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang ingin agar (berita) perbuatan yang amat keji itu tersiar di kalangan orang-orang yang beriman, bagi mereka azab yang pedih di dunia dan di akhirat. Dan Allah mengetahui, sedang, kamu tidak mengetahui.

EN Translation Verily, as for those who like [to hear] foul slander spread against [any of] those who have attained to faith grievous suffering awaits them in this world and in the life to come: for God knows [the full truth], whereas you know [it] not.

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ رَءُوْفٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan sekiranya tidaklah karena kurnia Allah dan rahmat-Nya kepada kamu semua, dan Allah Maha Penyantun dan Maha Penyayang, (niscaya kamu akan ditimpa azab yang besar).

EN Translation And were it not for God’s favour upon you and His grace, and that God is compassionate, a dispenser of grace...!

۞ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَتَّبِعُوْا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِۗ وَمَنْ يَّتَّبِعْ خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِ فَاِنَّهٗ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاۤءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ مَا زَكٰى مِنْكُمْ مِّنْ اَحَدٍ اَبَدًاۙ وَّلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزَكِّيْ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ ٢١

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu mengikuti langkah-langkah syaitan. Barangsiapa yang mengikuti langkah-langkah syaitan, maka sesungguhnya syaitan itu menyuruh mengerjakan perbuatan yang keji dan yang mungkar. Sekiranya tidaklah karena kurnia Allah dan rahmat-Nya kepada kamu sekalian, niscaya tidak seorangpun dari kamu bersih (dari perbuatan-perbuatan keji dan mungkar itu) selama-lamanya, tetapi Allah membersihkan siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya. Dan Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation O You who have attained to faith! Follow not Satan’s footsteps: for he who follows Satan’s foot­steps [will find that], behold, he enjoins but deeds of abomination and all that runs counter to reason. And were it not for God’s favour upon you and His grace, not one of you would ever have remained pure. For [thus it is:] God who causes whomever He wills to grow in purity: for God is all-hearing, all-­knowing.

وَلَا يَأْتَلِ اُولُو الْفَضْلِ مِنْكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ اَنْ يُّؤْتُوْٓا اُولِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْمَسٰكِيْنَ وَالْمُهٰجِرِيْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۖوَلْيَعْفُوْا وَلْيَصْفَحُوْاۗ اَلَا تُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ يَّغْفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ ۗوَاللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٢٢

ID Translation Dan janganlah orang-orang yang mempunyai kelebihan dan kelapangan di antara kamu bersumpah bahwa mereka (tidak) akan memberi (bantuan) kepada kaum kerabat(nya), orang-orang yang miskin dan orang-orang yang berhijrah pada jalan Allah, dan hendaklah mereka memaafkan dan berlapang dada. Apakah kamu tidak ingin bahwa Allah mengampunimu? Dan Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang,

EN Translation Hence, [even if they have been wronged by slander,] let not those of you who have been graced with God’s favour and ease of life ever become remiss in helping [the erring ones among] their near of kin, and the needy, and those who have forsaken the domain of evil for the sake of God, but let them pardon and forbear. [For,] do you not desire that God should forgive you your sins, seeing that God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace?

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ الْمُحْصَنٰتِ الْغٰفِلٰتِ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ لُعِنُوْا فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ۙ ٢٣

ID Translation Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang menuduh wanita yang baik-baik, yang lengah lagi beriman (berbuat zina), mereka kena laknat di dunia dan akhirat, dan bagi mereka azab yang besar,

EN Translation [But,] verily, those who [falsely, and without repentance,] accuse chaste women who may have been unthinkingly careless but have remained true to their faith, shall be rejected [from God’s grace] in this world as well as in the life to come: and awesome suffering awaits them

يَّوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ اَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَاَيْدِيْهِمْ وَاَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٤

ID Translation pada hari (ketika), lidah, tangan dan kaki mereka menjadi saksi atas mereka terhadap apa yang dahulu mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation on the Day when their own tongues and hands and feet will bear witness against them by [recalling] all that they did!

يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يُّوَفِّيْهِمُ اللّٰهُ دِيْنَهُمُ الْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنُ ٢٥

ID Translation Di hari itu, Allah akan memberi mereka balasan yag setimpal menurut semestinya, dan tahulah mereka bahwa Allah-lah yang Benar, lagi Yang menjelaskan (segala sesutatu menurut hakikat yang sebenarnya).

EN Translation On that day God will pay them in full their just due, and they will come to know that God alone is the Ultimate Truth, manifest, and manifesting [the true nature of all that has ever been done].

اَلْخَبِيْثٰتُ لِلْخَبِيْثِيْنَ وَالْخَبِيْثُوْنَ لِلْخَبِيْثٰتِۚ وَالطَّيِّبٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِيْنَ وَالطَّيِّبُوْنَ لِلطَّيِّبٰتِۚ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ مُبَرَّءُوْنَ مِمَّا يَقُوْلُوْنَۗ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ ٢٦

ID Translation Wanita-wanita yang keji adalah untuk laki-laki yang keji, dan laki-laki yang keji adalah buat wanita-wanita yang keji (pula), dan wanita-wanita yang baik adalah untuk laki-laki yang baik dan laki-laki yang baik adalah untuk wanita-wanita yang baik (pula). Mereka (yang dituduh) itu bersih dari apa yang dituduhkan oleh mereka (yang menuduh itu). Bagi mereka ampunan dan rezeki yang mulia (surga).

EN Translation [In the nature of things,] corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men, for corrupt women - just as good women are for good men, and good men, for good women. [Since God is aware that] these are innocent of all that evil tongues may impute to them, forgiveness of sins shall be theirs, and a most excellent sustenance!

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَدْخُلُوْا بُيُوْتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوْتِكُمْ حَتّٰى تَسْتَأْنِسُوْا وَتُسَلِّمُوْا عَلٰٓى اَهْلِهَاۗ ذٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٢٧

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu memasuki rumah yang bukan rumahmu sebelum meminta izin dan memberi salam kepada penghuninya. Yang demikian itu lebih baik bagimu, agar kamu (selalu) ingat.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not enter houses other than your own unless you have obtained permission and greeted their inmates. This is [enjoined upon you] for your own good, so that you might bear [your mutual rights] in mind.

فَاِنْ لَّمْ تَجِدُوْا فِيْهَآ اَحَدًا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوْهَا حَتّٰى يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ وَاِنْ قِيْلَ لَكُمُ ارْجِعُوْا فَارْجِعُوْا هُوَ اَزْكٰى لَكُمْ ۗوَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ عَلِيْمٌ ٢٨

ID Translation Jika kamu tidak menemui seorangpun didalamnya, maka janganlah kamu masuk sebelum kamu mendapat izin. Dan jika dikatakan kepadamu: "Kembali (saja)lah, maka hendaklah kamu kembali. Itu bersih bagimu dan Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation Hence, [even] if you find no one within [the house], do not enter it until you are given leave; and if you are told, “Turn back,” then turn back. This will be most conducive to your purity; and God has full knowledge of all that you do.

لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ تَدْخُلُوْا بُيُوْتًا غَيْرَ مَسْكُوْنَةٍ فِيْهَا مَتَاعٌ لَّكُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُوْنَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُوْنَ ٢٩

ID Translation Tidak ada dosa atasmu memasuki rumah yang tidak disediakan untuk didiami, yang di dalamnya ada keperluanmu, dan Allah mengetahui apa yang kamu nyatakan dan apa yang kamu sembunyikan.

EN Translation [On the other hand,] you will incur no sin if you [freely] enter houses not intended for living in but serving a purpose useful to you: but [always remember that] God knows all that you do openly, and all that you would conceal.

قُلْ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَغُضُّوْا مِنْ اَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوْا فُرُوْجَهُمْۗ ذٰلِكَ اَزْكٰى لَهُمْۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيْرٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُوْنَ ٣٠

ID Translation Katakanlah kepada orang laki-laki yang beriman: "Hendaklah mereka menahan pandanganya, dan memelihara kemaluannya; yang demikian itu adalah lebih suci bagi mereka, sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka perbuat".

EN Translation Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and to be mindful of their chastity: this will be most con­ducive to their purity – [and,] verily, God is aware of all that they do.

وَقُلْ لِّلْمُؤْمِنٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ اَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوْجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِيْنَ زِيْنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلٰى جُيُوْبِهِنَّۖ وَلَا يُبْدِيْنَ زِيْنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا لِبُعُوْلَتِهِنَّ اَوْ اٰبَاۤىِٕهِنَّ اَوْ اٰبَاۤءِ بُعُوْلَتِهِنَّ اَوْ اَبْنَاۤىِٕهِنَّ اَوْ اَبْنَاۤءِ بُعُوْلَتِهِنَّ اَوْ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ اَوْ بَنِيْٓ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ اَوْ بَنِيْٓ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ اَوْ نِسَاۤىِٕهِنَّ اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُنَّ اَوِ التَّابِعِيْنَ غَيْرِ اُولِى الْاِرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ اَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِيْنَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوْا عَلٰى عَوْرٰتِ النِّسَاۤءِ ۖوَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِاَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِيْنَ مِنْ زِيْنَتِهِنَّۗ وَتُوْبُوْٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ جَمِيْعًا اَيُّهَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ ٣١

ID Translation Katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: "Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangannya, dan kemaluannya, dan janganlah mereka menampakkan perhiasannya, kecuali yang (biasa) nampak dari padanya. Dan hendaklah mereka menutupkan kain kudung kedadanya, dan janganlah menampakkan perhiasannya kecuali kepada suami mereka, atau ayah mereka, atau ayah suami mereka, atau putera-putera mereka, atau putera-putera suami mereka, atau saudara-saudara laki-laki mereka, atau putera-putera saudara lelaki mereka, atau putera-putera saudara perempuan mereka, atau wanita-wanita islam, atau budak-budak yang mereka miliki, atau pelayan-pelayan laki-laki yang tidak mempunyai keinginan (terhadap wanita) atau anak-anak yang belum mengerti tentang aurat wanita. Dan janganlah mereka memukulkan kakinyua agar diketahui perhiasan yang mereka sembunyikan. Dan bertaubatlah kamu sekalian kepada Allah, hai orang-orang yang beriman supaya kamu beruntung.

EN Translation And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and to be mindful of their chastity, and not to display their charms [in public] beyond what may [decently] be apparent thereof; hence, let them draw their head-coverings over their bosoms. And let them not display [more of] their charms to any but their husbands, or their fathers, or their husbands’ fathers, or their sons, or their husbands’ Sons, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their womenfolk, or those whom they rightfully possess, or such male attendants as are beyond all sexual desire, or children that are as yet unaware of women’s nakedness; and let them not swing their legs [in walking] so as to draw attention to their hidden charms And [always], O you believers - all of you - turn unto God in repentance, so that you might attain to a happy state!

وَاَنْكِحُوا الْاَيَامٰى مِنْكُمْ وَالصّٰلِحِيْنَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَاِمَاۤىِٕكُمْۗ اِنْ يَّكُوْنُوْا فُقَرَاۤءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيْمٌ ٣٢

ID Translation Dan kawinkanlah orang-orang yang sedirian diantara kamu, dan orang-orang yang layak (berkawin) dari hamba-hamba sahayamu yang lelaki dan hamba-hamba sahayamu yang perempuan. Jika mereka miskin Allah akan memampukan mereka dengan kurnia-Nya. Dan Allah Maha luas (pemberian-Nya) lagi Maha Mengetahui.

EN Translation AND [you ought to] marry the single from among you as well as such of your male and female slaves as are fit [for marriage]. If they [whom you intend to marry] are poor, [let this not deter you;] God will grant them sufficiency out of His bounty - for God is infinite [in His mercy], all-knowing.

وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَجِدُوْنَ نِكَاحًا حَتّٰى يُغْنِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ ۗوَالَّذِيْنَ يَبْتَغُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوْهُمْ اِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيْهِمْ خَيْرًا وَّاٰتُوْهُمْ مِّنْ مَّالِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْٓ اٰتٰىكُمْ ۗوَلَا تُكْرِهُوْا فَتَيٰتِكُمْ عَلَى الْبِغَاۤءِ اِنْ اَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوْا عَرَضَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۗوَمَنْ يُّكْرِهْهُّنَّ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اِكْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٣٣

ID Translation Dan orang-orang yang tidak mampu kawin hendaklah menjaga kesucian (diri)nya, sehingga Allah memampukan mereka dengan karunia-Nya. Dan budak-budak yang kamu miliki yang memginginkan perjanjian, hendaklah kamu buat perjanjian dengan mereka, jika kamu mengetahui ada kebaikan pada mereka, dan berikanlah kepada mereka sebahagian dari harta Allah yang dikaruniakan-Nya kepadamu. Dan janganlah kamu paksa budak-budak wanitamu untuk melakukan pelacuran, sedang mereka sendiri mengingini kesucian, karena kamu hendak mencari keuntungan duniawi. Dan barangsiapa yang memaksa mereka, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang (kepada mereka) sesudah mereka dipaksa itu.

EN Translation And as for those who are unable to marry, let them live in continence until God grants them sufficiency out of His bounty, And if any of those whom you rightfully possess desire [to obtain] a deed of freedom, write it out for them if you are aware of any good in them: and give them [their share of the wealth of God which He has given you. And do not, in order to gain some of the fleeting pleasures of this worldly life, coerce your [slave] maidens into whoredom if they happen to be desirous of marriage; and if anyone should coerce them, then, verily, after they have been compelled [to submit in their helplessness], God will be much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

وَلَقَدْ اَنْزَلْنَآ اِلَيْكُمْ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍ وَّمَثَلًا مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَ ٣٤

ID Translation Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan kepada kamu ayat-ayat yang memberi penerangan, dan contoh-contoh dari orang-orang yang terdahulu sebelum kamu dan pelajaran bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa.

EN Translation AND, INDEED, from on high have We bestowed upon you messages clearly showing the truth, and [many] a lesson from [the stories of] those who have passed away before you, and [many] an admonition to the God-conscious.

۞ اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِيْهَا مِصْبَاحٌۗ اَلْمِصْبَاحُ فِيْ زُجَاجَةٍۗ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۙ يَّكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيْۤءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۗ نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍۗ يَهْدِى اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَيَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ۙ ٣٥

ID Translation Allah (Pemberi) cahaya (kepada) langit dan bumi. Perumpamaan cahaya Allah, adalah seperti sebuah lubang yang tak tembus, yang di dalamnya ada pelita besar. Pelita itu di dalam kaca (dan) kaca itu seakan-akan bintang (yang bercahaya) seperti mutiara, yang dinyalakan dengan minyak dari pohon yang berkahnya, (yaitu) pohon zaitun yang tumbuh tidak di sebelah timur (sesuatu) dan tidak pula di sebelah barat(nya), yang minyaknya (saja) hampir-hampir menerangi, walaupun tidak disentuh api. Cahaya di atas cahaya (berlapis-lapis), Allah membimbing kepada cahaya-Nya siapa yang dia kehendaki, dan Allah memperbuat perumpamaan-perumpamaan bagi manusia, dan Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.

EN Translation God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His light is, as it were, that of a niche containing a lamp; the lamp is [enclosed] in glass, the glass [shining] like a radiant star: [a lamp] lit from a blessed tree - an olive-tree that is neither of the east nor of the west the oil whereof [is so bright that it] would well-nigh give light [of itself] even though fire had not touched it: light upon light! God guides unto His light him that wills [to be guided]; and [to this end] God propounds parables unto men, since God [alone] has full knowledge of all things.

فِيْ بُيُوْتٍ اَذِنَ اللّٰهُ اَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيْهَا اسْمُهٗۙ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ فِيْهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْاٰصَالِ ۙ ٣٦

ID Translation Bertasbih kepada Allah di masjid-masjid yang telah diperintahkan untuk dimuliakan dan disebut nama-Nya di dalamnya, pada waktu pagi dan waktu petang,

EN Translation IN THE HOUSES [of worship] which God has allowed to be raised so that His name be remembered in them, there [are such as] extol His limitless glory at morn and evening –

رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيْهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَّلَا بَيْعٌ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ وَاِقَامِ الصَّلٰوةِ وَاِيْتَاۤءِ الزَّكٰوةِ ۙيَخَافُوْنَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيْهِ الْقُلُوْبُ وَالْاَبْصَارُ ۙ ٣٧

ID Translation laki-laki yang tidak dilalaikan oleh perniagaan dan tidak (pula) oleh jual beli dari mengingati Allah, dan (dari) mendirikan sembahyang, dan (dari) membayarkan zakat. Mereka takut kepada suatu hari yang (di hari itu) hati dan penglihatan menjadi goncang.

EN Translation people whom neither [worldly] commerce nor striving after gain can divert from the remembrance of God, and from con­stancy in prayer, and from charity: [people] who are filled with fear [at the thought] of the Day On which all hearts and eyes will be convulsed,

لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوْا وَيَزِيْدَهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ٣٨

ID Translation (Meraka mengerjakan yang demikian itu) supaya Allah memberikan balasan kepada mereka (dengan balasan) yang lebih baik dari apa yang telah mereka kerjakan, dan supaya Allah menambah karunia-Nya kepada mereka. Dan Allah memberi rezeki kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya tanpa batas.

EN Translation [and who only hope] that God may reward them in accordance with the best that they ever did, and give them, out of His bounty, more [than they deserve]: for, God grants sustenance unto whom He wills, beyond all reckon­ing.

وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۢ بِقِيْعَةٍ يَّحْسَبُهُ الظَّمْاٰنُ مَاۤءًۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءَهٗ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًٔا وَّوَجَدَ اللّٰهَ عِنْدَهٗ فَوَفّٰىهُ حِسَابَهٗ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ ۙ ٣٩

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir amal-amal mereka adalah laksana fatamorgana di tanah yang datar, yang disangka air oleh orang-orang yang dahaga, tetapi bila didatanginya air itu dia tidak mendapatinya sesuatu apapun. Dan didapatinya (ketetapan) Allah disisinya, lalu Allah memberikan kepadanya perhitungan amal-amal dengan cukup dan Allah adalah sangat cepat perhitungan-Nya.

EN Translation But as for those who are bent on denying the truth, their [good] deeds are like a mirage in the desert, which the thirsty supposes to be water – until, when he approaches it, he finds that it was nothing: instead, he finds [that] God [has always been present] with him, and [that] He will pay him his account in full - for God is swift in reckoning!

اَوْ كَظُلُمٰتٍ فِيْ بَحْرٍ لُّجِّيٍّ يَّغْشٰىهُ مَوْجٌ مِّنْ فَوْقِهٖ مَوْجٌ مِّنْ فَوْقِهٖ سَحَابٌۗ ظُلُمٰتٌۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍۗ اِذَآ اَخْرَجَ يَدَهٗ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرٰىهَاۗ وَمَنْ لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ نُوْرًا فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ نُّوْرٍ ٤٠

ID Translation Atau seperti gelap gulita di lautan yang dalam, yang diliputi oleh ombak, yang di atasnya ombak (pula), di atasnya (lagi) awan; gelap gulita yang tindih-bertindih, apabila dia mengeluarkan tangannya, tiadalah dia dapat melihatnya, (dan) barangsiapa yang tiada diberi cahaya (petunjuk) oleh Allah tiadalah dia mempunyai cahaya sedikitpun.

EN Translation Or [else, their deeds are] like the depths of darkness upon an abysmal sea, made yet more dark by wave billowing over wave, with [black] clouds above it all: depths of darkness, layer upon layer, [so that] when one holds up his hand, he can hardly see it: for he to whom God gives no light, no light whatever has he!

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَنْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَالطَّيْرُ صٰۤفّٰتٍۗ كُلٌّ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهٗ وَتَسْبِيْحَهٗۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُوْنَ ٤١

ID Translation Tidaklah kamu tahu bahwasanya Allah: kepada-Nya bertasbih apa yang di langit dan di bumi dan (juga) burung dengan mengembangkan sayapnya. Masing-masing telah mengetahui (cara) sembahyang dan tasbihnya, dan Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka kerjakan.

EN Translation ART THOU NOT aware that it is God whose limit­less glory all [creatures] that are in the heavens and on earth extol, even the birds as they spread out their wings? Each [of them] knows indeed how to pray unto Him and to glorify Him; and God has full knowledge of all that they do:

وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الْمَصِيْرُ ٤٢

ID Translation Dan kepunyaan Allah-lah kerajaan langit dan bumi dan kepada Allah-lah kembali (semua makhluk).

EN Translation for, God’s is the dominion over the heavens and the earth, and with God is all journeys’ end.

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزْجِيْ سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهٗ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهٗ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلٰلِهٖۚ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مِنْ جِبَالٍ فِيْهَا مِنْۢ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيْبُ بِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَصْرِفُهٗ عَنْ مَّنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهٖ يَذْهَبُ بِالْاَبْصَارِ ۗ ٤٣

ID Translation Tidaklah kamu melihat bahwa Allah mengarak awan, kemudian mengumpulkan antara (bagian-bagian)nya, kemudian menjadikannya bertindih-tindih, maka kelihatanlah olehmu hujan keluar dari celah-celahnya dan Allah (juga) menurunkan (butiran-butiran) es dari langit, (yaitu) dari (gumpalan-gumpalan awan seperti) gunung-gunung, maka ditimpakan-Nya (butiran-butiran) es itu kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan dipalingkan-Nya dari siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya. Kilauan kilat awan itu hampir-hampir menghilangkan penglihatan.

EN Translation Art thou not aware that it is God who causes the clouds to move onward, then joins them together, then piles them up in masses, until thou can see rain come forth from their midst? And He it is who sends down from the skies, by degrees, mountainous masses [of clouds] charged with hail, striking therewith whomever He wills and averting it from whomever He wills, [the while] the flash of His lightning well-nigh deprives [men of their] sight!

يُقَلِّبُ اللّٰهُ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّاُولِى الْاَبْصَارِ ٤٤

ID Translation Allah mempergantikan malam dan siang. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu terdapat pelajaran yang besar bagi orang-orang yang mempunyai penglihatan.

EN Translation It is God who causes night and day to alter­nate: in this [too], behold, there is surely a lesson for all who have eyes to see!

وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَاۤبَّةٍ مِّنْ مَّاۤءٍۚ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّمْشِيْ عَلٰى بَطْنِهٖۚ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّمْشِيْ عَلٰى رِجْلَيْنِۚ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّمْشِيْ عَلٰٓى اَرْبَعٍۗ يَخْلُقُ اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَاۤءُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ٤٥

ID Translation Dan Allah telah menciptakan semua jenis hewan dari air, maka sebagian dari hewan itu ada yang berjalan di atas perutnya dan sebagian berjalan dengan dua kaki sedang sebagian (yang lain) berjalan dengan empat kaki. Allah menciptakan apa yang dikehendaki-Nya, sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.

EN Translation And it is God who has created all animals out of water; and [He has willed that] among them are such as crawl on their bellies, and such as walk on two legs, and such as walk on four. God creates what He will: for, verily, God has the power to will anything.

لَقَدْ اَنْزَلْنَآ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَهْدِيْ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ ٤٦

ID Translation Sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan ayat-ayat yang menjelaskan. Dan Allah memimpin siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya kepada jalan yang lurus.

EN Translation INDEED, from on high have We bestowed messages clearly showing the truth; but God guides onto a straight way [only] him that wills [to be guided].

وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَبِالرَّسُوْلِ وَاَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَۗ وَمَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٤٧

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Kami telah beriman kepada Allah dan rasul, dan kami mentaati (keduanya)". Kemudian sebagian dari mereka berpaling sesudah itu, sekali-kali mereka itu bukanlah orang-orang yang beriman.

EN Translation For, [many are] they [who] say, “We believe in God and in the Apostle, and we pay heed!” - but then, some of them turn away after this [assertion]: and these are by no means [true] believers.

وَاِذَا دُعُوْٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ اِذَا فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ٤٨

ID Translation Dan apabila mereka dipanggil kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya, agar rasul menghukum (mengadili) di antara mereka, tiba-tiba sebagian dari mereka menolak untuk datang.

EN Translation And [so it is that] whenever they are summoned unto God and His Apostle in order that [the divine writ] might judge between them, lo! some of them turn away;

وَاِنْ يَّكُنْ لَّهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوْٓا اِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِيْنَ ٤٩

ID Translation Tetapi jika keputusan itu untuk (kemaslahatan) mereka, mereka datang kepada rasul dengan patuh.

EN Translation but if the truth happens to be to their liking, they are quite willing to accept it!

اَفِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ اَمِ ارْتَابُوْٓا اَمْ يَخَافُوْنَ اَنْ يَّحِيْفَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ ۗبَلْ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٥٠

ID Translation Apakah (ketidak datangan mereka itu karena) dalam hati mereka ada penyakit, atau (karena) mereka ragu-ragu ataukah (karena) takut kalau-kalau Allah dan rasul-Nya berlaku zalim kepada mereka? Sebenarnya, mereka itulah orang-orang yang zalim.

EN Translation Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they begun to doubt [that this is a divine writ]? Or do they fear that God and His Apostle might deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is [but] they, they who are doing wrong [to themselves]!

اِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اِذَا دُعُوْٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ اَنْ يَّقُوْلُوْا سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَاۗ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ٥١

ID Translation Sesungguhnya jawaban oran-orang mukmin, bila mereka dipanggil kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya agar rasul menghukum (mengadili) di antara mereka ialah ucapan. "Kami mendengar, dan kami patuh". Dan mereka itulah orang-orang yang beruntung.

EN Translation The only response of believers, whenever they are summoned unto God and His Apostle in order that [the divine writ] might judge between them, can be no other than, “We have heard, and we pay heed!”- and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state:

وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَيَخْشَ اللّٰهَ وَيَتَّقْهِ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْفَاۤىِٕزُوْنَ ٥٢

ID Translation Dan barang siapa yang taat kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya dan takut kepada Allah dan bertakwa kepada-Nya, maka mereka adalah orang-orang yang mendapat kemenangan.

EN Translation for, they who pay heed unto God and His Apostle, and stand in awe of God and are conscious of Him, it is they, they who shall triumph [in the end]!

۞ وَاَقْسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْ لَىِٕنْ اَمَرْتَهُمْ لَيَخْرُجُنَّۗ قُلْ لَّا تُقْسِمُوْاۚ طَاعَةٌ مَّعْرُوْفَةٌ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيْرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٥٣

ID Translation Dan mereka bersumpah dengan nama Allah sekuat-kuat sumpah, jika kamu suruh mereka berperang, pastilah mereka akan pergi. Katakanlah: "Janganlah kamu bersumpah, (karena ketaatan yang diminta ialah) ketaatan yang sudah dikenal. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

EN Translation Now [as for those half-hearted ones,] they do swear by God with their most solemn oaths that if thou [O Apostle] shouldst ever bid them to do so, they would most certainly go forth [and sacrifice themselves]. Say: “Swear not! Reasonable compliance [with God’s message is all that is required of you]. Verily, God is aware of all that you do!”

قُلْ اَطِيْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوا الرَّسُوْلَۚ فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ مَّا حُمِّلْتُمْۗ وَاِنْ تُطِيْعُوْهُ تَهْتَدُوْاۗ وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُوْلِ اِلَّا الْبَلٰغُ الْمُبِيْنُ ٥٤

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Taat kepada Allah dan taatlah kepada rasul; dan jika kamu berpaling maka sesungguhnya kewajiban rasul itu adalah apa yang dibebankan kepadanya, dan kewajiban kamu sekalian adalah semata-mata apa yang dibebankan kepadamu. Dan jika kamu taat kepadanya, niscaya kamu mendapat petunjuk. Dan tidak lain kewajiban rasul itu melainkan menyampaikan (amanat Allah) dengan terang".

EN Translation Say: “Pay heed unto God, and pay heed unto the Apostle.” And if you turn away [from the Apostle, know that] he will have to answer only for whatever he has been charged with, and you, for what you have been charged with; but if you pay heed unto him, you will be on the right way. Withal, the Apostle is not bound to do more than clearly deliver the message [entrust­ed to him].

وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۖ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِيْنَهُمُ الَّذِى ارْتَضٰى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ اَمْنًاۗ يَعْبُدُوْنَنِيْ لَا يُشْرِكُوْنَ بِيْ شَيْـًٔاۗ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ ٥٥

ID Translation Dan Allah telah berjanji kepada orang-orang yang beriman di antara kamu dan mengerjakan amal-amal yang saleh bahwa Dia sungguh-sungguh akan menjadikan mereka berkuasa dimuka bumi, sebagaimana Dia telah menjadikan orang-orang sebelum mereka berkuasa, dan sungguh Dia akan meneguhkan bagi mereka agama yang telah diridhai-Nya untuk mereka, dan Dia benar-benar akan menukar (keadaan) mereka, sesudah mereka dalam ketakutan menjadi aman sentausa. Mereka tetap menyembahku-Ku dengan tiada mempersekutukan sesuatu apapun dengan Aku. Dan barangsiapa yang (tetap) kafir sesudah (janji) itu, maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang fasik.

EN Translation God has promised those of you who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds that, of a certainty, He will cause them to accede to power on earth, even as He caused [some of] those who lived before them to accede to it; and that, of a certainty, He will firmly establish for them the religion which He has been pleased to bestow on them; and that, of a certainty, He will cause their erstwhile state of fear to be replaced by a sense of security [seeing that] they worship Me [alone], not ascribing divine powers to aught beside Me. But all who, after [having understood] this, choose to deny the truth - it is they, they who are truly iniquitous!

وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَطِيْعُوا الرَّسُوْلَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ ٥٦

ID Translation Dan dirikanlah sembahyang, tunaikanlah zakat, dan taatlah kepada rasul, supaya kamu diberi rahmat.

EN Translation Hence, [O believers,] be constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto the Apostle, so that you might be graced with God’s mercy.

لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مُعْجِزِيْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِۚ وَمَأْوٰىهُمُ النَّارُۗ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ ٥٧

ID Translation Janganlah kamu kira bahwa orang-orang yang kafir itu dapat melemahkan (Allah dari mengazab mereka) di bumi ini, sedang tempat tinggal mereka (di akhirat) adalah neraka. Dan sungguh amat jeleklah tempat kembali itu.

EN Translation [And] think not that those who are bent on denying the truth can elude [their final reckoning even if they remain unscathed] on earth: the fire is their goal [in the life to come] - and vile indeed is such a journey’s end!

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لِيَسْتَأْذِنْكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ وَالَّذِيْنَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحُلُمَ مِنْكُمْ ثَلٰثَ مَرّٰتٍۗ مِنْ قَبْلِ صَلٰوةِ الْفَجْرِ وَحِيْنَ تَضَعُوْنَ ثِيَابَكُمْ مِّنَ الظَّهِيْرَةِ وَمِنْۢ بَعْدِ صَلٰوةِ الْعِشَاۤءِۗ ثَلٰثُ عَوْرٰتٍ لَّكُمْۗ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعْدَهُنَّۗ طَوَّافُوْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الْاٰيٰتِۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٥٨

ID Translation Hai orang-orang yang beriman, hendaklah budak-budak (lelaki dan wanita) yang kamu miliki, dan orang-orang yang belum balig di antara kamu, meminta izin kepada kamu tiga kali (dalam satu hari) yaitu: sebelum sembahyang subuh, ketika kamu menanggalkan pakaian (luar)mu di tengah hari dan sesudah sembahyang Isya'. (Itulah) tiga aurat bagi kamu. Tidak ada dosa atasmu dan tidak (pula) atas mereka selain dari (tiga waktu) itu. Mereka melayani kamu, sebahagian kamu (ada keperluan) kepada sebahagian (yang lain). Demikianlah Allah menjelaskan ayat-ayat bagi kamu. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation O YOU who have attained to faith! At three times [of day], let [even] those whom you rightfully pos­sess, as well as those from among you who have not yet attained to puberty, ask leave of you [before intruding upon your privacy]: before the prayer of daybreak, and whenever you lay aside your garments in the middle of the day, and after the prayer of nightfall: the three occasions on which your nakedness is likely to be bared. Beyond these [occasions], neither you nor they will incur any sin if they move [freely] about you, attending to [the needs of] one another. In this way God makes clear unto you His mes­sages: for God is all-knowing, wise!

وَاِذَا بَلَغَ الْاَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوْا كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ اٰيٰتِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٥٩

ID Translation Dan apabila anak-anakmu telah sampai umur balig, maka hendaklah mereka meminta izin, seperti orang-orang yang sebelum mereka meminta izin. Demikianlah Allah menjelaskan ayat-ayat-Nya. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation Yet when the children among you attain to puberty, let them ask leave of you [at all times], even as those [who have reached maturity] before them have been enjoined to ask it. In this way God makes clear unto you His mes­sages: for God is all-knowing, wise!

وَالْقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَاۤءِ الّٰتِيْ لَا يَرْجُوْنَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ يَّضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجٰتٍۢ بِزِيْنَةٍۗ وَاَنْ يَّسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُنَّۗ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ ٦٠

ID Translation Dan perempuan-perempuan tua yang telah terhenti (dari haid dan mengandung) yang tiada ingin kawin (lagi), tiadalah atas mereka dosa menanggalkan pakaian mereka dengan tidak (bermaksud) menampakkan perhiasan, dan berlaku sopan adalah lebih baik bagi mereka. Dan Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Bijaksana.

EN Translation AND [know that] women advanced in years, who no longer feel any sexual desire, incur no sin if they discard their [outer] garments, provided they do not aim at a showy display of [their] charms. But [even so,] it is better for them to abstain [from this]: and God is all-hearing, all-knowing.

لَيْسَ عَلَى الْاَعْمٰى حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الْاَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الْمَرِيْضِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَنْ تَأْكُلُوْا مِنْۢ بُيُوْتِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اٰبَاۤىِٕكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اِخْوَانِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اَخَوٰتِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اَعْمَامِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ عَمّٰتِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ اَخْوَالِكُمْ اَوْ بُيُوْتِ خٰلٰتِكُمْ اَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُمْ مَّفَاتِحَهٗٓ اَوْ صَدِيْقِكُمْۗ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ تَأْكُلُوْا جَمِيْعًا اَوْ اَشْتَاتًاۗ فَاِذَا دَخَلْتُمْ بُيُوْتًا فَسَلِّمُوْا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةً مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ مُبٰرَكَةً طَيِّبَةً ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الْاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٦١

ID Translation Tidak ada halangan bagi orang buta, tidak (pula) bagi orang pincang, tidak (pula) bagi orang sakit, dan tidak (pula) bagi dirimu sendiri, makan (bersama-sama mereka) dirumah kamu sendiri atau dirumah bapak-bapakmu, dirumah ibu-ibumu, dirumah saudara-saudaramu yang laki-laki, di rumah saudaramu yang perempuan, dirumah saudara bapakmu yang laki-laki, dirumah saudara bapakmu yang perempuan, dirumah saudara ibumu yang laki-laki, dirumah saudara ibumu yang perempuan, dirumah yang kamu miliki kuncinya atau dirumah kawan-kawanmu. Tidak ada halangan bagi kamu makan bersama-sama mereka atau sendirian. Maka apabila kamu memasuki (suatu rumah dari) rumah-rumah (ini) hendaklah kamu memberi salam kepada (penghuninya yang berarti memberi salam) kepada dirimu sendiri, salam yang ditetapkan dari sisi Allah, yang diberi berkat lagi baik. Demikianlah Allah menjelaskan ayat-ayatnya(Nya) bagimu, agar kamu memahaminya.

EN Translation [ALL OF YOU, O believers, are brethren: hence.] no blame attaches to the blind, nor does blame attach to the lame, nor does blame attach to the sick [for accepting charity from the hale], and neither to your­selves for eating [whatever is offered to you by others, whether it be food obtained] from your [chil­dren’s] houses, or your fathers’ houses, or your mothers’ houses, or your brothers’ houses, or your sisters’ houses, or your paternal uncles’ houses, or your paternal aunts’ houses, or your maternal uncles’ houses, or your maternal aunts’ houses, or [houses] the keys whereof are in your charge! or [the house] of any of your friends; nor will you incur any sin by eating in company or separately. But whenever you enter [any of these] houses, greet one another with a blessed, goodly greeting, as enjoined by God. In this way God makes clear unto you His mes­sages, so that you might [learn to] use your reason.

اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ وَاِذَا كَانُوْا مَعَهٗ عَلٰٓى اَمْرٍ جَامِعٍ لَّمْ يَذْهَبُوْا حَتّٰى يَسْتَأْذِنُوْهُۗ اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْتَأْذِنُوْنَكَ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖۚ فَاِذَا اسْتَأْذَنُوْكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَنْ لِّمَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٦٢

ID Translation Sesungguhnya yang sebenar-benar orang mukmin ialah orang-orang yang beriman kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya, dan apabila mereka berada bersama-sama Rasulullah dalam sesuatu urusan yang memerlukan pertemuan, mereka tidak meninggalkan (Rasulullah) sebelum meminta izin kepadanya. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang meminta izin kepadamu (Muhammad) mereka itulah orang-orang yang beriman kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya, maka apabila mereka meminta izin kepadamu karena sesuatu keperluan, berilah izin kepada siapa yang kamu kehendaki di antara mereka, dan mohonkanlah ampunan untuk mereka kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

EN Translation [TRUE BELIEVERS are only they who have attained to faith in God and His Apostle, and who, whenever they are [engaged] with him upon a matter of concern to the whole community do not depart [from whatever has been decided upon] unless they have sought [and obtained] his leave. Verily, those who [do not abstain from the agreed ­upon action unless they] ask leave of thee - it is [only] they who [truly] believe in God and His Apostle! Hence, when they ask leave of thee for some [valid] reason of their own, grant thou this leave to whomsoever of them thou choose [to grant it], and ask God to forgive them: for, behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

لَا تَجْعَلُوْا دُعَاۤءَ الرَّسُوْلِ بَيْنَكُمْ كَدُعَاۤءِ بَعْضِكُمْ بَعْضًاۗ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ يَتَسَلَّلُوْنَ مِنْكُمْ لِوَاذًاۚ فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِيْنَ يُخَالِفُوْنَ عَنْ اَمْرِهٖٓ اَنْ تُصِيْبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ اَوْ يُصِيْبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ٦٣

ID Translation Janganlah kamu jadikan panggilan Rasul diantara kamu seperti panggilan sebahagian kamu kepada sebahagian (yang lain). Sesungguhnya Allah telah mengetahui orang-orang yang berangsur-angsur pergi di antara kamu dengan berlindung (kepada kawannya), maka hendaklah orang-orang yang menyalahi perintah Rasul takut akan ditimpa cobaan atau ditimpa azab yang pedih.

EN Translation DO NOT regard the Apostles summons to you [in the same light] as a summons of one of you to another: God is indeed aware of those of you who would withdraw surreptitiously: so let those who would go against His bidding beware, lest a [bitter] trial befall them [in this world] or grievous suffering befall them [in the life to come].

اَلَآ اِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَآ اَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِۗ وَيَوْمَ يُرْجَعُوْنَ اِلَيْهِ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوْاۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ٦٤

ID Translation Ketahuilah sesungguhnya kepunyaan Allahlah apa yang di langit dan di bumi. Sesungguhnya Dia mengetahui keadaan yang kamu berada di dalamnya (sekarang). Dan (mengetahui pula) hati (manusia) dikembalikan kepada-Nya, lalu diterangkan-Nya kepada mereka apa yang telah mereka kerjakan. Dan Allah Maha mengehui segala sesuatu.

EN Translation Oh, verily, unto God belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: well does He know where you stand and at what you aim! And one Day, all [who have ever lived] will be brought back unto Him, and then He will make them [truly] understand all that they were doing [in life]: for, God has full knowledge of everything.

تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِيْ نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلٰى عَبْدِهٖ لِيَكُوْنَ لِلْعٰلَمِيْنَ نَذِيْرًا ۙ ١

ID Translation Maha suci Allah yang telah menurunkan Al Furqaan (Al Quran) kepada hamba-Nya, agar dia menjadi pemberi peringatan kepada seluruh alam,

EN Translation Hallowed is He who from on high, step by step, has bestowed upon His servant the standard by which to discern the true from the false, so that to all the world it might be a warning:

ۨالَّذِيْ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَّلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ شَرِيْكٌ فِى الْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهٗ تَقْدِيْرًا ٢

ID Translation yang kepunyaan-Nya-lah kerajaan langit dan bumi, dan Dia tidak mempunyai anak, dan tidak ada sekutu bagi-Nya dalam kekuasaan(Nya), dan dia telah menciptakan segala sesuatu, dan Dia menetapkan ukuran-ukurannya dengan serapi-rapinya.

EN Translation He to whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs, and who begets no offspring, and has no partner in His dominion: for it is He who creates every thing and determines its nature in accordance with [His own] design.

وَاتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖٓ اٰلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُوْنَ شَيْـًٔا وَّهُمْ يُخْلَقُوْنَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ لِاَنْفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفْعًا وَّلَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مَوْتًا وَّلَا حَيٰوةً وَّلَا نُشُوْرًا ٣

ID Translation Kemudian mereka mengambil tuhan-tuhan selain daripada-Nya (untuk disembah), yang tuhan-tuhan itu tidak menciptakan apapun, bahkan mereka sendiri diciptakan dan tidak kuasa untuk (menolak) sesuatu kemudharatan dari dirinya dan tidak (pula untuk mengambil) suatu kemanfaatanpun dan (juga) tidak kuasa mematikan, menghidupkan dan tidak (pula) membangkitkan.

EN Translation And yet, some choose to worship, instead of Him, imaginary deities that cannot create anything but are themselves created, and have it not within their power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, themselves, and have no power over death, nor over life, nor over resurrection!

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اِفْكُ ِۨافْتَرٰىهُ وَاَعَانَهٗ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ اٰخَرُوْنَۚ فَقَدْ جَاۤءُوْ ظُلْمًا وَّزُوْرًا ۚ ٤

ID Translation Dan orang-orang kafir berkata: "Al Quran ini tidak lain hanyalah kebohongan yang diada-adakan oleh Muhammad dan dia dibantu oleh kaum yang lain"; maka sesungguhnya mereka telah berbuat suatu kezaliman dan dusta yang besar.

EN Translation Moreover, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say, “This [Qur’an] is nothing but a lie, which he [himself] has devised with the help of other people, who thereupon have perverted the truth and brought a falsehood into being.”

وَقَالُوْٓا اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلٰى عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًا ٥

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Dongengan-dongengan orang-orang dahulu, dimintanya supaya dituliskan, maka dibacakanlah dongengan itu kepadanya setiap pagi dan petang".

EN Translation And they say, “Fables of ancient times which he has caused to be written down, so that they might be read out to him at morn and evening!”

قُلْ اَنْزَلَهُ الَّذِيْ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا ٦

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Al Quran itu diturunkan oleh (Allah) yang mengetahui rahasia di langit dan di bumi. Sesungguhnya Dia adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang".

EN Translation Say [O Muhammad]: “He who knows all the mysteries of the heavens and the earth has bestowed from on high this [Qur’an upon me]! Verily, He is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!”

وَقَالُوْا مَالِ هٰذَا الرَّسُوْلِ يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِيْ فِى الْاَسْوَاقِۗ لَوْلَآ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُوْنَ مَعَهٗ نَذِيْرًا ۙ ٧

ID Translation Dan mereka berkata: "Mengapa rasul itu memakan makanan dan berjalan di pasar-pasar? Mengapa tidak diturunkan kepadanya seorang malaikat agar malaikat itu memberikan peringatan bersama-sama dengan dia?,

EN Translation Yet they say: What sort of apostle is this [man] who eats food [like all other mortals] and goes about in the market places? Why has not an angel [visibly] been sent down unto him, to act as a warner together with him?”

اَوْ يُلْقٰىٓ اِلَيْهِ كَنْزٌ اَوْ تَكُوْنُ لَهٗ جَنَّةٌ يَّأْكُلُ مِنْهَاۗ وَقَالَ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ اِنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُوْرًا ٨

ID Translation atau (mengapa tidak) diturunkan kepadanya perbendaharaan, atau (mengapa tidak) ada kebun baginya, yang dia dapat makan dari (hasil)nya?" Dan orang-orang yang zalim itu berkata: "Kamu sekalian tidak lain hanyalah mengikuti seorang lelaki yang kena sihir".

EN Translation Or: “[Why has not] a treasure been granted to him [by God]?” Or: “He should [at least] have a [bountiful] garden, so that he could eat thereof [without effort]!” And so these evildoers say [unto one another], “If you were to follow [Muhammad, you would follow] but a man bewitched!”

اُنْظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوْا لَكَ الْاَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوْا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ سَبِيْلًا ٩

ID Translation Perhatikanlah, bagaimana mereka membuat perbandingan-perbandingan tentang kamu, lalu sesatlah mereka, mereka tidak sanggup (mendapatkan) jalan (untuk menentang kerasulanmu).

EN Translation See to what they liken thee, [O Prophet, simply] because they have gone astray and are now unable to find a way to the truth]!

تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِيْٓ اِنْ شَاۤءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّنْ ذٰلِكَ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُۙ وَيَجْعَلْ لَّكَ قُصُوْرًا ١٠

ID Translation Maha Suci (Allah) yang jika Dia menghendaki, niscaya dijadikan-Nya bagimu yang lebih baik dari yang demikian, (yaitu) surga-surga yang mengalir sungai-sungai di bawahnya, dan dijadikan-Nya (pula) untukmu istana-istana.

EN Translation Hallowed is He who, if it be His will, shall give thee something better than that [whereof they speak] - gardens through which running waters flow - and shall assign to thee mansions [of bliss in the life to come].

بَلْ كَذَّبُوْا بِالسَّاعَةِۙ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لِمَنْ كَذَّبَ بِالسَّاعَةِ سَعِيْرًا ١١

ID Translation Bahkan mereka mendustakan hari kiamat. Dan kami menyediakan neraka yang menyala-nyala bagi siapa yang mendustakan hari kiamat.

EN Translation But nay! It is [the very coming of] the Last Hour to which they give the lie! However, for such as give the lie to [the announce­ment of] the Last Hour We have readied a blazing flame:

اِذَا رَاَتْهُمْ مِّنْ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيْدٍ سَمِعُوْا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَّزَفِيْرًا ١٢

ID Translation Apabila neraka itu melihat mereka dari tempat yang jauh, mereka mendengar kegeramannya dan suara nyalanya.

EN Translation when it shall face them from afar, they will hear its angry roar and its hiss;

وَاِذَآ اُلْقُوْا مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِيْنَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُوْرًا ۗ ١٣

ID Translation Dan apabila mereka dilemparkan ke tempat yang sempit di neraka itu dengan dibelenggu, mereka di sana mengharapkan kebinasaan.

EN Translation and when they are flung, linked [all] together, into a tight space within, they will pray for extinction there and then!

لَا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُوْرًا وَّاحِدًا وَّادْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا كَثِيْرًا ١٤

ID Translation (Akan dikatakan kepada mereka): "Jangan kamu sekalian mengharapkan satu kebinasaan, melainkan harapkanlah kebinasaan yang banyak".

EN Translation [But they will be told:] “Pray not today for one single extinction, but pray for many extinctions!”

قُلْ اَذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ اَمْ جَنَّةُ الْخُلْدِ الَّتِيْ وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُوْنَۗ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَاۤءً وَّمَصِيْرًا ١٥

ID Translation Katakanlah: "Apa (azab) yang demikian itukah yang baik, atau surga yang kekal yang telah dijanjikan kepada orang-orang yang bertakwa?" Dia menjadi balasan dan tempat kembali bagi mereka?".

EN Translation Say: “Which is better - that, or the paradise of life abiding which has been promised to the God-conscious as their reward and their journey’s end –

لَهُمْ فِيْهَا مَا يَشَاۤءُوْنَ خٰلِدِيْنَۗ كَانَ عَلٰى رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْـُٔوْلًا ١٦

ID Translation Bagi mereka di dalam surga itu apa yang mereka kehendaki, sedang mereka kekal (di dalamnya). (Hal itu) adalah janji dari Tuhanmu yang patut dimohonkan (kepada-Nya).

EN Translation a promise given by thy Sustainer, [always] to be prayed for?”

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ فَيَقُوْلُ ءَاَنْتُمْ اَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِيْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ اَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيْلَ ۗ ١٧

ID Translation Dan (ingatlah) suatu hari (ketika) Allah menghimpunkan mereka beserta apa yang mereka sembah selain Allah, lalu Allah berkata (kepada yang disembah); "Apakah kamu yang menyesatkan hamba-hamba-Ku itu, atau mereka sendirikah yang sesat dari jalan (yang benar)?".

EN Translation BUT [as for people who are oblivious of thy Sus­tainer’s oneness -] one Day He will gather them together with all that they [now] worship instead of God, and will ask [those to whom divinity was falsely ascribed]: “Was it you who led these My creatures astray, or did they by themselves stray from the right path?”

قَالُوْا سُبْحٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنْۢبَغِيْ لَنَآ اَنْ نَّتَّخِذَ مِنْ دُوْنِكَ مِنْ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ وَلٰكِنْ مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَاٰبَاۤءَهُمْ حَتّٰى نَسُوا الذِّكْرَۚ وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًاۢ بُوْرًا ١٨

ID Translation Mereka (yang disembah itu) menjawab: "Maha Suci Engkau, tidaklah patut bagi kami mengambil selain engkau (untuk jadi) pelindung, akan tetapi Engkau telah memberi mereka dan bapak-bapak mereka kenikmatan hidup, sampai mereka lupa mengingati (Engkau); dan mereka adalah kaum yang binasa".

EN Translation They will answer: “Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! It was inconceivable for us to take for our masters anyone but Thyself! But [as for them -] Thou didst allow them and their forefathers to enjoy [the pleasures of] life to such an extent that they forgot all remembrance [of Thee]: for they were people devoid of all good.”

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْكُمْ بِمَا تَقُوْلُوْنَۙ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ صَرْفًا وَّلَا نَصْرًاۚ وَمَنْ يَّظْلِمْ مِّنْكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيْرًا ١٩

ID Translation maka sesungguhnya mereka (yang disembah itu) telah mendustakan kamu tentang apa yang kamu katakan maka kamu tidak akan dapat menolak (azab) dan tidak (pula) menolong (dirimu), dan barang siapa di antara kamu yang berbuat zalim, niscaya Kami rasakan kepadanya azab yang besar.

EN Translation [Thereupon God will say:] “And now, they [whom you regarded as divine] have given the lie to all your [past] assertions, and you can neither ward off [your punishment] nor obtain any succour! For, whoever of you has committed [such] evil, him shall We cause to taste great suffering!”

وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ اِلَّآ اِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُوْنَ فِى الْاَسْوَاقِۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً ۗ اَتَصْبِرُوْنَۚ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيْرًا ۔ ٢٠

ID Translation Dan Kami tidak mengutus rasul-rasul sebelummu, melainkan mereka sungguh memakan makanan dan berjalan di pasar-pasar. Dan kami jadikan sebahagian kamu cobaan bagi sebahagian yang lain. Maukah kamu bersabar?; dan adalah Tuhanmu maha Melihat.

EN Translation AND [even] before thee, [O Muhammad,] We never sent as Our message-bearers any but [mortal men] who indeed ate food [like other human beings] and went about in the market places: for [it is thus that] We cause you [human beings] to be a means of testing one another. Are you able to endure [this test] with patience? For [remember, O man,] thy Sustainer is truly all-seeing!
